Hump Day Update

Good Evening, World!!! It is Wednesday which means it is time for a mid week update or what I like to call it; Hump Day Update. The only thing I really have to update you on is something I want to confirm with my doctor first and I see her for my annual wellness check this Friday. Overall, things are going relatively well. Things with Junior are going quite well and my mom is quite happy that we are back together. Of course my dad and grandpa “approve” of Junior because he has always treated me well.

I do not have much more to update you on in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be continuing to write on my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Daily Prompt; What Would You Do if You Won the Lottery?

Bloganuary writing prompt
What would you do if you won the lottery?

The first thing I would do if I won the lottery is pay off my debts as being in debt sucks sh!t. I have both medical and credit card debt and it would be nice to not to worry about owing money.

After paying off debt I would love to buy me a new home. I would love to own a house however I would be happy owning a condo. Owning my own home would be amazing for me as I don’t ever see myself owning my own home unless a miracle like winning the lottery.

Another thing I would like to do is get a college education. I would love to get my four year degree in Applied Behavioral Science at Seattle Central College which is a two year college. Ultimately this would be a cheaper route and the route I would love to do. I would also like to get my Master’s of Social Work (MSW) if that is in the budget to do after winning the lottery. If I have the chance to ever get my MSW I would love to get it from the University of Washington.

One of the other things I would love to do if I ever won the lottery is get my passport to travel. I would love to travel to Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Germany. I would also like to travel within the United States via train to various cities and towns.

The other thing I would really love to do is increase the amount of money I donate to a local animal shelter that adopts out dogs and cats as well as some rehabilitation for wildlife. Any organization that does rehabilitation for wild animals as well as adopts out cats and dogs is an organization worth giving money to.

A Pleasant Surprise

Good Morning, World!!! It is just barely after eight o’clock in the morning here in Seattle. Thankfully, the weather is somewhat becoming more normal for Seattle. It is now currently raining but sadly it is still cold outside and in the thirties (Fahrenheit) but at least it is not cold enough to snow at this point in time.

As I type this particular blog post my cat Billie is on my lap as my partner, Junior is fixing me breakfast when he does not have to. He decided to come by my place after his shift as a Seattle fire fighter to spend time with me and to make sure I eat. When Junior showed up to make me breakfast I told him he just wanted an excuse to see my cat, Billie. Anyway, Junior is making me French toast with scrambled eggs. Junior knows how much I love French toast and scrambled eggs and how I have been craving them almost daily. I am always happy to spend time with him and wish he didn’t spoil me so much.

I do not have much more to write about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you, the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be continuing to write my blog. Daily Prompt; What Colleges have you attended?

Bloganuary writing prompt
What colleges have you attended?

I sadly have not had the luxury of being able to attend college for various reasons. One of those reasons which is the main reason is money and the lack there of due to living in poverty most of my life. I am aware that there are programs there such as government grants as well as various scholarships however you have to qualify for such things.

Money might be the major reason why I have not had the luxury to attend college but my various disabilities have gotten in the way. Or maybe I should say I let my disabilities get in the way and I was taught at a young age to never allow my disabilities get in the way of my education as I can easily figure out what accommodations I need to help me with education.

Coloring to Help the Inner Child Within

Good Morning, World!!! It is just after three o’clock in the morning, Seattle time. I woke up from a nightmare about an hour ago and I feel like a scared little kid. A scared little kid that had to grow up fast in childhood. Since I am feeling like a scared little kid I have been coloring as I find it quite helpful to connect with my inner child that had to grow too fast. Coloring is also a mindfulness practice for me as it helps become grounded and present as well as to stay grounded and present in the moment.

I do not have much else to write about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you, the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be continuing to write my blog. The Thing I Would Love To Witness Is A Flash Mob

Good Evening, World!!! Right now I am not sure how I am doing and would like to let you know something I would love to witness and have honestly only informed one person of it in my entire life which I would really love to witness a flash mob singing and playing musical instruments. I realize this is weird and that only one other person in my life is aware of it seems unusual however I really don’t want people to gear the flash mob for me. I would like to enjoy it without being embarrassed as well as have other people just enjoy it and not focus on me. I think witnessing one would be fun and I hope I can witness one in my lifetime. I know it seems silly to want to witness a flash mob but I think it would make me happy as well as make other people happy.

Daily Prompt; What Do You Complain About the Most?

Bloganuary writing prompt
What do you complain about the most?

I guess now is as good of time as any other time on what I complain about the most. I think I complain most about the cold weather especially when it gets below freezing outside like it currently is here in Seattle. I do not do well in freezing weather and really hate being cold especially when my feet are wet. I also complain a lot about wet feet and you would think I would get water proof or water resistant shoes since I live in Seattle but nope I don’t have any shoes like that at the moment. It may be below freezing outside right now but at least there is no snow on the ground in my Seattle neighborhood. Not having snow in Seattle is a good thing.

The Apple Cup of Women’s Basketball

Good Morning, World!!! Yesterday afternoon I was able to take my grandpa and uncle to the University of Washington (UW) Huskies versus Washington State University (WSU) Cougars women’s basketball game. I rooted for the UW Huskies while my uncle and grandpa rooted for the WSU Cougars. The Cougars won the game but the Huskies put up a good fight. Overall, it was an awesome game. I took some pictures and I am going to share a few with you on this particular blog post.

Daily Prompt; What Are Your Biggest Challenges

Bloganuary writing prompt
What are your biggest challenges?

I can spend all day listing my challenges as I have so many of them already however I am not going to do that. I will say that my biggest challenges are myself as well as PTSD and Depression.

I am one of my biggest challenges because I can get in the way of myself in many different ways and can prevent myself from accomplishing great things in my community. I get in the way of myself by a lot of negative self talk which isn’t good for anyone especially those like me who have a mental health diagnosis.

Speaking of mental health diagnoses, my own diagnoses are challenging. Some moments are more challenging than other moments. Knowing when certain times of the year are harder than other times of year can be quite helpful to make sure those moments don’t have to be as challenging.
