A Day to Cuddle With my Cat & Do Self Care

Good Morning, world from Seattle. It is a beautiful day in the Seattle. In fact I did some walking as I did my mindfulness meditation practice. I also did another mindfulness meditation as I cuddle with my cat, Billie Dean.

Todays a day of self care. I will be reading a book or I should start reading a book. I am looking forward to reding the book as it appears to be a good book from what the back side says. The books name is Freedomland by Richard Prize.

Another thing I will do it some crafting. Mainly I will do some cross stich. It is a mindfulness meditation for me me. The only problem is that Billie like to play with the string. Even though he likes to play with the string it is still relaxation.

Of course I will be cuddling my cat, Billie. Billie love to cuddle and love to sit on my lap as well as lay by my side when I am in bed or taking a nap.

No Television = Reading and/or Art

Good Evening, World!!! I just woke up from a nap. In fact it was a was restful sleep which is rare for me. I would have slept longer if my cat didn’t howl and want to play. I love my cat, Billie Dean so much. Billie helps me with my mental health challenges.

Since I was woken up by Billie, my cat I decided to play with him. He sure loves his wand toy. In fact the vet says Billie needs more exercise. She says play is the best way to get exercise. Plus walking him on his harness and leash inside my apartment building.

Now that I am up for a nap and playing with my cat Billie, I’m going to either read or do some form of art If I choose to read I willl be reading . “The Bard Tale; Castle of Deception or art. If i do zrt I most likely will do some coloring.

Sadly, I miss read the time and day of the LGBTQ+ 12 Step Meeting

Hello and Good Morning!!! I was hoping to go to a twelve step meeting that started at 10:00am Seattle time. Sadly, I thought it was on a Saturday morning when it turns out it is a Sunday morning. I will be be able to attend that meeting due to volunteering during that time. As disappointed as I am I am grateful that I can now get some sleep since I didn’t sleep last night. I can now take a nap.

At least there are other meetings I can attend meeting later to day on Zoom. I will be able to do self care by sleeping, attending twelve step meetings and of course spending time with the love of my life, my cat Billie Dean. Recovery is awesome and looks differently to everyone.

Fell Asleep Reading a Good Book

Good Evening, World from my neck of the world known as Seattle. I was finally getting into the book I am reading known as ” The Ship of Magic” by Robin Hobb. Sadly, I feel asleep reading. Not because it is boring as it is not boring. I just needed to sleep. I hope to be able to take a another nap an read again to report how good the boo is so far. So far from what I have read it has been awesome reading.

So, my plan is to take a couple of hour nap so I can be able to read “The Ship of Magic” Robin Hobb. I hope to give our some updates about the book which means spoil alerts.

Not Much Sleep but @ Least I Got a Little Sleep

Good Afternoon, World. I am happy to announce that I got some sleep. I didn’t get much sleep but at least I got a little be of sleep. Now that I am sort of awake, I plan on taking it by reading. I will be reading a book that a family member loaned me. In fact my great aunt load me this book and it appears to be a short book that is an easy read. After that I would be geeking out as well as nerding out by reading comic books. Specifically, I will be reading Wonder Woman comic books.

I figured that reading will be an easy way to relax since I didn’t get much sleep today. Reading is a form of self care for me. Self care is necessary in my line of work as being a peer specialist at a mental health agency. I love my job but need to take care of myself so I can make sure I can be of help to my clients.

Of course my cat is a part or my self care plan. He is such cuddle bug as well as a love bug. I don’t know what I would do with out his unconditional love. I love Billie just as much as he loves me.

Let’s Hope I Can Sleep Tonight

Good Evening, World!!! My day did not go as planned. It didn’t go as planned due to the fact I didn’t sleep very well last night. Which led to sleep most of the day today. Yes, I admit I needed the sleep due to having not been feeling good due to having Covid-19, I just wanted to start writing down my goals for the year 2022. The big ones goals I have how I will use my small goals to get to the bigger goals.

Sadly, due to not sleeping last night and taking a nap all day I have not be able to do so as I want to be accountable to people regarding my goals for the new year. I know goals are constantly changing due to the fact some end up completed and some will need to be reevaluated. And some need to be more realistic.

As far as one of my goals is to have better sleep hygiene sleep schedule but that can be challenging to do when you are feeling sick for whatever sickness you have. So, I will try to do this despite still being fatigue from Covid-19.

At least one of my goals for the new years is being complete which is spending time with my loving and cuddle bug cat, Billie Dean. Also right now he is being a pain in the rear end but that is okay as he didn’t get much attention today due to be taking an extremely long nap. I love my cat so much. Billie helps me with my mindfulness practices.

A Much Needed Nap Followed Up by Self Care

Good Evening, World!!! It’s been an unproductive day as right now. Or at least in feels like it. Since my last particular post, I did manage to get some self care in. started of my taking a much needed nap as I didn’t sleep very well last night. After my nap, I took a shower and then had some food. I had Lunchables pizza. Not the most healthiest food but at least it was food. I also had a some soda with my pizza lunchables.

I of course spent time with my cat Billie Dean cuddling me as I did some artwork. In fact the artwork I did was color. Coloring is a type of mindfulness for me. As I color, I listen to a podcast. I listen to a podcast about philosophy. I enjoy learning new things especially about philosophy.

