Daily Prompt; What is the Greatest Gift Someone Could Give You

Bloganuary writing prompt
What is the greatest gift someone could give you?

For me the greatest gift someone can give me is their time, love and friendship. Giving your time to listen to me or to spend with me is the greatest gift a friend or loved one can give me. It shows me that they care about me and love me. I know it seems hokey but it is true.

Enjoy the Benefits of Being Pregnant

Good Morning, World!!! It is hard to believe that despite severe PTSD symptoms that I have been surprisingly sleeping better and longer. Instead of my usual four hours of sleep, I have been getting about six to eight hours of sleep. I am so freaking happy that I am sleeping better and longer hours. The OBGYN informed me that the more restful and longer sleep is due to being in my first trimester of pregnancy.

Another thing that can happen during pregnancy is an increased sex drive which is currently happening to me. As someone who has an extensive trauma history and being traumatized again in the last six months this can be a scary thing. Despite it being somewhat scary my partner, Junior is being so sweet with the increased sex drive while understanding that PTSD can and will get in the way.

Of course I will discuss the PTSD stuff as well as the increased sex drive with my therapist. In fact I have an appointment with her today and I will officially let her know about being pregnant. I am sure my therapist and I will be discussing my mental health while being pregnant and will be an on going discussion for therapy.

A Bundle Of Nerves With A Bun In The Oven

Good Evening, World!!! As of right now I am a mixture of emotions. I had my annual exam this morning and thankfully my partner was able to come with me as I struggle with the annual exam due to trauma. Junior, my partner, also came for another reason which was to medically confirm if I was pregnant as the two take home tests I took last week said I was. My doctor did medically confirm that I am pregnant and that I am about eight weeks pregnant. My doctor also made me an appointment with the OBGYN in the same clinic as my doctor is in, for next Tuesday. Of course Junior will be coming with me. Needless to say we are both scared shitless and ecstatic.

I do not have much more to write about in this particular blog post with the exception that I will keep you all updated about the pregnancy. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. The Purple Flute

Good Evening, World!!! I am feeling really loved and appreciated as Junior did something very special for me. He bought me a purple flute and it was delivered to me today. I didn’t know it was coming until this morning when Junior informed me to be expecting a package. He would not tell me what it was till I opened it. I was and still am shocked as hell when I opened up the package. I am so thrilled that I have a brand new flute and that it is purple. Now, if I can just get the old flute fixed I will be even happier as then I would have two flutes to play.

My brand new purple flute.

Anxiety Over Tomorrow’s Doctor’s Appointment

Good Afternoon, World!!! I am nervous as hell for tomorrow morning as I have my yearly annual wellness exam with my doctor tomorrow. I am scared due to trauma related issues that my doctor is quite aware of. I am also scared and full of anxiety due to the fact that my doctor will confirm something medically which is why I am having my partner Junior come with me. It is something he would like medically confirmed as well.

Anyway, I am sadly having intrusive thought ping ponging in my head at the moment and it is not a good thing which is partly why I am currently writing this blog post. Blogging tends to help with the ping ponging of my thoughts as well as help with anxiety I deal with. I am just happy that I have various skills in my tool box to help with the anxiety.

Hump Day Update

Good Evening, World!!! It is Wednesday which means it is time for a mid week update or what I like to call it; Hump Day Update. The only thing I really have to update you on is something I want to confirm with my doctor first and I see her for my annual wellness check this Friday. Overall, things are going relatively well. Things with Junior are going quite well and my mom is quite happy that we are back together. Of course my dad and grandpa “approve” of Junior because he has always treated me well.

A Pleasant Surprise

Good Morning, World!!! It is just barely after eight o’clock in the morning here in Seattle. Thankfully, the weather is somewhat becoming more normal for Seattle. It is now currently raining but sadly it is still cold outside and in the thirties (Fahrenheit) but at least it is not cold enough to snow at this point in time.

As I type this particular blog post my cat Billie is on my lap as my partner, Junior is fixing me breakfast when he does not have to. He decided to come by my place after his shift as a Seattle fire fighter to spend time with me and to make sure I eat. When Junior showed up to make me breakfast I told him he just wanted an excuse to see my cat, Billie. Anyway, Junior is making me French toast with scrambled eggs. Junior knows how much I love French toast and scrambled eggs and how I have been craving them almost daily. I am always happy to spend time with him and wish he didn’t spoil me so much.

Nightmares Sucks Sh!t; The Love of a Boyfriend & A Cat, Priceless

Good Morning, World!!! It is just after three o’clock in the morning, Seattle time. I am unable to sleep due to severe PTSD symptoms. Nightmares accompanied with body memories is never a good thing and I am beyond grateful to have Junior staying with me at the moment. Part of the reason Junior spent the night is because we spent last evening watching movies and eating junk food. I am beyond grateful for the movie date at home after a challenging session with my therapist yesterday. The distraction was much needed as well as it was enjoyed by both myself and Junior as well as my cat, Billie. Billie loves the attention, Junior gives him. I really wish the PTSD symptoms were not so severe as they suck shit. Anyway, I am happy that Junior is here to help me through this tough PTSD moment.

The Love Of A Partner

Good Afternoon, World!!! Right at this moment in time I am feeling even more loved by my partner, Junior than I normally do. I informed him after my last blog post on what I was craving from Red Robin. He ordered what I was craving as well as something for himself and brought it over to my place so we could eat lunch together. Oh how I love my partner and the fact that he thinks of the simple things to show me of his love. He just left as I have a virtual appointment with my therapist in less than an hour.
