Ugh!!! Someone Pulled the Fire Alarm, Again

Ugh!!! I am not a very happy person at the moment. Hell, many of my neighbors are not happy either. It is just after two o’clock in the morning here in Seattle and it is raining. Anyway, a neighbor pulled the fire alarm, once again because another neighbor was not wearing a mask because of the mandate Washington State till has till late March.

Anyway, many of us if not all of us neighbors are not too happy with the neighbor that pulled the fire alarm. Not only did it wake us up but many of us have pets that we need to evacuate with us humans. For me, I make sure I take my cat when I evacuate when the building fire alarm goes off. I’m not about to leave my cat in my apartment just in case it’s an actual fire. Thankfully this time around it was not. I do have neighbors who have snakes, frogs or fish and they are harder to evacuate than a cat or dog is.

Anyway, the firefighters are not exactly that happiest of people with this neighbor and I don’t blame them. They had to get in a middle of a fight between the neighbor who pulled the fire alarm for no reason and another neighbor. That means the cops were called again. The cops were going to show up anyway but since a fight broke out they arrived more quickly.

Long story short the neighbor who started the fight just got a warning while the neighbor that pulled the fire alarm got arrested. He most likely will be out later today or tomorrow since it is a misdemeanor. I just wish he would stay in jail longer and/or apartment management would evict the neighbor that keeps pulling the fire alarm.

It’s a good thing that I don’t start work till twelve noon, Seattle time today. That means, I get to sleep in a little. That’s if Billie Dean my cat doesn’t wake me up to be fed as he has plenty to eat in his bowls at the moment or to wake me up to play. I really love cat Billie. He has been a life saver for me.

Idiot Alarm Pulling Neighbor Finally Arrested

Good Fucking, Morning, World!!! The idiot neighbor who admits to the firefighters that he pulls the fire alarm because other neighbors aren’t wearing their mask because of Covid-19 finally got his ass arrested. It’s only taken well over a year of him doing this for him to finally get his ass arrested.

Now my other neighbors, myself and our pets including my cat don’t have to worry about a fire alarm going off for no fucking reason. We don’t have to evacuate the build with our pets and making sure are disabled neighbors get evacuated due to the false alarms of this neighbor pulling the alarm due to other neighbors not wearing their mask. My neighbors as well as myself and everyone’s pets are finally relieved that we don’t have to worry about this neighbor pulling the fire alarm.

The police and firefighters appeared as happy as me and my neighbors are that he finally got arrested. Dude sadly doesn’t understand why he got arrested. I personally think he needs a psychiatric evaluation but that is my opinion.

I don’t have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Idiot Neighbor Pulled Fire Alarm, Again

Good Fucking Morning, World!!! Hell, it’s barely after midnight here in Seattle and my stupid ass neighbor pulled the fire alarm again because a different neighbor from last night was not wearing their mask in the common areas of the apartment building. As much as I wish people would wear their mask that is NOT a FUCKING reason to pull the fire alarm.

The firefighters are just as angry as we neighbors are because this idiot at least admits he pulls the alarm but all the fire department can do is fine the asshole and asshole isn’t paying the fines. The fucking Seattle Police can’t do shit because puling the fire alarm when it is not an emergency is only a misdemeanor and the cops aren’t arresting those with misdemeanors because the fucking county jail are accepting misdemeanor arrest due to this stupid ass pandemic know as Covid-19. All I want is some fucking sleep.

Not only does the fire alarm affect me and my neighbors it affects the animals in the building including my cat, Billie. He is one very unhappy camper when the fire alarm goes off and I don’t blame him. He just doesn’t exactly understand what is happening and why he needs to put into his carrier and leave the apartment which is his home. I feel really bad for my cat, Billie Dean as well as the other animals in this building.

Well this rant of a blog post is over with. I don’t have anything else to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

No, Going Back to Sleep for Me

Happy Holidays, World!!! It is 6:03am in the blasted morning and I was finally getting back to sleep after Billie Dean, my cat woke me up. I was almost a sleep and Billie was asleep snoring when the building fire alarm went of. One of my neighbors decided to put the fire alarm pull station again because another neighbor wasn’t not wearing mask. This isn’t the first time this neighbor has pulled the fire alarm pull station when neighbors haven’t been wearing mask. The neighbor who does this pulls it because he wants the fire department to talk with the neighbors who don’t wear mask because of Covid-19. The only thing it is doing is making all the neighbors and the firefighters angry at this particular neighbor. I understand wanting others to wear mask due to the global pandemic but it’s common sense that you don’t pull the fire alarm for someone is not wearing a mask.

The thing is the fire alarm causes my anxiety and my PTSD symptoms to increase. It causes my anxiety to increase because I have to make sure I get my cat, Billie in his carrier and put on my shoes and jacket as well as remembering my keys and wallet as a blaring fire alarm with a strobe light going off. The alarm going off increases my PTSD because, I have been in three fires in my life; two as a child and one as an adult. It’s no fun dealing with PTSD of any kind but it takes me a while to finally get back to an okay place after the building fire alarm goes off.

