Let’s Get Fucking Real

Good Morning, World!!! Over all it has been a good morning. As good as this morning has been I am angry. This anger has lead me to write this post. I am fucking going to get real here.

I don’t fucking understand why that only time America discusses mental health and suicide is when a mass shooting happens or when a celebrity dies by suicide? Why in the fucking hell does the media wait to something tragic happens. The month of May is mental health awareness month and not one news station in my area discussed mental health unless there was a school shooting involved.

We as not just a country but the world need to discuss more about mental health and suicide. We need to lessen the stigma that goes with it yet nothing is being done. I share bits and pieces of me here on my blog. I have emailed my politicians and local news stations yet nobody appears to give a rats ass till something tragic happens.

So, here I am sitting at my laptop attempting to lessen the stigma of getting help with a mental health challenge and/or suicidal thoughts or actions. I want people around the world that you are not alone in this battle. It is not an easy feat to battle depression or anxiety or any other mental health condition or suicidal thoughts however if you seek out help from people it can and will get better. I’m not going to lie and say its always going to be peachy keen when you get help and get better but you will have the skills to help you when things to get bad again.

The National Suicide Hotline number here in America is 1-800-273-8255. I don’t know Suicide hotline number for other countries or I would be giving those out as well. Please if you are struggling with your mental health and/or suicide please reach out to someone.

Thank you for reading. Peace Out, World!!!

Happy Friday

Good Evening, World!!! I’m watching the Opening Ceremonies for the Winter Olympics. I love the fact that the Olympics bring the world together. Its the one sporting event the world can enjoy together.

I saw Gilbert today for therapy. We discussed the progress I am having. He feels that with me seeing him two to three times a week has been helpful and it has helped. I just wish my official therapy services weren’t pulled from my care. Gilbert is attempting to his best for me to gain my trust with him and everyone else on my treatment team and it appears to be helping from my end of things.

I want to get going to continue watching the Olympics. Have a wonderful weekend. Happy Friday and Peace Out, World!!!

Depression & Sports

Good Evening, World!!! I am so ready for spring. Mainly because of baseball season. I am a huge baseball fan.  I love baseball.

As much as I love baseball at least I have some other sporting events that will be helping me through. I’ll be watching the Winter Olympics along with the rest of the world. The Olympics bring the world together even for a few short weeks. I wish the world could get together everyday of the year like it does doing the Olympics.

Sports helps me with my depression. It helps me get out of my own head even for a few hours. Sort of like how the Olympics bring the world together even for a few short weeks ever four years.

Thank you for reading. I hope everyone has a good evening. Peace Out, World!!!

Remembering 9/11, 16 Years Later

Sixteen years ago today, the United States experienced a sad reminder of how cruel this world is. As cruel as this world is the people of this country, quickly realized how we can come together. A togetherness many Americans have seemed to have forgotten especially in the current political climate.

A political climate that is dividing this wonderful country. As politics divide this country one can only hope that we are one nation. A nation that can come together especially in times of need.

A time of need that people a remembering today. As we remember what happened 16 years ago, I hope we can come together as a nation.

As I end this blog post, I ask that you take a moment of silence in remembrance of all the people who lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks. It just didn’t effect our nation, it effected the world. I hope everyone has a good day. Peace Out!!!
