It Wasn’t Fireworks

I’m not even going to hi or good morning as I was rudely awakened by what I thought was fireworks. Well it was not fireworks but gunshots. Of course it not only scared the shit out of me but out of my cat as well as my neighbors and their pets. Now there is a buttload of Seattle Police surrounding not just my building but other buildings on my street. There is also a buttload of fire department vehicles (Fire Engines, Ladder Trucks, Medic One Ambulances, Battalion Chiefs and even the Chief of the fire department).

All I know is it wasn’t fireworks and it was gunshots. Sadly, there were at least two people shot. As far as I know nobody thankfully was killed. On that note having two people shot is still scary. Another thing that is scary is that we can’t leave our building much less our apartments with a couple of expiation’s which are coming home from someplace of course needing to show a valid I.D/Drivers License/Passport or if the person has an emergency or has to go to work.

Needless to say many of us in my building and I’m sure other people in the neighboring apartment building are scare shitless. I know I am. My cat was scared at first but he appears to have calmed down. The poor dog two doors down from me is still freaking out as he is still barking.

I was sound asleep when the gunshots happened and I am tired as hell. I’m scared to go back to sleep. Most importantly I am worried about the two gunshot victims even though they lived in the building next door to my building. I know I shouldn’t be as scared as I am but I am. At least I know I am safe and alive.

And now there are more gunshots which is why I am purposely sitting on the floor below any windows. This is not going to be a fun night as I’m still waiting to give my statement to the police after the initial gunshots. I just want to go to sleep without being in fear of being shot.

Well, I should get going. I just want to try to calm myself down. I hope to update you all later.

Three O’clock in the Morning Tuesday Chaos

It is three o’clock in the morning Seattle time and it’s nothing but chaos. First a neighbor starts pulling on the fire alarms in the building which wakes everyone and their pet up. Almost every evacuate. Manly the ones with animals and pets. The Fire Department gets here quickly and turns off quickly.

Sadly, this happened six more times from the same neighbor and all the neighbors are now out of the building and abut to fight the neighbor pulling fire alarms, The cops showed up just in time time or someone would have gotten seriously hurt . The good thing is everyone with a pet or an animal were sticking together because the pet were keeping us calm.

Thank you for listening to me ramble on about building drama. Than you for reading. Peace Out, World!!!

So Far, A Weird A$$ Day

Good Afternoon, World!!! It has been a challenging day for me and it is still relatively early in the day. Hell, it is still considered early afternoon here in Seattle. I tried taking a nap when I got home from work but sadly the nap only lasted for two hours.

Since I was unable to sleep for very long during my nap, I decided to get up and spend time with my cat, Billie Dean. Billie is very much a lap cat who loves his belly being petted. Out of all the cats I have had throughout my life, Billie is the only one who doesn’t mind his belly being rubbed. In fact Billie loves his belly rubbed. He will turn over on his back so he can have his belly rubbed.

After spending some time with my cat Billie and the weather is not in a down pour of rain, I decided to go for a walk to Cowen and Ravenna Parks. Yes, I did say in my last post I would go to Cowen and Ravenna Park but it was looking like it was going to be a really soggy day here in Seattle. Anyway, while I walking around both parks I ran into my therapist as he was walking his two dogs. Before I went and said hi to my therapist I looked around to see if he was with anyone besides his dogs. I just didn’t want to put him in an awkward situation if he was with somebody and had to explain who I was even though he can’t acknowledge how he knows me. Anyway, I noticed he was only with his dogs so I went up and said hello. We talked for a few moments as I petted his dogs. He has some pretty chill and loving dogs. As we spoke we talked about his dogs and my cat. (No, I did not take my cat to the park.) We discussed how pets are quite helpful for people’s mental health. After about fifteen minute of talking about our pets and the weather we went our separate ways. It was just slightly awkward for me to see my therapist in the area I live in.

Now that I am home from my walk through Ravenna and Cowen Park, I will be spending more time with my beloved cat, Billie. I think Billie is happy that I spend time with him.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. I hope everyone has a great rest of your Sunday. Peace Out, World!!!

A Very Interesting Sleepover

Good Morning, World!!! It sure has been an interesting night in my apartment building. Last night started out very interesting when a neighbor who appeared to be in a mental health crisis started pulling the fire alarm pull stations setting off the building fire alarm on multiple occasions. As time went on a handful of my neighbors and I decided that we would just have a sleepover and my apartment was the chosen apartment. The sleepover included both humans and pets. Both dogs and cats. If fact all the pets are considered emotional support animals. Anyway, the neighbor that decided to pull the fire alarm pull stations did so for about two and a half hours before the police decided to put them on a seventy two hour hold.

