Middle of the Night Ramblings

Good Morning, World!!! It is two forty-five in the morning on Wednesday, March 4th of 2026 and sadly I am not able to sleep. I’m pretty sure my PTSD and insomnia are conspiring against me to be sleepless in Seattle. Being sleepless in Seattle is nothing new to me and it majorly sucks. It sucks because I tend to be a cranky bucket the next day, but I am hoping it won’t affect me so much since I have so much to look forward to.

One of the things, I have to look forward to starts tomorrow (Thursday, March 5th) to Sunday (March 8th). That something is Emerald City Comic Con. It also happens that this weekend is my birthday weekend which makes Emerald City Comic Con that much more special for me. I have been looking forward to this since August of last year (2025). I can’t wait till tomorrow as it is the start of my birthday weekend.

Speaking of birthdays, I bought myself a birthday present. A birthday present that is going to be a weekend of fun here in Seattle and is in April of this year (2026) that involves cats. That birthday present is going to a cat convention known as Pop Cats. I have never been to a cat convention, and I love cats, so I thought it would be a great birthday present to myself especially since it is here in Seattle.

As I am informing you of the conventions, I am going be attending it reminds me of the communities I belong to and how important it is to continue to participate in those communities I am in. I’m part of the comic book community as I love comic books just like I am part of the cat community because I love cats as well as volunteer with cats. As someone who is in mental health recovery building community is huge. For me making sure that I belong to more than one community is key to my recovery. Hell, everyone belongs to multiple different communities.

I do not have anything else to discuss or share or to write about in this particular blog post except to say it is now time to cuddle with my cat, Billie. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog I would not be continuing to write my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Sleepless In Seattle Type Of Night

Good Morning, World!!! I am sadly unable to sleep due to the combination of insomnia and PTSD. Having both insomnia and PTSD sucks shit especially when they both rear their ugly heads at the same time. Since I have been unable to sleep due to insomnia and PTSD, I have been listening to music as my cat, Billie lays on my lap as I do some artwork. Specifically, I am doing diamond art/painting. I am still doing the one of a tuxedo cat as I had briefly stopped doing it for various reasons including starting my new job as a peer specialist. I really do enjoy doing diamond art/painting especially when my cat, Billie lays on my lap as I them.

I Am Awake Way Too Early

Good Morning, World!!! I am awake way too early. Since I am awake way too early, I decided to blog although I wish I was still asleep. It is hard to believe that tomorrow at this time, I will another year older. Tomorrow is my birthday, and it is my first birthday that I am celebrating since both of my parents died. I am extremely sad over this. I really wish they were both still alive to celebrate my birthday with me and sadly that is not the case.

Speaking of my parents being dead, I saw my therapist yesterday and we discussed the increase of my PTSD symptoms. We discussed how shaken I was and am on how much my PTSD symptoms have increased. My therapist informed me that it is common for people who experienced trauma in their childhood that people will experience an increase of PTSD symptoms after one and/or both of their parents’ deaths. I didn’t know this, but I was not shocked by it. To make matters worse, I was looking over some paperwork I need to fill out regarding my dad, and I remembered some stuff that happened to me by my now ex stepbrother. As much as I don’t want to remember the shit, I have been through I am grateful that I have a therapist to help me through it.

Wednesday Morning Ramblings

Good Morning, World!!! It is Wednesday morning here in Seattle and I am tired as hell. I did not sleep very well last night. It was partly due to the fact that I have been ruminating about the job I interviewed for Tuesday of last week. I am ruminating about it because I am wondering if I got the job or not especially since they asked for references. I was informed that I would hear back from them by the end of this week at the latest. I am starting to doubt that I am getting the job, and I really would like this job.

On that note, I am seeing my therapist later on this morning. I have been bottling up my anger and not doing what helps. Thankfully, I have not emotionally exploded on anyone but that is a concern of mine. I figure if I can discuss my anger with my therapist, it could be helpful. I am not angry with my therapist, but I am grateful that she can hold space for me especially when I am dealing with my anger. I am grateful to have a therapist that allows me to feel all the feels and lets me show them.

