Weekly Check-In

Good Evening, World!!! It is that time of week where I do my weekly check-in with you the reader to let you know how my week was. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this week has been one hell of a week for the week just like the weather has here in Seattle. Hell was certainly freezing over at the beginning of the week with its frigid temperatures. I am just grateful it did snow in the city of Seattle or at least it didn’t in my neighborhood.

Besides starting off the week with frigid cold temperatures, I went to the University of Washington women’s basketball game with my grandpa. My grandpa appeared to enjoy himself and I am beyond grateful that I was able to take him. I love being able to make memories with my family especially my grandpa.

Since we are now on the topic family, it was officially medically confirmed that I am now pregnant. I found this out yesterday and I am scared as hell however I am also ecstatic. Junior is also thrilled. I see the OBGYN on Tuesday and I am eager to hear what the plan will be.

I do not have much more to write about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be continuing to write on my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Daily Prompt; What Are Your Favorite Sports to Watch and Play?

Bloganuary writing prompt
What are your favorite sports to watch and play?

I enjoy watching most sports but if I have to pick a favorite sport to watch it would be a tie between baseball and track & field. Both sports are completely different to watch yet very fun to watch. I love the strategy that goes into both sports.

If I have to choose a sport to participate in it would be dodge ball. I realize some people don’t think dodge ball is a sport but trust me it is. I am on a dodge ball team for fun all year around for adults. I have fun with this and have met some very nice people who have become great friends. Yes, this team competes against other teams and I have a blast.

Caturday with Billie the Kat

Happy Caturday, World!!! I have decided to start posting pictures of my cat and on occasions other cats on Saturdays as who doesn’t love to look at pictures of cats. For those who are site impaired or blind I will do a caption on the photo as WordPress allows folks to do this on their blog.

Billie enjoying some chin scratches.
Billie wondering why I stopped scratching his chin.
Billie intently looking out the window at some birds.
Billie giving me the side eye.

Well, that is it for this weeks pictures of the cuteness of my cat Billie. I hope you enjoy the pictures. Peace Out, World!!!

A Bundle Of Nerves With A Bun In The Oven

Good Evening, World!!! As of right now I am a mixture of emotions. I had my annual exam this morning and thankfully my partner was able to come with me as I struggle with the annual exam due to trauma. Junior, my partner, also came for another reason which was to medically confirm if I was pregnant as the two take home tests I took last week said I was. My doctor did medically confirm that I am pregnant and that I am about eight weeks pregnant. My doctor also made me an appointment with the OBGYN in the same clinic as my doctor is in, for next Tuesday. Of course Junior will be coming with me. Needless to say we are both scared shitless and ecstatic.

I do not have much more to write about in this particular blog post with the exception that I will keep you all updated about the pregnancy. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be continuing to write on my blog. Daily Prompt; Do You Play in Your Daily Life? What says “Playtime” to You?

Bloganuary writing prompt
Do you play in your daily life? What says “playtime” to you?

I am learning to set time aside as an adult to play. To me play means being able to act like a child and have fun while still being an adult with responsibility. Being connected to your inner child is a good thing especially if your childhood was full of trauma. I struggle with connecting to my inner child due to childhood trauma so “playing” is something I try to do. Playtime looks differently each day. Sometimes it is going to the park and swinging on a swing, while other times you can be waking up early on a Saturday and watching cartoons you grew up with as you eat a bowl of cereal. There are other things that I do for “playtime” but I don’t think I can mention it as it is X rated and something I do with my partner.

The Purple Flute

Good Evening, World!!! I am feeling really loved and appreciated as Junior did something very special for me. He bought me a purple flute and it was delivered to me today. I didn’t know it was coming until this morning when Junior informed me to be expecting a package. He would not tell me what it was till I opened it. I was and still am shocked as hell when I opened up the package. I am so thrilled that I have a brand new flute and that it is purple. Now, if I can just get the old flute fixed I will be even happier as then I would have two flutes to play.

My brand new purple flute.

Anxiety Over Tomorrow’s Doctor’s Appointment

Good Afternoon, World!!! I am nervous as hell for tomorrow morning as I have my yearly annual wellness exam with my doctor tomorrow. I am scared due to trauma related issues that my doctor is quite aware of. I am also scared and full of anxiety due to the fact that my doctor will confirm something medically which is why I am having my partner Junior come with me. It is something he would like medically confirmed as well.

Anyway, I am sadly having intrusive thought ping ponging in my head at the moment and it is not a good thing which is partly why I am currently writing this blog post. Blogging tends to help with the ping ponging of my thoughts as well as help with anxiety I deal with. I am just happy that I have various skills in my tool box to help with the anxiety.

Daily Prompt; What is Your Favorite Animal?

Bloganuary writing prompt
What is your favorite animal?

It is extremely challenging for me to just have one favorite animal so I will share with you my two favorite animals. One of my favorite animals are cats. If you read my blog regularly you know that I love cats as I have one of my own as well as volunteering at an animal shelter that adopts out cats. Cats are amazing animals.

Another favorite animal of mine is the orca whale. They are beautiful and magnificent animals. Sadly, they are on the endangered list and I really wish they were not. They are smart.

Hump Day Update

Good Evening, World!!! It is Wednesday which means it is time for a mid week update or what I like to call it; Hump Day Update. The only thing I really have to update you on is something I want to confirm with my doctor first and I see her for my annual wellness check this Friday. Overall, things are going relatively well. Things with Junior are going quite well and my mom is quite happy that we are back together. Of course my dad and grandpa “approve” of Junior because he has always treated me well.

I do not have much more to update you on in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. Daily Prompt; What Would You Do if You Won the Lottery?

Bloganuary writing prompt
What would you do if you won the lottery?

The first thing I would do if I won the lottery is pay off my debts as being in debt sucks sh!t. I have both medical and credit card debt and it would be nice to not to worry about owing money.

After paying off debt I would love to buy me a new home. I would love to own a house however I would be happy owning a condo. Owning my own home would be amazing for me as I don’t ever see myself owning my own home unless a miracle like winning the lottery.

Another thing I would like to do is get a college education. I would love to get my four year degree in Applied Behavioral Science at Seattle Central College which is a two year college. Ultimately this would be a cheaper route and the route I would love to do. I would also like to get my Master’s of Social Work (MSW) if that is in the budget to do after winning the lottery. If I have the chance to ever get my MSW I would love to get it from the University of Washington.

One of the other things I would love to do if I ever won the lottery is get my passport to travel. I would love to travel to Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Germany. I would also like to travel within the United States via train to various cities and towns.

The other thing I would really love to do is increase the amount of money I donate to a local animal shelter that adopts out dogs and cats as well as some rehabilitation for wildlife. Any organization that does rehabilitation for wild animals as well as adopts out cats and dogs is an organization worth giving money to.
