Everyday Inspiration, Day 3; One-Word Inspiration

HOME

The one word I chose for inspiration is the world home. Home can mean many different things to me. Home to me has many different places. The home I am going to discuss is the home I live in. The home I live in is in the City of Seattle. My home has pictures of my family which includes current a past pets. I art work that my brother made me when he as in school as I am eleven years older than him. I also have artwork which include glass-work from friend. My home has posters of favorite musicians posted.

Anyway my home has things in it that my loved ones have given me such as art work, quilts and stuffed animals. In fact one stuffed animal I got when I was born from an uncle. It also has a baby blanket a great aunt made me when I was born.

For me a home isn’t just a place, it’s a place to put old memories it and make new one in as well. Home is also where the heart is. In my case home is where my cat is and I love I can come home to my cat.

Middle of the Night of No Sleep So Art Work & Music Type of Night

I’m not finished with coloring his Mandela but I worked on it a good hour.. I hope to update you with my progress with it. Coloring helps with my recovery as well as my mindfulness meditation

Sadly, I am not able to fall asleep again tonight so I decided to color. The above picture is what I colored just tonight as I listened to music. In fact I listened to my recovery play list. Coloring is a form of mindfulness meditation for me and the music helps me get into the groove. In fact there was a period of time my cat Billie Dean was trying to help me color which complicated things for a few minutes.

I don’t have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out World!!!

Everyday Inspiration; Day 10: Let the Scene Write Itself

Right now I am working from home. I am sitting in a comfy chair in front of my work computer. Technically, it’s a laptop but you get the idea. I am looking at my schedule for the day. Nothing but meetings all day. Well, not all day; I am seeing two client virtually today.

Not only do I see my work laptop, I see my cat, Billie Dean. Billie is on his cat tree looking out my living room window. I’m not sure if he is seeing a bird or two or even a squirrel but Billie is looking intently at something outside.

Another thing I see is the wall in front of me. It has pictures. Pictures of my beloved family. A family that may be dysfunctional but at least I know my family loves me. I know they love me even when we don’t get along. I love my family.

Everyday Inspiration; Day 4: A Story in a Single Image

Hello, World!!! Today’s assignment is to have a story in a single image. Sadly, WordPress gives the same four images which doesn’t help me find inspiration anymore since I have taken this course before. I am choosing to not share the image I am choosing to writer about is for several reasons. One; I am writing under pseudonym which happens to be a nickname I had as a kid. Two; one of the people in the picture I am looking at to writer about has a lifetime restraining order against someone who nearly killed them. Three; I don’t have everyone’s permission to post on my blog which I will respect.

The picture I am looking a picture of a group of friend with me as we are doing a ropes course as part of a team building exercise for band camp. Yes, I went to band camp. I remember this quite vividly as many of my peers didn’t think I had it in me to do the ropes course much less ending up being the leader of it so my friends could complete the course. Hell, I didn’t think I had it in me.

In fact despite never being the best flute player in the band, this ropes course at band camp gave me the confidence I needed to keep practicing my flute. From then on, I was never last chair again. I ended up third to last chair. Still not even close to being first chair but kept me practice to make sure that I didn’t go back to second to last chair or last chair. I tried many times to be fourth to last chair but in all honesty the person in fourth last chair had more talent that I did.

The picture of the ropes course with my friends not only gave me confidence in myself but it gave my peers some much more respect and I also ended up with some self respect because of this. So, the picture or image I told you about is something to write about which is why I got my inspiration from it.

4 Months & 2 Days With This Cutie

Good Evening, World!!! It has been four months and two days since I adopted Billie Dean. I love Billie so much and I know he loves me. Billie is my emotional support animal (ESA) and he does an awesome job at it. He is such a lap cat and cuddle bug. Billie being such a lap cat has helped me a great deal just to sit and breath while being in the present moment. It is like he wants me to enjoy the moment I am in and focus on my breath. Having Billie in my life has helped me a great deal especially in regards to my mental health recovery, just like my previous cat, Lil Gertie, did. As much as I miss Lil Gertie and grateful she was in my life, I am glad Billie came into my life.

Below are some picture of my precious cat, Billie Dean. Billie is an amazing cat. There are captions below the pictures for those who are sight impaired. I hope you enjoy.

One of Billie’s favorite spots to chill.

Billie looking over the arm of the chair to see what I am doing. He does this quite offten.

I do not have much more to say in this particular post. I just wanted to share pictures of my beloved cat, Billie. I hope you have enjoyed the pictures of my cat. I want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. I hope everyone has a great week ahead of them. I also hope everyone has a good evening ahead of them. Peace Out, World!!!
