2026 New Year’s Goals

Good Morning and Happy New Year’s World!!! I know it has been New Years for three days now and I apologize for not posting sooner. Hell, I haven’t posted in a while. As always, I have goals to work on in the New Year that tend to change throughout the year. Some are the same as last year due to not completing the goals or just wanting to continue improving myself. I don’t do resolutions as I tend to not accomplish them which is why I do goals as I am more likely to accomplish and achieve them.

My 2026 goals are as follows:

  • Clean apartment and keep it clean
  • Continue mental health treatment
  • Continue seeing my primary care provider on the regular basis
  • Continue working at my current job
  • Continue volunteering at Cat City and Alley Cat Project (ACP)
  • Attend weekly 12 step meetings
  • Do at least two recovery related workbooks
  • Learn about tarot cards
  • Learn about Buddhism
  • Do self-paced Bible Study
  • Read at least four books
  • Do at least three diamond art/painting
  • Color at least two giant coloring posters
  • Do daily meditation

I do not have anything else to discuss or share or to write about in this particular blog post. I want to wish you the reader of my blog a Happy New Year. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog I would not be continuing to write my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

2021 Goals

Good Morning, World!!! It is officially the second day of the new year and as I stated in my last post, I would post my goals for this year. I set goals for the year and not resolutions. I make goals because I am more likely to accomplish them than a resolution. Not only that, goals are ever changing and resolutions not so much or at least that is how it is for me. My goals for 2021 are:

~ Finish The Mindfulness Workbook

~ Complete two workbooks (not including the above mentioned)

~ Clean apartment and maintain cleanliness

~ Maintain new job as a peer

~ Blog an average of twice a month

~ Read six books

~ Walk once daily

~ Mindfulness/Meditation practice twice daily

~ Continue to volunteer at PAWS Cat City

~ Reduce the amount of soda I drink

~ Go out of town at least one night every two months

~ Buy new laptop for myself

I realize I have many goals for myself this coming year. I am planning accomplishing them and when I do, I most likely will add another goal for myself. Something I do on the first of every month throughout the year is reevaluate my goals.

I don’t have much more to say about my goals and will end this particular blog post. Before I end I want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Thinking About New Years Goals

Good Evening, World!!! It is the last Friday of the year and it is hard to believe that 2018 is pretty much over especially since it has been a pretty tough year for me. Yes, things have improved a great deal for me this year however I am grateful beyond my wildest dreams that it is ending better than it started. Anyway, since it is that time of year where many people start thinking about New Years resolutions, I start thinking about New Years goals. Yes, I realize they are the same thing however I tend to accomplish my goals and not the resolutions. Not sure why but I think it is all about the wording and people expect you to not follow through with resolutions but people do expect to follow through with goals.

As I think about what I want to accomplish during 2019 or at least start to accomplish, I am having a tough time figuring out what I want my goals to be. I want and need them to realistic. I know I want to accomplish goals in regards to both my physical and mental health. I also want to accomplish getting a job with a more consistent schedule, preferably in the social services field but at this moment in time I might be happy with going back to working at a grocery store even if that isn’t really what I want to do. One thing I do know what I want to do is put in an effort of doing meditation and/or mindfulness on the daily basis again. Anyway, goals are ever changing and can be tweaked from time to time.

I don’t think I have much more to say except that I will be thinking a great deal about my goals for 2019. I want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated. I hope that everyone has a great rest of your Friday. I also hope everyone has a great weekend. Peace Out, World!!!
