U-District Street Fair Sign. 50 Year Anniversary of the U-District Street Fair
Just like every years since 2001, I attended the University District Street Fair located on “The Ave” in the University District neighborhood in Seattle. I love attending the U-District Street Fair for many reasons. One of which is that it has helped a great deal with my depression with me getting out of the apartment and has become a tradition for me because of that.
Curly Fries. You can watch them make the curly fries from a homemade tool and potato’s they grow on their farm.
The second reason I go to the U-District Street Fair is for the food. Got to love the food. The one food I look forward to every year is the curly fries. This year I had a tough time finding them as the curly fry people weren’t in the same general area as they typically are in. I am grateful that they are still at the U-District Street Fair. Got to love the food.
Just a couple of the characters you see doing street performances at the U-District. In this case it is two people play music with cat mask on.
The third reason I go is for the music as well as the street performances. I love the fact that you are able to see the true character of the U-District with both the street performers and the music they play.
The fourth reason I go is for the art. Sadly, many of the artist don’t like having pictures taken of their art or I would have done so. The only way is to buy the artwork and in most cases I am unable to afford it.
I have many more reasons why I go to the U-District Street Fair but if I mention them all, this would be the never ending post. I want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of thing. If you live in the Seattle area, I hope you get the opportunity to attend the U-District Street Fair. Peace Out, World!!!
Good Evening, World!!! Today has been a great day. I have spent the day with my wonderful partner, Josh. He is an amazing man. We spent the day together having adult fun as well as other fun that is more G rated. It is the G rated stuff I will be discussing in this post.
Junior and myself attended the street fair in our neighborhood. We held hands the entire time. We at lots of food as well. We both got some t-shirts. I only got one but that doesn’t mean I won’t get something tomorrow. Junior got a handful of t-shirts he had to have. We are both t-shirt lovers.
I think I will get going, as I want to spend time with Junior. Have a great day. Peace Out, World!
Good Afternoon, World!!! Today, has been an awesome day. When Junior got home from work I made him some breakfast. Breakfast consisted of French Toast, scrambled eggs and fresh strawberries. After breakfast is when we became passionate.
We became passionate in bed. We made love. Sex only two individuals who are in love can have due to the passion we have for each other.
After a couple of hours of passionate sex, Junior took a nap and I went and got my hair cut. I actually just got it trimmed.
When I get home from getting my hair cut that is when Junior and I went to the street fair. We had a great time looking at the arts and/or crafts people were selling to make some money. The fair food was awesome. The best part was being able to hold hand with Junior.
Thank you for reading. Have a great day. Peace Out, World!!!
Good Morning, World!!! I am sitting here at my laptop with a replay of the royal wedding as it is background noise for me. One of these day Junior and I are actually going to get married but we still haven’t set a date.
I am awake at this early in the morning on a Saturday because I am waiting for Junior to get home from work. Having someone by my side that loves me is a good thing. Junior’s support of me has been never ending and his love is the same; never ending.
Today, Junior and I are going to the street fair in our neighborhood after Junior gets a few hours of sleep due to working a twenty four hour shift as a fire fighter. We both like going to the street fair to look at all the arts and crafts people have made to sell to earn money. Most importantly we love the fair food. This fair has no rides but it sure has plenty of fair food.
Thank you for reading. Have a wonderful weekend world. Peace Out, World!!!
Good Afternoon, World!!! I just got off the phone with my grandpa. He thinks I should start writing short stories and poems more often. He thinks I should create a book of short stories and poems I have written. I have given it a great deal of thought but I don’t know if it would be a good idea to do so. I appreciate that my grandpa thinks it would be a good idea to write a book.
I talked with my therapist supervisor today to discuss what I have planned for the weekend. She is going to relay what I told her to my therapist on Monday so when I talk with him he will know what the plan for the weekend is.
One of the things I plan on doing this weekend is attending the street fair in my neighborhood. It is a yearly event that I attend ever year for the last seventeen years. I have gone every year since I have moved to my neighborhood; rain, shine or somewhere in between. I am looking forward to the fair food. I love the food at fairs. This fair is more of an arts and crafts fair. It has no rides. I love the food. I am a self proclaimed fair foodie if there is such a thing in this world.
