No Sleep In Seattle

Good Morning, World!!! I didn’t get any sleep last night. I wish I could have gotten some sleep. I suspected I wouldn’t be getting sleep due to my late yet long nap yesterday evening.

I read a good portion of the night. I read Star Wars; Heir to the Empire by Timothy Zahn. It is an easy read for me. I am really enjoying the book.

I also listened to a podcast on philosophy. Specifically, Philosophize This. The dude that does the podcast is from Seattle. I take notes on the podcast and look back at them.

  1. You know, I noticed you seem to do the same thing around bedtime as you do during the day, you read. I know how much you enjoy it. Maybe you should try doing an activity that’s different from your day activities while in bed and trying to sleep. It also helps to have a separate morning activity.

    My bedtime activity is a certain game on my phone. My phone can be programmed to limit blue light so it doesn’t keep me awake. This certain game I only play when I want to sleep and it helps me when I’m having bad sleep nights. Black out curtains have also helped.

    In the mornings, I check my emails on my phone. This tells my brain I’m ready to wake up. Our brains can be trained to associate certain activities with certain moments in our biological clocks. Maybe you just need different activities for different times.
