Weekly Check In

Hello, World!!! This past week has been an up and down week. It has been up and down due to the fact Valentines Day marked five years since my grandma passed away. I miss my grandma greatly. My grandma alongside my grandpa helped my dad raise me. I am grateful that my grandma guided me through life.

Work is going well. I had new employee training this past week and was bored but at least I met some other colleagues besides the ones that I directly work with on the team I am on. I really enjoy my new job and look forward to going to work everyday. In fact, my work schedule changed. I, will be working Sunday through Thursday. Most Sundays I will be working from home doing notes. Tomorrow, I will be going into the office to do some training on the computer and possibly going to one of the housing projects to check-in with a couple of clients.

On that note, I am grateful that I have my cat, Billie Dean who is helping during my down moments. I love Billie to the moon and back. I am happy he chose me three years ago and that I was able to adopt him.

Well, that is my weekly check-in. Peace Out World!!!

What Day is Today?….It’s Hump Day

As I stated in my last blog post I was having some high anxiety over money that the bank did. I learned it was mostly not my fault. The bank manager will be helping with setting a budget for my monthly bills. He really didn’t have to do this but he did. I will be doing monthly budgets within one month and then do a check in to see how things are going. The branch manager at the bank I go to is beyond awesome. So the money situation should be fixed for now.

On the plus side, I set up a veterinarian appointment for my precious cat, Billie Dean. I love Billie so very much. I love him to the moon and back. Billie doesn’t mind going just as long as there are treats for him. He also loves the extra love he gets from everyone. They treat him very well there and that makes me happy.

Something else that makes me happy is I got some art and crafty stuff from Amazon. I would really like to start them now but I really need to create a schedule so I can clean my apartment the way it needs to be not just for me but for my precious cat, Billie as well. I am planning on purging some things in my life and of course getting more creative stuff within reason of course.

Of course, I will be doing some workbooks for my own recovery so when I present a group on a certain workbook, I can let clients know that I did do the workbooks. I hope what I am planning on doing works well for me, my cat, my current home and my job.

I do not have much more to say. Thank you for reading my blog. I am grateful for you because you read my blog. Peace Out, World!!

Out of Work Today Due to Anxiety Acting Up

Good Morning, World!!! Right now, I should be arriving at work especially since I need to be attending a new employee orientation where all new employees are required to take. Sadly, due to a mishap with my bank once again, I am having major panic attacks over it to where I needed to take my anxiety meds which is a controlled substance. My work frowns upon needing to take those types of meds when you are working as you need to be on full alert. I did let my supervisors know that I would not be in today. I just worry I will get fired because I’ve already missed three days counting today and I’ve only been with my new employee for just over a month now. I’m sure I have nothing to worry about at this moment in time with work or they would have informed me by now or I would hope they would have.

The thing I am most worried about is the money situation I am having with my bank. I thought it was taken care of and it was at one point in time. Now it is screwed up again. I did call the bank to see if I could get it fixed. They said it is now taken care of but I will still go to the bank I regularly go to, to make sure it is taken care of. Even though the nice banking people on the phone were helpful, I just want to make sure it is fully taken care of when I go into the bank. Messing with people’s money is no joke and I know my bank with help with the money situation as communication styles were challenging specifically on my end.

Of course the lack of sleep last night did not help much with my anxiety around my money in my bank account this morning. It was quite a shocker when the same banking issue arises again as you barely wake up from a not so good night of sleep. Having insomnia sucks and waking up to money issues that were supposed to be taken care of already suck.

Good thing I have my cat, Billie Dean by my side to help with my anxiety especially when I go to the bank. No Billie will not go to the bank with me. He will help me with decreasing my anxiety before I go to the bank. Hopefully, this will help with everything.

I do not have much more to discuss in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Grateful for My Cat Billie Dean

My cat, Billie Dean woke me up and checked-in with me while I was having a nightmare. Billie does a great way to help me with calming down with both nightmares and chilling me out when it comes to anxiety. I have of course going to be doing some mindfulness meditation practice with Billie Dean my cat. My cat is an amazing cat and I love him so that you know how precious my cat is. Billie will help me get back to sleep.Of course Billie is a great help with my practice my mindfulness meditation practice.

I really enjoy my cat and love him. Billie is an awesome I love him to the moon to back.

Weekly Check-In

Good Evening, World!!! It is that time to do my weekly check-in. This is something I enjoy doing for many reasons. Overall, this past week has been great despite the lack of sleep I have had due to insomnia. Insomnia sucks hard core.

