It Has Been a Great Weekend

Good Evening, World!!! It is barely after six in the evening here in Seattle, Washington. As the title of this blog post states; it has been a great weekend. Actually it has been a pretty awesome weekend. First things first I had a great night sleep on Friday which led me to sleep in on Saturday morning to nine o’clock in the AM. Waking up that late is not very common for me and am beyond grateful for it especially since Billie my cat allowed me to sleep that late. I also had a great night sleep last night, Saturday. I did need to get up at eight in morning this morning (Sunday) so I could attend my regular morning shift volunteering at PAWS Cat City.

Okay, now let’s get back to how awesome yesterday (Saturday) was. I started off sleeping in longer than I normally do especially with a cat that likes to be waking me up an hour or two earlier than nine in morning. Spent the day mostly being able to read a book with my cat, Billie on my lap. Later yesterday (Saturday) afternoon/evening, I spent time volunteering at PAWS Cat City. Saturday afternoon/evening is not my typical shift but every time I do a shift my mood improves even if I am already in a great mood. When I got home from volunteering yesterday (Saturday) afternoon/evening, I of course payed attention my awesome cat, Billie. I then went online and went to Amy Grant’s website to see if she was going to do any Christmas concerts here in the Seattle area. Sadly, she is not however she is going to be on tour next year and will be holding a concert in Bremerton, Washington which is a ferry ride away from Seattle. When I saw that she (Amy Grant) will be in concert in Bremerton on March 14, 2023, I bought a ticket and booked a hotel room. I’m going to be staying in a hotel as I don’t want to worry about missing last ferry of the night back to Seattle. Needless to say I am beyond ecstatic that I will be seeing Amy Grant in concert. On that note, it took me about a half an hour to start calming down with all the excitement of knowing I will be going to an Amy Grant concert so I could continue reading the book I was reading earlier in the day.

Now on to today. I woke up earlier than I wanted due to my cat, Billie, wanting wet food as well as wanting to play. Despite waking up earlier than I desired, I had a really good night sleep. After feeding and playing with Billie, I ate breakfast and got ready for my volunteer shift at PAWS Cat City. I, of course went to my volunteer shift this morning and immensely enjoyed my shift as always. I love volunteering and giving back to my community. I especially love volunteering at PAWS Cat City. After, volunteering I got take out of Orange Chicken from a local Asian restaurant and ate part of it here at home. I will eat the rest after I am done writing and posting this particular blog post. After eating lunch I read some more of the book I was reading yesterday. In fact reading is what I have been doing most of the day and Billie was on my lap a good portion of that time. Now, I am writing this post. In fact I am almost done writing this particular post as I am getting hungry for dinner.

I really do not have much else to say for this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciative from my perspective that you, the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Hump Day (Wednesday) Ramblings (Part One)

Good Morning, World!!! Well what is left of morning. Only 45-minutes left of morning here in Seattle.Well, I am not in Seattle currently but am in a suburb of Seattle called Lynnwood. I am in Lynnwood visiting my grandpa and doing my laundry. Also, I am helping my grandpa with some household chores he can’t get done due to age. He would have my uncles help since they live with him but one works during the day and the other sleeps during the day due to working at night. Anyway, I am enjoying my time with my grandpa even though he is taking a nap at the moment.

When my grandpa picked me up at (my) home in Seattle, took me to get my meds. One of which is for anxiety, the other for PTSD and the last one for sleep. Insurance was being jerks about filling all three meds stating that I need “prior authorization” when I never needed it before on these three meds. Thankfully, it got straightened out and that being inform that the “prior authorization” was a mistake for the meds I picked up.

After picking up my medicine, my grandpa took me out to breakfast. We went to a place called the Blue Star Cafe in the Wallingford neighborhood in Seattle. It is right next to Archie McPhee’s. Archie McPhee’s is famous in Seattle. Well, anyway, enough about Archie’s, my grandpa’ loved the Blue Star Cafe. It take a lot for my grandpa to be “impressed” with a restaurant. He wants to take the family there which means him (my grandpa), my dad, my two uncles and myself.

After I am done writing this particular blog post I am going to put the load of laundry that is in the washer machine into the dryer and then put my last load in the washing machine. On that note, I will start reading a book called Enchantment by Orson Scott Card. It is going to be weird reading without my cat, Billie not being around as I am at my grandpa’s and he is at home. Oh how I miss my cat but I know I will be back home later today. I love my cat as well as love reading.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is really appreciative from my end of things that you read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Happy Hump Day (Wednesday)!!! Peace Out, World!!!

10 Months Down & 2 Months to Go

Good Evening, World. It is November 1st, which means the first ten months of the year are gone and we have two months left of the year. This year has gone by super fast. Hell, the years appear to go faster the older I get and I am only in my early forties. Don’t get me wrong I love being my current age, it is just life seems to go faster the older I get especially after the news I received in early summer about my mom.

In fact, I am not sure if I told you or not and I don’t feel like looking over my previous post but my mom has stage three lung cancer. She seems to be doing well. I have been taking to her multiple times a week since I found out and hopefully, I will see her sometime before Thanksgiving. I love my mom dearly and am beyond grateful that she is my mom.

So, hearing about my mom is one of the downs of this year and I have had quite of few of them this year but I have had many ups. I will get to my ups for this year in later. One of the downs I have had was that I got laid off from a job I loved due to the agency closing. I miss my job, colleagues and clients. I did get another job but sadly that didn’t work out and now I have a very part time job and am hoping I can get a full time job sometime soon. So please hope for the best in regards to the job.

As far as my cat Billie, he is doing just fine and dandy. He is loving the fact that I am home a lot more. I am beyond grateful for him and he has been one of the many ups, I have had this year. My cat, Billie means the world to me.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. If it was not for you the reader, I would not be writing my blog. So, again thank from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!
