A Relaxing Saturday

Good Evening, World!!! It has been a nice and relaxing Saturday for me. A Saturday that was surprisingly relaxing and I hope that it can happen again soon. I think one of the reasons why it was so relaxing is because I had therapy yesterday and needed to recharge my batteries today.

One of the things that I did today was go to the farmers market in my neighborhood. It is the same farmers market I go to every Saturday and enjoy going. As per usual I bought myself a yummy breakfast sandwich. I ran into an elderly couple who remembered me from a couple of weeks ago. We talked for a while and had a good conversation.

When I arrived back home from the farmers market I decided to attend an online twelve step meeting. A meeting which I was thrilled to attend. I enjoy attending this particular twelve step program as it focuses on what I can do and how I can help myself versus focusing on the person with the addiction.

Another thing I did was color. I am coloring a gigantic poster I bought from Stuff2Color.com. In fact Stuff2Color.com is located in the Pacific Northwest which is partly why I buy coloring stuff from them. Even though they are located in Oregon I consider them local. I attempt to buy local especially when it comes to being creative as well as food.

I do not have much more to write about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Caturday with Billie

It is time of week where I share a picture or two of cats. This week is one picture of my beloved cat, Billie.

The U-District Farmer’s Market

Good Afternoon, World!!! It is Saturday afternoon here in Seattle. I went to the U-District Farmers Market like I do every Saturday. I got my usual breakfast sandwich that was yummy like always. This time around I bought myself a bouquet of autumn colored flowers to help cheer myself up. I enjoy buying myself a bouquet of flowers every once in a while.

While at the U-District Farmers Market, I took some pictures. Pictures that are included in this blog post. I have captioned the picture for those readers who are sight impaired.

A street sign saying Farmers Market on a barrier.
My breakfast of a breakfast sandwich.
A sign saying “See you next week.”
Bouquet of flowers I bought myself.

I don’t have anything else to write about nor any other pictures of the Farmers Market to show you. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World

Caturday with Billie

As I mentioned last week I will be starting Caturday with Billie today and will be posting pictures of my cat Billie. Sometimes I will post pictures of other cats but I will let you know who that cat is and how I know the cat but there will always be at least one picture of Billie in the post.

A stoic Billie

Happy Friday the 13th, World!!! It is only nine in the morning here in Seattle and I am already feeling accomplished with my day. Accomplished because I have already done so much already today and it is not even close to twelve noon yet.

I am feeling accomplished because I started out the day doing a mindfulness meditation via the Calm App. Doing a daily mindfulness meditation practice is quite helpful for me. In fact I start everyday with one and I end everyday with one. Sometimes I even do more to help get my head in a better space.

After my mindfulness meditation practice, I read the newspaper. The newspaper I read is the Seattle Times which is a local newspaper to Seattle. Sadly, there isn’t much good news to report and I wish there was some good news to report.

When I was done reading the news paper, I attended two online twelve step meetings. Yes, you read right, two twelve step meetings. Twelve step meetings that I find helpful for me and my own recovery.

Speaking of the twelve steps I am doing some step work. I am working on step one. The twelve step program I am has a twelve step workbook you can work with alongside your sponsor. The twelve step program suggests that the sponsors have done all the steps themselves at least once before becoming a sponsor. In fact that is one requirement I have as sponsee is that my sponsor had done the twelve steps at least once and has been in recovery at least a year. In fact my sponsor informed me that she would like me to take the steps at my own pace which I like but I have to work on it most days of the week.

Now lets talk about what today is. As you the reader already knows; today is Friday the 13th. Some people think that today is bad luck I am not sure why people think Friday the 13th as there are so many theories that it is just way too hard to figure out the “most popular” theory.

I do not have much more to talk about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World

My Thoughts About Blogging More Regularly

Good Evening, World!!! If you have been reading my blog for a while now, you know every once in awhile, I attempt to come up with ways to blog more regularly. Sadly, a good portion of the time I do not follow through with the ideas which I have multiple excuses for and will not use them.

Let’s start with what I have done in the past and I know that I have followed through on it before but stopped which are my Weekly Plans on Sunday mornings and my Weekly Check-Ins on Saturday evenings. The Weekly Plans are just bullet points of what I plan to do for the week and I post it Sunday mornings. Weekly Check-Ins are checking in about how my week went and I post it on Saturday evenings. I will start the Weekly Plans tomorrow morning and the Weekly Check-Ins next Saturday.

An idea I came up with today is taking pictures of my cat, Billie, and posting them on Saturdays and calling Caturday’s with Billie. I am hoping to start this next Saturday in the morning. I honestly hope I remember to do this next week.

Another idea I have is Funday Sundays. I am not sure what this will look like or when I will start it but it will be something fun and posted on Sundays.

On Wednesdays I hope to do Weekly Updates to update you on how my week is going so far. I am hoping to start it this Wednesday.

Another idea is to do book reviews on books I am reading or have recently read. Yes, I will put spoiler alerts on this as I don’t want to spoil a book for someone. This will start when I am done with one of the books I am reading.

That all I have for this post about blogging. Thank you for reading. Peace Out, World!!!

So Far A Good Saturday

Good Morning (again), World!!! I started the day off pretty well by doing a mindfulness meditation practice. I do at least two mindfulness meditation practices a day. One in the morning and one before bed. I find that starting and ending my day with a mindfulness meditation helps with my mental health challenges and my recovery.