Well, I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. I appreciate all of you. Happy Holidays and Peace Out, World!!!

UGH!!! Why Can’t They Just Fix The Damn Thing?

Good Afternoon, World!!! I am quite frustrated at the fucking moment. I am frustrated because the building fire alarm is malfunctioning once again. I just don’t understand why the building management won’t actually fix the damn thing. The fire alarm malfunctions multiple times a month and sadly the entire fire alarm system has been replace three times in the eleven years I have lived here.

The worst thing about it going off this time around is that I was in the freaking shower. There is nothing more annoying than a fire alarm starting to malfunction as you are taking a shower. When the alarm started going off, I quickly got out of the shower, dried off as best as I can and got dressed. I, then put my cat, Lil Gertie, in her carrier and exited the building as I wasn’t sure if there was actually a fire and another malfunction. Thankfully, there was no fire but it sure is frustrating that it was yet another malfunction.

Through all this the fire department called the building management after hours number as nobody is in the office in the evenings or on the weekends. The firefighters are getting quite frustrated with the situation. When the firefighters finally reached someone they were informed that it could take “a few hours to get there.” Well, the firefighter talking with person from management got extremely upset and said “someone needs to be here in a half an hour or less or the fine will double if not triple the amount depending of what the fire marshal decides. Needless to say someone from the building management was here in about fifteen minutes and then about twenty minutes later someone from the maintenance team was here.

More or less all this took about an hour and I am finally back in my apartment. My cat is extremely happy to be out of her carrier and back in the apartment. Hell, I am happy to be back in my apartment. I am now planning on taking another shower as I was unable to finish my last shower due the fire alarm malfunction.

I do not have much more to say as I don’t want to get myself angry as I am frustrated at the moment due to the situation mentioned in this post. Thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things. Peace Out, World!!!

Sleepless in Seattle, For Many People

Happy Friday, World!!! Well, not a good start to a Friday for myself and my neighbors as well as our pets which many of the pets are emotional support animals because one of the neighbors is having some major symptoms of their mental health challenge as they keep pulling the pull stations to set off the building fire alarm.

As mentioned in my last post my neighbors and I decided to have a sleep over that includes our pets. Out pets that happen to be emotional support animals. The animals have be quite helpful as well as being able to share a common experience with not being able to sleep due to the fire alarm being continuously set of by someone pulling the pull stations.

The police and the firefighters are just as annoyed as we are. They finally figured out who was pulling the fire alarm pull stations and is sending that neighbor to the hospital to put them on a seventy two hour hold as it is obvious that their mental health challenges are acting up severely.

As far as the sleepover, it is going off well. People and pets are all doing well. It is nice to have neighbors who are going through the same thing to help deal with the stress of the constant pulling of fire alarms. Hopefully it will stop now as the person who was pulling the pull stations are on their way to the hospital to get evaluated to be put on a seventy two hour hold.

I should get going and try to get some sleep as I desperately need it. I hope I am not blogging to much that you my readers are getting bored with what I am writing about. I hope everyone has a good Friday. Peace Out, World!!!

Annoyance of the Fire Alarms Being Pulled For No Reason

Good Evening, World. Well it’s late evening and one of my neighbors is thinking it will be fun to annoy their neighbors and their pets by pulling the pull stations to set off the building fire alarm.

As it wasn’t annoying enough that the management company did fire alarm testing earlier today which freaked me out but freaked out my cat, Lil Gertie. I don’t need my poor cat in distress again do to some idiot of a neighbor who wants to play a prank by continuously pulling the fire alarm pull stations. It’s not making very many people very happy with the person.

On a plus note my neighbors and I planning on making the best of the situation. We don’t know what the best is going to be yet as it is still in the works. I just know plans are in the works to make a bad situation into a good situation.

On a side note the police and firefighters are getting a little annoyed with having to keep coming out due to someone pulling the fire alarm pull stations just for fun. I don’t think its fun nor funny when it triggers me and freaks out my poor cat, Lil Gertie.

I should get going and help plan with my neighbors on what we plan on doing to help settle our nerves and anxieties with the frequent fire alarms going off.

Thank you for reading my blog. It is much appreciated. I hope everyone gets a good night sleep. Have a good night. Peace Out, World!!!

There Are No Cats In America

It’s Friday night and I am watching one of my favorite childhood movies, An American Tale. Watching this movie brings back a lot of happy memories for me. For people who dealt with horrific childhood trauma having a happy memory is a good thing. That’s why I titled this blog There Are No Cats In America. See one of the songs in An American Tail is titled There Are Cats In America and it so happens it’s my favorite song in the movie. I do have to say another song that I like from this movie is Somewhere Out There. In fact that song brings tears to my eyes. I really enjoy watching movies.

I’m looking at the time and in 1 minute it will officially be Saturday. Besides watching movies this weekend, I will be reading. I will be reading A Tale of Two Cities as well as a bunch of Wonder Woman comic books. I plan on having a nice relaxing weekend. I love reading and watching movies.