Tuesday Morning Waking Up Ramblings

Good Morning, World!!! This my first post of the day and it is not the middle of the night. That is because I got a good night’s sleep last night. I am so very happy that I got a good night of sleep last night as I really needed it. A good night of sleep is good for person’s health, both their mental health and physical health.

I do not have anything major planned for today. As of right now the only plans I have is to do math and some artwork. Yes, I did say math. I feel like I need to increase my math skills. I am also planning on doing some artwork. The type of artwork I am planning on doing is color. I am hoping to finish a coloring page of a mandala today. There is something meditative about coloring especially coloring a mandala. I, of course, am planning on having my cat, Billie to be on my lap or next to me I do math and do some coloring. I am so very grateful for my cat, Billie who is such a lap kitty and cuddle bug.

Another Morning of Waking Too Up Early

Good Morning, World!!! It is three thirty-three in the morning here in Seattle. Thankfully, I was able to sleep the last three and half hours and am thrilled about that. Yes, I wish I could have gotten more sleep, but I am grateful for what sleep I did get. Now onto figuring out what I am going to do to pass the time.

I am most likely going to do a combination of math, continuing education for being a peer and recovery related workbooks. Yes, you read right, I plan on doing math. Yes, I know that is weird, but it is a subject that I suck at. As far as continuing education courses for my peer certification, I am learning some new things and being reminded of other things. The workbooks I am working is to help me with my recovery and I am very appreciative of them. As I do all this my cat, Billie will likely be in my lap sleeping. I love my cat, Billie so very much and I am so very grateful that he is a lap kitty.

Middle of the Night Ramblings

Good Morning, World!!! It is 12:08 in the morning here in Seattle. I have not been to sleep yet. Part of it is due to insomnia while the other part is due to anxiety of having a concussion and afraid to go to sleep. Since I am wide awake due to anxiety of falling asleep with a hint of insomnia, I have been keeping myself busy. I have been busy doing math. Yes, I said math. I have also been busy doing artwork. The form of artwork that I have been doing is color. While I have colored and done math, my cat, Billie has been cuddling in my lap. I love the fact that I have cat who is a total cuddle bug and lap kitty.

Up Way Too Early, Again

Good Morning, World!!! It is three fifty-one in the morning here in Seattle and I have been awake since around three o’clock in the morning. I wish I did not wake up this early, but I did. I ended up starting my period during the night when I was sleeping which sucks. To make matters worse my cramps are worse than normal. I am sure you the reader don’t want to hear about my period, so I am going to change the subject.

As much as I wish I could fast asleep this early in the morning on a Sunday, I am happy that my cat, Billie is so cuddly. As I cuddle with my cat, Billie, I have been reading. I have been reading a book that is in the dark fantasy and queer genres. In fact, I am reading a really good book series known as Fire & Brimstone by Nikole Knight. I am on the third book of this series, and I am grateful that I found this series as it is really good. It is a six-book series.

Up Too Early & Plan for the Day

Good Morning, World!!! It is four fourteen in the morning here in Seattle and I am up way too early. On that note I also ended up going to bed really early for me last night which explains why I am up way too early. I got a really good night of sleep for a change and that is a good thing for especially after my insomnia was acting up.

Two of my friends are planning on taking me out to breakfast later this morning. We are going to one of my favorite places to eat called Blue Star Cafe & Pub. It is in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle. In fact, it is near Archie McPhee’s which is a fun novelty shop which my friends and I might end up going to after breakfast. I am so very grateful that I have friends who care about me and like to treat me to meals especially my favorite meal of the day, breakfast.

Nothing Major, I Got A Nap

Good Afternoon, World!!! I finally got some sleep. It wasn’t a much but at least it was a restful two-hour nap that I am so very grateful for. It was also a much-needed nap that I needed think I would be able to get due to the fact I have trouble sleeping when it is so sunny outside.

I am not sure what I am going to do next. I know I want to do some form of art but not sure what type of art I would like to do. I am not sure if I want to color or if I want to do diamond art/painting. I really enjoy both types of art.

In all honesty, I am most likely going to go to park and read. The weather here in Seattle is absolutely beautiful and I might as well as take advantage of it. One of my favorite things to do is go to a local park and read. I get some sun, and I get to read; two of my favorite things.