I had a great weekend. Yes, I know it’s Tuesday but I am now getting around to writing more about my weekend. I was too exhausted to blog yesterday when I got home.
I really enjoyed my weekend. As I told you in a previous blog my boyfriend and I went to the city where my brother lives to celebrate his birthday. The first night we stayed at his place and the second and third nights we stayed at a hotel. Saturday my boyfriend and I spent most of the day with my brother. We of course had the barbeque at my brothers place. My mom and two of my uncles were there as well as some of brothers friends were at the barbeque. Surprisingly, my mother didn’t cause any drama. After the barbeque was over my boyfriend and I checked into the hotel and then met up with my brother at a local fair/carnival. The three of us of course had a blast.
After my boyfriend and I spent most of Saturday with my brother we decided to spend the rest of the day and pretty much most of Sunday being intimate with each other. For people who have had intensive sexual trauma like I have endured have trouble with sexual intimacy. My boyfriend is always gentle with me and we stop when I need to. It takes a great deal of trust for me or any trauma survivor to be intimate with anyone. My boyfriend has proven time and again that I can trust him. That is a huge deal for me personally and he knows that. Like I have said he is always been gentle with me and I know he wont hurt me. Their is no proof that he will hurt me cause he hasn’t hurt me in the past. I have to believe what the past says about my boyfriend. It has taken a lot of therapy for me to trust a person to be intimate with and I am beyond grateful for that therapy.
After spending most of Sunday being intimate with my boyfriend my brother came over to the hotel we stayed at to watch the fireworks to mark the end of the carnival/fair. I was impressed with fireworks. It takes a lot for me to be impressed with fireworks because of growing up near Disneyland and watching their fireworks. After the fireworks were done my brother and I said our goodbyes and he went home.
My boyfriend and I got home yesterday. We were both extremely tired and that is why I didn’t blog yesterday. I need to cut this blog short because I need to get ready for my session with my therapist. I had to reschedule my session with my therapist because I was out of town. Anyway I hope to blog again later today. Peace out.
Well, its Sunday and I am on vacation. I have been since I got off work this past Friday. I came to the town where my brother lives to celebrate his birthday. Friday night my boyfriend and I stayed at my brother place and we had an awesome time. Last night and tonight we are staying in a hotel. In fact my brother is coming in about 15 minutes because we are going to be watching the fireworks from the balcony of our hotel room. Every year around the time of my brother birthday a fair comes to his town. At the end of the fair (Sunday nights) they light off fireworks. Thankfully my boyfriend and I were able to get a room facing the lake and where the fireworks are going to be set off as well as the fair. Yesterday, my boyfriend and I treated my brother to the fair after we had a barbeque at his place. We had a blast. Surprisingly my mom didn’t cause any drama at my brothers birthday barbeque.
After spending time with my brother yesterday, my boyfriend and I went line dancing. I love that my boyfriend enjoys line dancing and country music. In fact my boyfriend and I have similar taste in music. I will tell you at a later date what type of music I enjoy. Anyway, my boyfriend and I spent all day together having adult fun in our hotel room. We even spent some time at the fair again and walked along the waterfront. It’s always nice to spend some alone time with your significant other to have intimate moments. Intimacy isn’t always an easy thing for someone who has sexual trauma in there life but am glad that I am able to enjoy it.
Well, my brother is now here. He is one big goof ball. I love my brother to pieces. I am grateful that we are as close as we are because of our age difference of 11 years.
I should get going and spend time with my brother and boyfriend. Plus we need to get ready to watch the fireworks. Anyway, I want to spend some time with my brother since my boyfriend and I are going back home tomorrow.
Like I said I need to get going. In all honesty I feel bad for not blogging last night but my boyfriend and I were have some adult fun or intimate moments. I honestly hope to blog tomorrow to let you all know how the fireworks were tonight and to tell you what my boyfriend and I are planning for the rest of our vacation. Well enjoy the rest of your Sunday evening. Peace out all.
