2nd Day of Emerald City Comic Con in the Books

Good Evening, World!!! The second day of Emerald City Comic Con (ECCC) is in the books. I had a great day and wish to share it with you along with some pictures I took. First off, I bought two books to get signed which I did. The first thing after buying more books was attend a friendship bracelet making activity in the pride room which I have picture of. I went to multiple panels and two autograph sessions after two of the panels I attended. One of the panels I went to was called “Not-so-Accurate Histories Filled with Fairies, Magic and More” which was about history and fantasy type stuff along with world building. It had authors of books on panel and went to the post book signing event. My other favorite panel was called “The Many Faces of Horror” as well as the book signing for it afterwords as the panel was authors. I love horror.

I will now post picture of the second day of comic con. I will put in a caption my site impaired readers as they have adaptive devices to help them read what is said.

Awesome Sleep for the 2nd Day of Emerald City Comic Con (ECCC)

Good Morning, World!!! I surprisingly got an awesome night of sleep last night. I didn’t get much sleep due to the fact that I was up reading till just after one o’clock in the morning, Seattle time. I may not have gotten the amount of sleep I wanted but at least the sleep was awesome.

I am looking forward to the second day of Emerald City Comic Con (ECCC). I had fun yesterday and I am pretty sure that I will have fun today. I have a lot more on my agenda to do today at ECCC than yesterday and looking forward to it. The two things I am looking forward to doing today are a horror book panel and a post horror book panel book signing.

I do not have anything else to discuss or share or to write about in this particular blog post except to say that I want to make sure I have everything that I might need for the day to take for the second day of Emerald City Comic Con. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. First Day of Emerald City Comic Con in the Books

Good Evening, World!!! The first day of Emerald City Comic Con (ECCC) is in the books. I had a great day and wish to share it with you along with some pictures I took. First off, I bought me some ECCC gear of a tote bag, t-shirt and a sweatshirt. I then bought two books at a friend’s suggestion and was able to get it signed by the author. I then went to some panel’s that I greatly enjoyed. My favorite panel was horror comic book writers and/or artist. I saw some amazing cosplay. I even found Waldo.

I will now post picture of the first day of comic con. I will put in a caption my site impaired readers as they have adaptive devices to help them read what is said.

Too Excited to Go Back to Sleep

Good Morning, World!!! I woke up at two fifty-nine this morning Seattle time and have not been able to go back to sleep. I am way too excited to go back to sleep. Today is the first day of Emerald City Comic Con here in Seattle and I am beyond ecstatic. I already have my first day of Emerald City Comic Con planned out. I have been looking forward to this since I bought my four-day VIP pass the first day they went on sale in August of 2025. I’m just so extremely excited for Emerald City Comic Con and that it is over my birthday weekend.

I do not have anything else to discuss or share or to write about in this particular blog post except to say that I want to make sure I have everything that I might need for the day to take to Emerald City Comic Con. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. Middle of the Night Ramblings

Good Morning, World!!! It is two forty-five in the morning on Wednesday, March 4th of 2026 and sadly I am not able to sleep. I’m pretty sure my PTSD and insomnia are conspiring against me to be sleepless in Seattle. Being sleepless in Seattle is nothing new to me and it majorly sucks. It sucks because I tend to be a cranky bucket the next day, but I am hoping it won’t affect me so much since I have so much to look forward to.

One of the things, I have to look forward to starts tomorrow (Thursday, March 5th) to Sunday (March 8th). That something is Emerald City Comic Con. It also happens that this weekend is my birthday weekend which makes Emerald City Comic Con that much more special for me. I have been looking forward to this since August of last year (2025). I can’t wait till tomorrow as it is the start of my birthday weekend.

Speaking of birthdays, I bought myself a birthday present. A birthday present that is going to be a weekend of fun here in Seattle and is in April of this year (2026) that involves cats. That birthday present is going to a cat convention known as Pop Cats. I have never been to a cat convention, and I love cats, so I thought it would be a great birthday present to myself especially since it is here in Seattle.

As I am informing you of the conventions, I am going be attending it reminds me of the communities I belong to and how important it is to continue to participate in those communities I am in. I’m part of the comic book community as I love comic books just like I am part of the cat community because I love cats as well as volunteer with cats. As someone who is in mental health recovery building community is huge. For me making sure that I belong to more than one community is key to my recovery. Hell, everyone belongs to multiple different communities.