I went to the University District’s Farmers Market to have a breakfast sandwich and to help support local farmers. While there I also bought me a sunflower as they are my favorite flower.

A breakfast sandwich I get at the Farmers Market.

The above picture is the breakfast sandwich I devoured. I devoured it because it was good and yummy!!! I got it at a vendor that only sells breakfast sandwiches at the University Districts Farmer’s Market. The U-District Farmer’s Market happens every Saturday, year-round from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

When I arrived home I decided to attend an online twelve step meeting that focuses on adult children that grew up with dysfunctional families and alcoholic parents. I really enjoy going to the twelve step meetings.

Now it is time to cuddle with my kitty cat, Billie. I love my cat so much. I’m thinking I might start a weekly post called Caturday Pictures of Billie for a Saturday post.

I don’t have much else to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

There’s No Place Like Home

Good Evening, World!!! Happy Caturday to all you cat lovers out there or to those who are not a fan of cats then Happy Saturday to you. If you read my last two posts you know I didn’t sleep very well last night. On that note, I still went and visited my grandpa.

While visiting my grandpa, I did my laundry and helped my grandpa with some chores even though he wanted to do them tomorrow (Sunday) but was appreciative that I helped out. My grandpa also took me out to breakfast which I greatly appreciated. In fact I am grateful when people treat me to a meal, whether it is homemade or at a restaurant. I love my grandpa so very much and am thrilled that I still have a grandparent to be alive especially since I am in my mid-40’s. I am grateful to have spent time with my grandpa but I am happy to be home.

In fact I have been home for several hours now and there is no place like home. To be honest I’ve been sleeping for the last several hours which means the short nap I was planning on taking ended up more like a night of sleep despite it being in the middle of the day, Seattle time. I must have needed the sleep. I just really hope I am able to sleep tonight especially since I work tomorrow (Sunday).

I normally work from home on Sundays but I am going to the office so I clean my desk as it is messy as hell. Plus I forgot to bring my notebook home with me so I can do my notes at home. But at least I know doing notes at work is easy to do in the office on Sundays versus on weekdays. But I would rather work from home on Sundays.

There is no place like home as home is where my cat Billie is. I would rather be home with my cat, Billie. I love my cat so much. I am so grateful for the unconditional love my cat, Billie gives me. So, for me there is no place like home because of my cat.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. I greatly appreciate that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World and Happy Caturday!!!

Too Early to Be Awaken on A Saturday Morning

Good (very early) Morning, World!!! It is very early in the morning here in Seattle. In fact it is 3:06am in the morning Seattle time and I am tired as hell. I think part of the reason I am awake this early is due to a combination of the symptoms of the Depression, Anxiety and PTSD, I struggle with. Thank goodness, I have the support of my cat, Billie to depend on this earlier in the morning. I know I can call people this early in the morning however and thankfully it is not to that point that I will have to rely on my human friends as it is a mild case at the time. Although, Billie my cat is snoring away on my lap as I write this, I am listening to some music. By the sound of it as well as looking out the window, it is currently raining in Seattle which fits my mood of mild depression.

On the plus part I am looking forward to my Amazon deliveries later today which mainly consist of craft supplies of Diamond Art and Latch Hook stuff. Looking forward to the creativity to come once my apartment is clean. I might order more but I want to make sure I am fully awake and have one more bill to pay off.

That’s all I have to say about this particular post. I do want to thank you for reading my very early morning post. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my post as if it was not for you the reader, reading my post, I would not be continuing to write my blog. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Fascinating Reading & Time to Go to Bed

Good Morning, World!!! It is now officially Friday morning and it is just after two in the morning Seattle time. Since I am not sure if I informed you all, my schedule changed. I, now work Sunday through Thursday which is why I have had the luxury of staying up this late reading. Reading a book that is fascinating. Fascinating because it is on a subject that I think could help with my recovery as well am maybe helping others if I feel comfortable enough to do it if others would be willing and wanting me to help them is this particular way.

The subject that I am reading about is to help better understand how to do it and incorporate it into my life and hoping other people’s lives are learning to read tarot cards. I feel like what I have been learning thus far can help me in my own daily life to help what direction I would need to go for day to day life but my life being recovery with mental health challenges. I know it may not be a traditional way of going about one’s recovery but recovery is nonlinear. I haven’t slept at all so far tonight just because I have been fascinated by the book I have for beginners of those who want to learn about reading tarot cards. Since I’ve been mainly reading all night, I am realizing I am getting tired and ready to go to bed.

I may be ready for bed and plan to go to bed after I am done writing this particular blog post, I am beyond grateful to have my cat Billie on my lap the majority of the time as I read. His body heat helped keep me warmer even though my heat is on due that the weather in Seattle is absolutely freezing outside. According to a weather app on my phone it is currently twenty three degrees Fahrenheit (-5 Celsius) in my neighborhood of Seattle. With it being so cold I am beyond grateful for my cat, Billie’s body heat to help keep me warm when I turn off the heat as my cat, Billie sleeps under the blankets with me when I go to bed and sleep.

Well, I guess I am not going to end this particular blog post so I can go to bed and sleep since I am tired and full of new fascinating knowledge. Before ending this particular blog post, I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader continue to read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be continuing to write my blog. Again thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!