Honestly, I wish I did not have Covid as it making me feel isolated from those I love can care about such as my friend and family as well as my colleagues at work and my clients. Not to mention missing the people I volunteer to with at PAWS Cats City.

I will be so thrilled when Covid goes away so I can do what I normally do when I don’t have Covid-19. I want things to be back to normal. Having Covid suck shit. I guess it could be worse and me being in the hospital with Covid-19. I just wat to feel better.

Anxiety & Fear Over My Dad

Good Evening, World!!! I am not going to work tonight because my dad is in the hospital. Sadly, he was moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), early this morning because he has fluid on the lungs and maybe around the heart. Even though the emergency surgery went well, the fluid around the lungs is never a good thing especially with my dads history of pneumonia. It was five years ago at this time of year where he was give a very slim chance of living due to his pneumonia but thankfully he is a live. I just wish his health was better at the moment. At least he is not on life support and wanting to go home.

Even though I am not sitting at the hospital with my dad at the moment, I just wanted to make sure that if health were to take the turn for the worst that I am able to have the availability to get to the hospital. That is part of the reason why I chose to get someone to cover my shift at work tonight. I am grateful that I was able to have a colleague cover my shift.

Due to my dad’s health and him being in the ICU my anxiety is up and my fear of him being put a ventilator is extremely high at the moment. The fear and anxiety I am having, my cat, Lil Gertie, is picking up on. When I have been home she as been by my side or on my chest to comfort me.  Being comforted by my cat has been a great help to me and has lessened my anxiety and fear.

Not only is my cat, Lil Gertie, comforting me but I am having friends checking in on me. Having friends checking in on me is always a good thing. In fact a friend of mine even brought me lunch when I was at the hospital visiting my dad. It is great that I have friends that check up on me.

My family has be pulling together in regards to my dad’s health. My grandpa and two uncles who are my dad’s dad and two brothers have been taking turns at the hospital. My grandpa and two uncles have been a great support. They are just as worried about my dad as I am. Having family support and the support of my friends has been great for me.

I wish I was able to get some sleep today but sadly I have not been able to nap. I didn’t sleep well last night due to insomnia and I think I have been unable to nap today due to my dad’s health and him being in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the hospital. I think I am going to go to bed early tonight as I need some sleep. Sleep is crucial to one health and I don’t want to get sick especially since my dad is ill.

A Workplace Post Do To Boredom

Good Morning, World!!! I am currently at work and wish I was at home asleep. I am more tired that I usually am and slightly bored at the moment. I wish I was able to take a nap but sadly that is frowned upon at work. As much as I wish I could take a nap at least I have about three and a half hours left of my shift. I get off at 8:30 in the morning and it is currently 5:00 in the morning.

Sadly, I forgot to brings the coloring poster page with me to work so I could work on it. Thankfully, I did bring some coloring pages from a coloring book to work on. Coloring helps pass the time when things get boring and nothing much to do as much of what needs to be done is at the beginning of the shift as well as the end of the shift. I am grateful that I have the ability to color while at work as many places won’t allow you to do so if there is nothing to do.

Since there is not much to do till six in the morning, I most likely will be watching yet another television show or movie on Netflix or Hulu. Watching movies or television on a streaming site helps pass the time when things get a little slow and boring here at work.

When I get off work I plan on getting some soda as I have been craving it since I finished my last one a couple of hours into my work shift. I plan on enjoying the soda on my way home from work. When I arrived home, I plan on taking a nap. Hopefully a nice long nap that is longer than an hour and a half. I am hoping that the nap I plan on taking when I arrive home is about three hours but I am not holding my breath on the fact.

Attempting to Go Back to Basics With Blogging

Good Afternoon, World!!! As I was attempting to take a nap that sadly was unsuccessful, I thought of ways that I could blog on the regular basis. One of the first things I thought about doing but decided not to do at this moment in time was doing one of the courses WordPress puts on. I have decided to not do this as I am busy trying to build structure in my life and yes that would be helpful however the other things in my life I need to build structure in are slightly more important than taking a course that is everyday. When it comes to building structure in regards to my blog is committing to blogging three times a week. So, two of my post will be something that I have done before and that would be, Sundays I will do a post on my weekly plans to give you an idea of what my week will look likes. A good portion of my weeks are pretty much the same but I like to give you all an idea of the ways I attempt to be a productive adult. Another thing I plan on doing is giving a weekly update on Saturdays despite needing to sleep all day due to working Saturday nights. I think this will be doable if I plan it just right and I have faith in myself that I can make this possible. As far as the third post, I am not sure what day I will do it or what I will discuss. It might be just a random post of what ever is going on at the moment.

I also hope to possibly post a fourth post a week that involves showing the art the I am working on. Or even posting pictures of the cute things my cat does. So maybe having a fourth and fifth post that involve pictures of my art and my cat. I have noticed that when I post pictures I tend to get more people looking at the post. I also realize that if I post on the regular basis whether or not pictures are involve people tend to not loose interest in reading my blog and will continue to read it.

I do not have much more to post about in regards to blogging. I do hope to blog again later today in regards to my issues with Trump. I want to thank you for reading my blog.