Even though, I have had trouble sleeping a good portion of the week, work went quite well. I received some awesome feedback from my supervisor on how to deal with some challenging clients. Granted it was hard to take feedback but awesome. My supervisor is awesome. I also received great feedback from my supervisor during our team meeting which was hard to take in as I am use to taking praise especially in front of other people.

My twice daily mindfulness meditation practices are going quite well. Actually, I do three a day five days a week when I work as I do one mid-day to help myself refocus and to lessen stress especially if it has been an unusually stressful day at work. The extra mindfulness meditation practice during my work day actually focuses on work related stress. So, basically I do two mindfulness meditation practices twice a week and three mindfulness meditation practices five times a week. Sometimes I do more if I feel like I need to.

My cat, Billie Dean of course has been a love bug and quite awesome. Billie helped me quite a bit with my anxiety attacks regarding unexpected anxiety provoking events. Events that were eventually dealt with.

That is my weekly check-in for the week. Thank you for reading. Peace Out, World!!!

Sleepless in Seattle Type of Night

Good Morning, World!!! It just after two in the morning Seattle time and I am unable to sleep. I have been awake since two thirtyish yesterday morning. As much as I dislike not being able to sleep, I am making the best of the situation.

I am making the best of it by reading. I am reading a book about Tarot Cards. In fact the book, I am reading is Tarot Cards by Lisa Chamberlain. I am reading it because I am interested in it and am hoping it will help me with some parts of my recovery with the mental health challenges I struggle with from time to time. I know it is not the usual way to help with recovery but recovery is non-linear and not a one size fits all.

One size may not fit all for recovery of any kind which is why, I am all for different ways to work on my recovery. Another way I work on my recovery is my cat, Billie. Billie helps a great deal with various symptoms the mental health challenges I struggle. He definitely helps me with anxiety and PTSD symptoms. I think I will cuddle up with Billie and read.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of the things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Happy Friday

Happy Friday, World!!! Today has been an amazing day despite the lack of sleep I had last night. Work went extremely well. I enjoy this job and have amazing colleagues. Colleagues that are on the same team as me as well as colleagues that are not on the same team.

Speaking of colleagues from both my team and different team, myself and five colleagues went out to eat. My colleagues had alcoholic beverages while I had soda. I could have had a drink with alcohol but I don’t need alcohol to have fun. Not saying my colleagues drink to have fun. The place we went was awesome and the food was amazing. The best part of dinner with colleagues was having fun and the restaurant happens to be in my neighborhood which means I walked home.

Now, I am home writing this blog post with my cat, Billie Dean on my lap purring up a storm. I love Billie to the moon and back. Billie is an amazing cat and am grateful for him being in my life. I plan on spending the weekend relaxing with Billie by my side.

I do not have much more to discuss in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things for you the reader, reading my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Happy Friday and Peace Out, World!!!

Update on New Job

Good Evening, World!!! I just wanted to update you on my new job. First and foremost, I am loving the new job most days. I love the fact that more than sixty percent of my job is doing outreach to clients while the other part is in the office doing notes or attending meetings.

I am not a big fan of attending meetings nor doing notes but that’s okay. It’s okay because starting on Sunday, February 19th I will be working Sunday through Thursday. On that note Sunday will be my work from home day which means Sundays will be my paperwork day as well as taking clients on field trips such as going to the zoo or aquarium. I am not a big fan of working a weekend day especially Sunday because I had to change my volunteer days at PAWS Cat City from Sunday to Friday but I am grateful I was able to change my volunteer shift.

I’ve digressed. Despite the change in my work schedule, I am grateful for my job. I am also grateful how tight knit the team I am is. My colleagues are awesome and my supervisor is super cool. I am lucky to have supportive colleagues.

I do not have much more to discuss in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciative from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Up Too Early On A Sunday Morning!!!

Good Morning, World!!! It is just before six in the morning Seattle time. I have been up since just before four in the morning Seattle time. So, I have been up for barely two hours and I don’t have to be up for about another hour to get ready to go and volunteer at PAWS Cat City.

Anyway, since I am unable to go back to sleep, I decided to turn on some music and do some art. The type of art I did was color. I am coloring a giant poster. A giant poster, I hope to give it to my mom when I am done coloring it. As I colored this giant poster, I listened to music on Spotify. The music I listened to was my childhood play list. A play list that reminds me of good parts of my childhood. I’m glad to have started my day listening to music while coloring. Now it’s time to do my mindfulness meditation practice while my cat, Billie sits on my lap.

I do not have much more to write about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. I hope you all have a great Sunday ahead of you. Peace Out, World!!!
