Birthday Weekend Continues

Good Morning, World!!! My birthday weekend continues, thanks to my wonderful partner, Junior. Yes, yesterday was my official birthday but Junior wants to make sure my birthday is wonderful, and it has been wonderful. My partner and I went out to breakfast with my best friend and her partner at the Blue Star Cafe and Pub. The food was delicious as always. Also, my partner and I will be going out to dinner with a group of our friends to Red Robin for my birthday. Red Robin is my favorite restaurant, and I love their food. I am grateful for awesome people in my life and that they want to celebrate me even though I am uncomfortable with it. I am uncomfortable with it due to the trauma I dealt with as a child but at least I know I have people who care about me.

I do not have anything else to discuss or share or to write about in this particular blog post except that I will post more about my birthday this weekend. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog I would not be continuing to write my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Dinner Time

Hello, World!!! It is that time of day where I need to eat something. It is also that time of day where it is my hour break from work. That means it is my dinner time as I work from 12:00pm to 8:00pm on Mondays. In fact I work from home on Mondays which makes it easy for dinner time.

I am going to have some leftover fettuccini alfredo with mushrooms and tabasco sauce. I love my food with spice which is why I put tabasco sauce on just about everything. I know it is weird but I don’t care what others think about it.

Working from home like today has its advantages. One of those advantages is being able to eat my work meal at home. Another advantage of working from home is being able to be with my cat, Billie Dean. Being able to have Billie on my lap when I am in session with a client is helpful for both me and my clients.

I better get going so I can actually eat my dinner. I want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. Without you my reader I wouldn’t be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Grateful Even For Depression

Good Evening, World!!! I’m sitting here grateful for the shit I have been through. Yes, even the negative and bad shit. I am grateful for it as it has made me who I am. Yes, my depression is still slightly acting up however I am still grateful. I am even grateful for the depression I am dealing with. I am grateful for it as it has helped shaped me as a person and made me stronger.

I realized this gratitude after journaling in my gratitude journal. I may not like to admit I am strong person but I am grateful that I am in space that I am able to do so on occasion. Being grateful in the face of difficult times is a huge success for me and my recovery.

Being grateful for my what I have is a good thing and Junior is telling me dinner is reading. We are having Lasagna. Junior makes some great Lasagna. Have a great evening everyone. Peace Out, World!!!

ONE BIG OUCH (No Make That 3 Big Ouches)

Hey! It’s still Tuesday. I am typing this blog in pain. Why are you in pain you ask. Well, I forgot to turn the burner off all the way and went to clean it and well I burned the tops of three of my fingers. So when I burned my fingers my boyfriend gave me ice as he put our dinner away that we had just fixed but not eaten yet and then he took me to the Emergency Room (ER). Surprisingly I only spent 45 minutes in the ER. I got some cream stuff to put on my fingers. Yes I am already getting blisters on 2 out of my 3 burned fingers. In all honesty I don’t think I should be typing right now. My fingers hurt like hell. I do have to say that both the Attending physician and Resident Physician were extremely pleasant and helpful. The nurse of course of extraordinary. I was told to not go to my volunteer job tomorrow and am really disappointed about that. I enjoy my volunteer job.

It looks like since I am unable to volunteer tomorrow that I will be doing a lot of reading. If you haven’t read A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, I encourage you to read it. I am enjoying the book immensely.

I should get going for two reasons. One: Dinner is finally reheated and am hungry. So its time to eat. Two: My fingers are in extreme pain and I should stop typing now. I am hoping to blog tomorrow but if I don’t you know why. Have a good Tuesday evening everyone. Peace out and take care of yourselves.
