The U-District Farmer’s Market

Good Afternoon, World!!! It is Saturday afternoon here in Seattle. I went to the U-District Farmers Market like I do every Saturday. I got my usual breakfast sandwich that was yummy like always. This time around I bought myself a bouquet of autumn colored flowers to help cheer myself up. I enjoy buying myself a bouquet of flowers every once in a while.

While at the U-District Farmers Market, I took some pictures. Pictures that are included in this blog post. I have captioned the picture for those readers who are sight impaired.

A street sign saying Farmers Market on a barrier.
My breakfast of a breakfast sandwich.
A sign saying “See you next week.”
Bouquet of flowers I bought myself.

I don’t have anything else to write about nor any other pictures of the Farmers Market to show you. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World

So Far A Good Saturday

Good Morning (again), World!!! I started the day off pretty well by doing a mindfulness meditation practice. I do at least two mindfulness meditation practices a day. One in the morning and one before bed. I find that starting and ending my day with a mindfulness meditation helps with my mental health challenges and my recovery.

I went to the University District’s Farmers Market to have a breakfast sandwich and to help support local farmers. While there I also bought me a sunflower as they are my favorite flower.

A breakfast sandwich I get at the Farmers Market.

The above picture is the breakfast sandwich I devoured. I devoured it because it was good and yummy!!! I got it at a vendor that only sells breakfast sandwiches at the University Districts Farmer’s Market. The U-District Farmer’s Market happens every Saturday, year-round from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

When I arrived home I decided to attend an online twelve step meeting that focuses on adult children that grew up with dysfunctional families and alcoholic parents. I really enjoy going to the twelve step meetings.

Now it is time to cuddle with my kitty cat, Billie. I love my cat so much. I’m thinking I might start a weekly post called Caturday Pictures of Billie for a Saturday post.

I don’t have much else to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Awe, Another Year at the U-District Street Fair

U-District Street Fair Sign. 50 Year Anniversary of the U-District Street Fair

Just like every years since 2001, I attended the University District Street Fair located on “The Ave” in the University District neighborhood in Seattle. I love attending the U-District Street Fair for many reasons. One of which is that it has helped a great deal with my depression with me getting out of the apartment and has become a tradition for me because of that.

Curly Fries. You can watch them make the curly fries from a homemade tool and potato’s they grow on their farm.

The second reason I go to the U-District Street Fair is for the food. Got to love the food. The one food I look forward to every year is the curly fries. This year I had a tough time finding them as the curly fry people weren’t in the same general area as they typically are in. I am grateful that they are still at the U-District Street Fair. Got to love the food.

Just a couple of the characters you see doing street performances at the U-District. In this case it is two people play music with cat mask on.

The third reason I go is for the music as well as the street performances. I love the fact that you are able to see the true character of the U-District with both the street performers and the music they play.

The fourth reason I go is for the art. Sadly, many of the artist don’t like having pictures taken of their art or I would have done so. The only way is to buy the artwork and in most cases I am unable to afford it.

I have many more reasons why I go to the U-District Street Fair but if I mention them all, this would be the never ending post. I want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of thing. If you live in the Seattle area, I hope you get the opportunity to attend the U-District Street Fair. Peace Out, World!!!