Well, Its officially, Saturday, and unfortunately I wont be spending most of today with my boyfriend. The reason being is that he is a Firefighter and his shifts are 24 hours. His shift starts at 7:30 am (pacific time) and ends at 7:30 am (pacific time) the next morning.  He leaves at 7am this morning (Saturday) that means he wont be back till 8 am (pacific time) Sunday morning. With him not being home that means I will be able to do a lot of reading like I mentioned earlier.

I am happy with my life. I am happy that I am with a partner that treats me right. I’m happy that he is established in his career as firefighter. I’m even more happier that I am in career that gives me meaning in my life. I really enjoy working as Consumer Aide in a mental health agency. Granted its not the exact position I would like but its a foot in the door. I love the fact that I am in the mental health field and that I can show others on what recovery from mental illness looks like. I’m happy that my boyfriend and I are in careers that we love and were meant to be in. I am beyond happy that my life is finally coming together even through the struggles of everyday life as well as the struggles with symptoms that like to pop up from time to time.

I should get going and finish watching An American Tail. Well have a good Friday night /Saturday Morning everyone. Don’t let the bed bugs bite. Good night and Peace Out!!!!!!!

It’s Been An Interesting Day

Good Monday Evening!!! Today has been an interesting day. On my bus ride to my appointment with my therapist, a fellow passenger passed out because he was so drunk. Of course the bus driver had to stop the bus and check on the dude. The bus driver had to call the police as well as the fire department. The police showed up as well as the fire engine and paramedics. As the firefighters were trying to help the drunk dude came to and hit one of them. The police then tackled the guy and with the help of the paramedics and other firefighters he was handcuffed to the gurney and put in the back of the ambulance. Of course myself and the other passengers had to give witness statements to the police. Finally after everyone gave their statement the bus was on its way again. I got off at my bus stop and walked about a half mile to my appointment. On the walk from the bus stop to my appointment I found $20. Finding money is a rare thing for me.

I of course made it to my appointment with my therapist on time. In fact I was 45 minutes early. I’m usually an hour early due to OCD tendencies. While waiting for my therapy appointment the admin assistant got me my stuffed Eeyore that I have my therapist hold for me so when I am waiting to see her I can hold on to him. My stuffed Eeyore also sits in on my sessions with me because its easier to talk with a stuffed animal to hold. As I was holding Eeyore, in the waiting room I pulled out a Wonder Woman graphic novel to read. If you are a regular reader or follower of my blog you know I am a huge Wonder Woman fan. About 15 minutes before my session an old high school friend walks into the waiting room of the mental health clinic I see my therapist at. This high school friend was seeking therapy for the first time in her life. She of course was seeing a different clinician. It was nice to “catch up” with an old friend.

My session with my therapist Diana was quite draining. We discussed what happened on the bus then I pulled out 3 copies of what I wanted to go into my treatment plan. Of course many of things I want to work on can be condensed and we did that. In fact it was getting a bit overwhelming for me. We had to take a break from it and we talked about why it was overwhelming. I had come to the conclusion that I’ve been defined by my mental illness so long that it scares me what it would be like to not be “crazy.” Diana my therapist says that I’ve dealt with my mental illness for so long that now that I am walking in recovery I’m learning what its like to not be “crazy.” She also says that I’m in the process of redefining on who I am. She is absolutely correct. I am redefining who I am. Recovery from a mental illness is difficult work. I still have a great deal to work through so I am no where done with needing treatment but I am an active participant in my treatment planning. I still have to work through all the trauma I’ve been through when I was a child as well as an adult. That’s going to be a long process. So Diana and I still need to finish working my treatment/recovery plan and we both hope that we can continue to work on in in the next session next Monday. I never knew how draining it would be. Working on changing for the better is not only draining and difficult but a good thing. (Side Note: Diana is a pseudonym for my therapist)

So after my therapy appointment I took the bus home. Thankfully nothing eventful happened on my bus ride home. In fact on my bus ride home, I read A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. I am really enjoying the book. It’s going to take me awhile to read it due to my dyslexia but that is okay with me. Like I’ve said before, I enjoy reading.

As I am blogging right now, I am at my boyfriends house. He is fixing me dinner. He is a good cook. Not as good as my grandma but good enough. He cooks better than me and I love to cook. Hell, my boyfriend loves to cook as well. He learned to cook from his mom. I learned to cook from my dad and grandma. My paternal grandpa is not a very good cook. My maternal grandpa was an awesome cook. Anyway, my boyfriend is making me spaghetti. I love spaghetti. I should get going. I want to see if my boyfriend will let me help him finish cooking. After dinner we are going to watch a movie. Not sure what movie but it’s going to be a comedy.

Well, I best be going. I hope to blog again tomorrow. Have a good rest of the evening. Enjoy the rest of your Monday. Well at least enjoy the 4 hours that’s left of Monday. Peace out and enjoy life.