I do not have anything else to discuss or share or to write about in this particular blog post except to say it is now time to cuddle with my cat, Billie. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog I would not be continuing to write my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Looking Forward to the Weekend

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday, World!!! I’m looking forward to another day at work. In fact, today is going be my Friday as I usually work Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays but I am taking Thursday off to attend a four-day event. The four-day event I will be attending is here in Seattle will be Emerald City Comic Con. The best part of it all is that Emerald City Comic Con falls over my birthday weekend and am so excited about it. It is something I have been looking forward to since I bought me a four-day VIP pass back in August.

In fact, my therapist and I have been discussing in therapy how it is important to have something to look forward to especially when is something that you enjoy. I’m pretty sure when I see her tomorrow (Wednesday) for my appointment with that we will be discussing Emerald House Comic Con and how to make sure I enjoy myself without getting too anxious and/or overwhelmed. I wouldn’t be too surprised if my therapist and I discussed planning on something else to look forward to once Emerald City Comic Con is over with as when you struggle with a mental health diagnosis, it is always nice to have something to look forward even when things are going well. For me having something to look forward to whether or not I am doing well is a major part of my recovery. I’m just thrilled that I am doing well.

I do not have anything else to discuss or share or to write about in this particular blog post except to say it is now time to cuddle with my cat, Billie before getting ready for work.

10 Days Too Long To Not Blog

Hello, World!!! It has been ten days since I last blogged. I say this like it is a big deal because it is a big deal as I am trying to create a habit of blogging on the regular basis. I want to blog on the the regular basis because I want to keep you my reader interested in continuing to read my blog. Yes, I know that sounds selfish of me but I know from following and reading other blogs that if people don’t blog on the regular basis I loose interest in the blog. I just don’t want you to loose interest in my blog due to me not blogging on the regular basis.

Last weekend I attended Emerald City Comic-Con here in Seattle. I went both Thursday (March 14th) and Saturday (March 16th). I wasn’t expecting to go at all but I was blessed with being able to go. Thursday, I attended by myself and had a grand ole time. Saturday, I attended with friends and had a blast. Both days I ended up going to a great deal of panels. I love attending the panels as I tend to learn new and interesting things. While I was there I got a few things like some Wonder Woman art work, multiple graphic novels and a handful of science fiction/fantasy books. Attending comic-con has me feeling like I belong. I feel like going to comic-con, I can be myself because it’s where people like me go. People like me tend to be geeks, nerds and loners. I did have an awkward moment when I saw my therapist at comic-con but we both knew we were attending. I didn’t go say hi to him as he appeared to be with others and even if he wasn’t with others I don’t think I would have said hi. He of course didn’t acknowledge me due to HIPPA laws and ethical reasons. We did “acknowledge” each other by a smile. A smile that didn’t mean anything but acknowledgement. Overall, I had a great time despite having a few PTSD symptoms.

I don’t have much more to say. Thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated. I hope everyone has a great rest of their Friday. Fridays are great. Again, thank you for reading. Peace Out, World!!!

First Time Attendee to Emerald City Comicon

I attended the Emerald City Comicon for the first time and had a blast. I know its now Wednesday but wanted to share my experience with you all I had the weekend we just had (March 2 – March 5).

It being my first ever time attending any form of such event, I didn’t know what to expect. Thursday, I ended up just taking it all in by wondering around. I did a lot of people watching but met up with a friend to attend a panel  focusing on the women side of comic books. Mainly the panel was on women superhero’s or the lack there of. Wonder Woman was brought up a great deal at this panel and rightfully so.

Speaking of Wonder Woman, I did some cosplay and dressed as Wonder Woman on Friday. I attended many cosplay events on Friday that I attended with friends. As fun as cosplay was, it was a bit overwhelming for me.

Despite Friday being overwhelming for me, I think I had the most fun on Saturday. I attended many panels. In fact all the panels I attended were publishers and authors of Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre. My favorite panel of the entire event happened on Saturday and it was Women in fantasy with authors Callie Bates, Kristen Britain and Robin Hobb with editor Anne Groell moderating.  I had a blast being able to hear them speak and talk with them one on one.

I did attend on Sunday but that was the day, I really got overwhelmed and only stayed a couple of hours. I did get a lot down in the two to three hours I was there. I ended up buying five Wonder Woman magnets  and a Wonder Woman bathrobe. I also was able to get nine book Sci-Fi/Fantasy books. Four of which I received for free and seven of the nine books I did get I was able to get signed by the authors.

I may had have had my struggles regarding my lived experience with a mental health condition at Emerald City Comicon but I am thrilled I went. Overall, attending ECCC ultimately helped with the symptoms of my mental health diagnosis. I am definitely  attending next year but I will be staying in a hotel in downtown as I think it will ultimately be easier for everything.  Have a wonderful rest of your week. Peace Out!!!
