Happy International Cat Day

Happy International Cat Day, World!!! I am just writing a brief blog to wish everyone a Happy International Cat Day and post two pictures of my cat Billie. I put some closed captioning in the photo’s for those who are sight impaired or blind.

A picture of Billie on my lap as I sit in bed.

I do not have anything else to discuss or any other cat pictures of Billie share about in this particular blog post except to wish you a Happy International Cat Day one more time. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog I would not be continuing to write my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Lack of Blogging = Regular Blogging Schedule

Good Afternoon, World!!! My blogging or the lack there of has me thinking about creating a schedule to blog at least two to three times a week. I plan on blogging Sunday mornings and posting Weekly Plans. On Saturday Mornings, I plan on doing Caturday with Billie and Friends which will be pictures of my cat Billie and cats from friends as well as cats I work with at my volunteer job at PAWS Cat City. Then on Saturday evenings, I will do a Weekly Check-In. I figure that if I schedule blogging into my calendar that I will keep you my reader at least semi-interested in continuing to read my blog.

Another thing I am considering doing happens to be daily prompts. Not sure when I will start them much less how long I will do them and the frequency. I most likely will do daily prompts that WordPress does as they tend to be good prompts in my opinion a good portion of the time.

I do not have much more to discuss or write about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be continuing to write my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Caturday with Billie the Kat

Happy Caturday, World!!! I have decided to start posting pictures of my cat and on occasions other cats on Saturdays as who doesn’t love to look at pictures of cats. For those who are site impaired or blind I will do a caption on the photo as WordPress allows folks to do this on their blog.

Billie the Kat laying against my chest. He does this quite frequently.

Well, that is it for this weeks pictures of the cuteness of my cat Billie. I hope you enjoy the pictures. Peace Out, World!!!

Getting Back to Blogging on the Regular Basis

Good Morning, World!!! I have been doing some thinking and am wanting to get back to blogging on the more regular basis. I tend to go weeks and sometimes months without blogging and it really bothers me I am not keeping you my reader more engaged. So, I am going to start back up my “Weekly Check-Ins” this Saturday evening. I also plan on starting my “Weekly Plans” this Sunday morning before my volunteer shift.

Another thing I plan on doing is WordPress’s courses through their Blogging U. I will be doing four courses. Those four course are Finding Your Everyday Inspiration, Intro to Poetry, Developing Your Eye I and Developing Your Eye II. I will start with Finding Your Everyday Inspiration this Sunday and is a twenty day course. Then after I am done with doing Find Your Everyday Inspiration, I will do Intro to Poetry which is a ten day course. After Intro to Poetry I will then do Developing Your Eye I which is a ten day course. After I do, Developing Your Eye I, I will do Developing Your II which is another ten day course. All this will be a total of forty days in a row so I hope it becomes a habit to continue in the New Year as doing all four of these course will going into the New Year.

I do not have much more to discuss in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my perspective that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Developing Your Eye; Day 8: Treasure

My teddy bear that I’ve had since the day I was born or so I’m told

Treasure can mean different things to different people. For instance I have what I call many treasures including my cat Billie and having a place to call home. But for today, the treasure I’ve decided to feature for this assignment is my teddy bear. In fact my uncle got him for me the day I was born or at least that is way the story goes. Considering, that he needs to be stuffed again and have his arm sewn back together at this very moment, I believe the story. The picture in this post just shows the Teddy wasn’t in dire need of being put back together. I call my teddy bear; Teddy or Ted. My family says it’s time to put him in retirement and let him watch over me as I sleep while he sits on the dresser. I agree but I’ve been sleeping with this stuffed animal for my entire life and it’s hard to give up. Teddy has been pretty much everywhere with me except when I went to camp as a preteen and teenager. So, Teddy is a treasure that has seen it all with me; the good, the bad and the ugly and lets not forget he has seen me in my recovery process. Since he has been with me my entire life that is why I chose him to be my featured treasure.

Developing Your Eye; Day 7 Solitude

A Foggy Snowy 2021 Christmas Day in Olympia, Washington

Blast to the past of Christmas of 2021. I took this this picture from my hotel room on Christmas morning of 2021 before I bundled myself up and walked around Capitol Lake twice. In fact it was mainly a solitude walk as only saw two other walkers when on a typical non holiday there are more walkers. I enjoyed the solitude and enjoyed my Christmas walk before spending it with family.

Developing Your Eye; Day 6; The Rule of Thirds

From first glance it looks like just a big tree but if you scroll in closer you will see an owl.

I may not understand the rule of thirds for this assignment and that is okay with me. Again, I was hiking through Ravenna and Cowen parks and notice an owl in a tree. It was a mama owl watching here growing babies that where learning what owls learn but they were in a different try and I couldn’t get a good picture with out disturbing any of the owls. I love owls and is rare to find one in the city but at least they find safe places in some of the city parks.

Developing Your Eye; Day 5: “Connect”

A bridge in the fore foreground that leads to stair in back ground that lead to one of many trails. (You may need to expand the picture to see the stairs.)

This leads to one of my favorite trails in between Cowen Park and Ravenna Park. In fact in my opinion it’s one of the most peaceful trails in the Cowen Park and Ravenna Park connection. I use this trail quiet often.

Developing Your Eye; Day 4: Bliss

This is my cat, Billie the first night he was home after adopting him from a local animal shelter. In this picture he is giving me a hug as he sleeps. It’s one of my favorite picture and gives me since of bliss he trusted me from day one.

I feel like the picture explains itself as Billie, my cat found his bliss in in new furrever home with me two and half years ago. His first night home he was comfortable sleeping on me while giving me a hug. One of the most previous I have of Billie.

Developing Your Eye; Day 3: Water

A nice little brook (stream) as I hike through the Cowen and Ravenna Parks in Seattle

I typically go to Cowen and Ravenna parks in Seattle which are connected by hiking trailing. Relativity short to a almost moderate trails. Anyway as I was hiking I noticed this small brook (stream) and thought it was beautiful especially with the small waterfall. This is one of my favorite things to do in Seattle and do this particular park at least once week with the exception of when it is literally thirty nine degrees Fahrenheit or below because that is just too cold for me.
