Good Afternoon, World!!! Well, it is another weekend and I have realized it has been four days since I last blog and I apologize for that. I don’t really have any reasons or excuses of not blogging except, I really didn’t feel like it for some reason.
Well, as many of you if not all of you know, it is the weekend. What many of you may not know is that the weather people here in Seattle keep saying we are suppose to have a couple of spring storms this weekend. Storms that are suppose to bring strong winds, pouring down rain and possible power outages due to strong winds. I can tell you right now from looking out my window that the wind is blowing due to the trees moving but it is not raining even though the clouds in the distance look ominous.
Due the so called spring storms coming, I’ll be a bit on the lazy side this weekend. Specifically, I will be doing quite a bit of reading. I will be reading Yesternight by Cat Winters. Hopefully, I will be able to finish it this weekend. I am really enjoying the a book immensely. I highly recommend the book. I will also be reading comic books; specifically, Wonder Woman.
I really do not have much else to say. Thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things. I hope everyone has a great weekend and is able to enjoy whatever you may doing. Peace Out, World!!!
Good Evening, World!!! The last week has been quite a week. In fact it was snowing here in the Seattle area for a good ten or so days and finally stopped yesterday. Granted it didn’t snow yesterday (Wednesday) but it was still at freezing if not below freezing outside so the snow stayed around. Now it is warm enough to melt the snow. It is currently raining in the city of Seattle. Sadly snow is could be in the forecast again this weekend which is something nobody really wants at the moment.
As many of you know, today is Valentines Day. A holiday I never liked even when I had a significant other as why do we need a special day to say “I love you.” This year is a complicated Valentines Day. Not as complicated as last year but still complicated. Today makes the one year anniversary of my grandma passing away. Today has been a difficult day for me and the rest of my family.
Sadly, I was not able to see my therapist this past Tuesday due to the agency I am a client at was closed due to the snow and was hoping to see him before today so we could come up with a plan to handle the grief I am dealing with today. He did call me yesterday and we discussed ways on how I can remember my grandma today. We even made another appointment for me to see him tomorrow (Friday) so, I can check in with him to see how things went today. In fact he did call me today as well to check in on me as he wanted to make sure I was still doing okay. I am still doing okay but I really miss my grandma. I am grateful for my therapist checking up on me and rescheduling our appointment.
I do not have much more to say in this post. I hope to be posting more but right now I am fighting off isolation and grief. I hope to post sometime this weekend. I want to thank you for reading my blog as it is greatly appreciated from my end of things. I hope everyone has a great evening. Peace Out, World!!!
Good Morning, World!!! It is now two o’clock in the morning in my corner of the world and I am both wide awake and sleepy at the same time. I think I am sleepy because I am bored half out of my skull at work. I am wide awake because I have been drinking soda to help me stay awake. If it’s not the caffeine or the sugar that is helping me stay awake, it is the constant having to go pee due to drinking so much soda. I can literally say that my shift is now half over. I only have six more hours to go.
As I sit here typing at my office computer I can hear the rain falling outside. So, it is a good thing that a good portion of our guest decided to come to the shelter tonight as this is one night that would not be pleasant to stay out in. I do have to say that the rainy weather is making me a wee bit tired.
I am wondering what my cat is doing at the moment as she slept most of the day with me. I wonder if she is wondering around my apartment like she did last night when I was keeping myself awake so I could sleep during the day.
I honestly hope the next six hours goes by quickly as I want to go home and curl up with my cat and a good book to read. In fact the rainy weather is having me feel that at the moment. I think after I go to my rounds for my job, I will do some coloring.
Well, I need to be going as I have to check on the guest in the shelter and then I will be coloring till it is time to do my next set of rounds. I hope everyone is able to have a good sleep. Peace Out, World!!!
Good Morning, World. It is just past three o’clock in the morning in my corner of the world and I am tired as hell. For some reason I am unable to sleep right now. Listening to the rain is helping me stay relaxed and calm.
Another thing that is calming me is my book. It is helping me not think about things that are bothering me at the moment. It is nice to be able to be so into a book and enjoy the world the author has created.
Thank you for reading. It is much appreciated. Peace Out, World!!!
Good Evening, World!!! It is a yucky weather day here in Seattle. The rain has stopped for now as pictured below. Yes, the ground is wet and the sky is grey but at least no rain for now. See picture below.
Something I did today was work on my stamped cross stitch. It is cross stitch where the pattern is stamped already to the fabric. Which is different from counted cross stitch. It is that of a skull. Kind reminds me of Day of the Dead skull. As you can tell from the picture below I’ve only done the red part of the eye on the left.
I also read quite a bit today. I am grateful for days like today. I was pretty much able to be lazy for a good portion of it. I was able to cross stitch and read after getting food from the grocery store and farmers market earlier in the day. I love it when I get chores done early than I expect.
Thank you for reading. It is much appreciated. Peace Out, World!!!!.