After he was finally stopped my neighbors and their animals still stayed over night in my apartment. We had a night full of laughter. Yes, we did get some sleep and all the humans are now awake at six thirty in the morning in my corner of the world. One of my neighbors fixing breakfast. Apparently we are having biscuits and gravy for breakfast. So, I am looking forward to breakfast.

After everyone gets fed my neighbors will go back to their respective apartments. As nice as it was to have people stay the night, I am more than ready to have my own space back and I am sure Lil Gertie, my cat, feels the same way especially since she is not a big cat or dog fan. She did quite well dealing with the other animals last night. She tolerated the situation and I am thrilled she was able to do so.

As everyone leaves I will get ready and go to see my therapist. I can’t wait to see my therapist to explain to him the events of last night.

I don’t have much else to say as I was to spend time with my neighbors. Have a good Friday. Peace, Out, World!!!

Sleepless in Seattle, For Many People

Happy Friday, World!!! Well, not a good start to a Friday for myself and my neighbors as well as our pets which many of the pets are emotional support animals because one of the neighbors is having some major symptoms of their mental health challenge as they keep pulling the pull stations to set off the building fire alarm.

As mentioned in my last post my neighbors and I decided to have a sleep over that includes our pets. Out pets that happen to be emotional support animals. The animals have be quite helpful as well as being able to share a common experience with not being able to sleep due to the fire alarm being continuously set of by someone pulling the pull stations.

The police and the firefighters are just as annoyed as we are. They finally figured out who was pulling the fire alarm pull stations and is sending that neighbor to the hospital to put them on a seventy two hour hold as it is obvious that their mental health challenges are acting up severely.

As far as the sleepover, it is going off well. People and pets are all doing well. It is nice to have neighbors who are going through the same thing to help deal with the stress of the constant pulling of fire alarms. Hopefully it will stop now as the person who was pulling the pull stations are on their way to the hospital to get evaluated to be put on a seventy two hour hold.

I should get going and try to get some sleep as I desperately need it. I hope I am not blogging to much that you my readers are getting bored with what I am writing about. I hope everyone has a good Friday. Peace Out, World!!!

Midnight Randomness

Hello, World!!! I personally think I would be asleep right now if a neighbor who is dealing with the symptoms of their mental health challenges didn’t keep pulling the pull stations to set of the building fire alarm system. It is pissing a lot of people of yet the fire department can’t do much about it and the police are trying to put the neighbor on a seventy two hour hold.

As annoying as the fire alarm going off constantly, my neighbors are getting together and making an annoying situation into a good situation. The noise may be bothersome to us humans but its worse for our animals. So, one of my neighbors and I decided to get a handful of other neighbors to come to my apartment and have a sleepover. Humans and animals are all invited. Thankfully, the neighbors that are staying over are good friends. Most importantly the animals are getting along which is surprising because a couple of animals including my cat really don’t get along with other animals. Maybe it’s because the animals involved with the sleepover are all emotional support animals and are putting their issues aside to help us humans.

As far as my cat, Lil Gertie, she is staying close to me because the constant going off of the fire alarm is quite anxiety for me. I am proud of Lil Gertie for putting up with so many people in my apartment and most importantly tolerating the other animals staying overnight. She is extremely being tolerant of the sixth month old puppy who wants to play with her.

On a side note, I have an appointment with my therapist later today since it is officially Friday since it is now twelve midnight in my corner of the world. I sure will have a story to tell regarding the fire alarm constantly going off and having a sleepover with neighbors and their animals at my place. I’m sure he’ll get a kick out of how we decided to make a difficult situation into a positive situation. I am looking forward my session with my therapist later on today.

Thank you again, for reading my blog. It is very much appreciated. I am trying to mix things up when it comes to the topics I discuss with you. I am hoping that the more I mix things up sharing my story with you that it will keep you all interested in reading my blog. I hope everyone gets a good nights sleep or at least a better nights sleep than myself an neighbors are getting. I really need to get going now because the fire alarm is going off again and would still be posting about the issue but I need to evacuate since the fire alarm is going off once again. Have a good nights sleep. Peace out, World!!!
