Arms of Imperfection

Looking at my arms,
all I see are railroad tracks.
Railroad tracks due to scars.
Scars that were caused
by acts of self harm.
Thankfully, no more acts of
self harm and now just
reminders of it.

Walking along side someone,
on the path to recovery
is very much like hiking
with a friend.
It’s just this friend is
someone you help guide
through the life of recovery.
A life of recovery which is a
life worth living.

This time last year,
we as a global community didn’t realize by how
much we would end up on the same journey.
A journey of figuring out how to stop the dreaded
Covid-19.
We may be on the same journey to combat this virus;
but we our going our own direction to help others.
It’s both good and bad we go different directions just as long as
we come together in community.
As of right now in the New Year of 2021,
it looks like we are coming together to find a way to eradicate,
the dreaded Covid-19.
Knowing all this brings a sense of hope around the world!!

As with any fork in the road you have a choice;
A choice on what path you want to take.
You can take the path less traveled or choose the path that appears to be more worn down which may appear to be the safer of the two paths.
The more traveled path may not always be the safest way to go on your journey.
A journey that you must walk and decide on your own.
A journey that won’t always be easy so make the decision that is best for you even if it is the path less traveled.
