Middle of the Night Struggles

Good Morning, World!!! It is one seventeen in the morning here in Seattle and I am struggling. I am struggling with the lack of sleep. The lack of sleep is due to insomnia and PTSD. The lack of sleep is also causing me to struggle more with my PTSD and some increased depression symptoms. Both the depression and PTSD is causing some anxiety and anger. Neither emotion is an emotion I like to deal with. Hell, I try my best to avoid both emotions.

On the note of emotions, I have been using the coping skills in the Emotional Regulation module of Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT). These skills are very helpful for me especially right now. In fact, all the DBT skill in all four modules are helpful for me. As I do my DBT skills I remember that when I made an active choice to be in active mental health recovery it was when I decided to be in an intensive outpatient DBT program and that gives me hope that things will get better, and this too will pass.

I do not have anything else to discuss or share or to write about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog I would not be continuing to write my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Finally Got Sleep

Good Morning, World!!! It is 10:09 in the morning here in Seattle and it is a beautiful sunny day outside. I also finally got some much-needed sleep which is something I needed since I will be doing volunteer shift with Alley Cat Project and PAWS Cat City.

Oh, how I love to be able to give of my time to nonprofit organizations especially ones that help cats. I really enjoy giving my time especially when it comes to helping cats as I am a huge cat lover. I also love that my volunteer positions at Alley Cat Project and PAWS Cat City are completely different yet gives me a similar skill set for future volunteer jobs as well as future paid employment.

Speaking of employment, I had a job interview this past Tuesday which I thought did not go so very well. It apparently went better than expected as I received an email yesterday asking for references. I take being asked for references after a job interview as a good sign and I really hope it is a good sign. I really would like this job.

Still No Sleep for Me

Good Morning, World!!! It is five forty in the morning here in Seattle and I still have not slept which royally sucks. I really wish I could sleep. Sleep is important to a person’s physical health as well as a person’s mental health and hope I get some sleep, so it does not start affecting my health or wellbeing.

Not only am dealing with no sleep due to insomnia and PTSD, but I am also dealing with some depression symptoms. Just like I mentioned in my last post I have been working on some workbooks to help me with the symptoms of my mental health challenges. Learning new coping skills and building on the coping skills that I have learned throughout the years in my recovery only helps me even more in my recovery journey. As tired as I am, I am grateful that I have the time to learn new coping skills through the recovery related workbooks that I am doing.

PTSD + Insomnia = No Sleep

Good Morning, World!!! It is two thirty-four in the morning here in Seattle. I am sadly unable to sleep. I am unable to due to PTSD and insomnia which sucks but it is something that I have dealt with in the past. As much as it sucks, I am also realizing that I am fighting some depression symptoms which makes the no sleep thing with PTSD and insomnia suckier than it should be.

Since I am dealing with little sleep due to insomnia and PTSD as well as dealing with increased depression symptoms, I have decided to do some recovery related workbooks. Workbooks that are helping me learn new skills as well as helping me build more resiliency in my life. I am glad that I do workbooks to help myself with my recovery as the skills I learn helps build on what I have already learned in my recovery. For me my recovery is one of the most important things in my life.

I do not have anything else to discuss or share or to write about in this particular blog post except that I wish I could sleep and didn’t have to deal with insomnia, depression and PTSD.

Middle of the Night Ramblings

Good Morning, World!!! It is three thirty-three in the morning here in Seattle. I am sadly unable to sleep partly due to insomnia and partly due taking a late (and long) nap yesterday evening. I normally would care if I took a long nap in late evening, but I am glad I took mine yesterday evening due to being woken but by the storm at two sixteen in the morning, yesterday.

Since I am unable to sleep, I decided to do some artwork and listen to a podcast. The type of artwork that I am doing is coloring. I started a new gigantic coloring page of a mandala. I love coloring especially mandala’s. As I colored, I listened to a podcast. A podcast about philosophy. The podcast about philosophy that I listened to is Philosophize This. I am really enjoying this podcast and learning about philosophy.

I do not have anything else to discuss or write about in this particular blog post except I want to get back to coloring and listening to a podcast. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be continuing to write my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

A Sleepless Night in Seattle

Good Morning, World!!! It is two sixteen in the morning here in Seattle and I am unable to sleep. I so wish I could sleep especially since I am not feeling very well. I am grateful that I got a good night of sleep last night but sadly having two nights of a good night of sleep was not in the stars (pun intended).

Since I am unable to sleep, I decided to get up and work on some artwork. The type of artwork that I am choosing to do in the middle of the night is diamond art/painting. I am working on the diamond art/painting of the tuxedo cat in a tree that I started a couple of days ago. I am really happy that my neighbor introduced to me diamond art/painting as I really enjoy dong them.

As I do diamond art/painting my cat, Billie is in lap sleeping as I listen to a podcast. In fact, I am listening to a podcast on philosophy. The philosophy podcast that I am listening to is Philosophize This. I really enjoy this podcast and learning about philosophy this way. Hell, this podcast has gotten me interested in philosophy and to read books on philosophy.

I do not have anything else to discuss or write about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be continuing to write my blog. I Got a Good Night of Sleep!!!

Good Morning, World!!! I surprisingly got a good night of sleep last night. Part of me wonders if the reason why I got a good night of sleep is because I am still not feeling well. I am grateful for the good night of sleep and I wish I didn’t have to be sick to have gotten a good night of sleep.

On the note, the weather doesn’t look as yucky as it was yesterday or at least that is what it looks like when I look out my window. Then it again it is still dark outside. Let’s hope that the weather is not as yucky as yesterday as the day progresses.

No matter what the weather is today, I am not going to do much of anything because I am still not feeling well. I probably will just be staying home and cuddle with my cat, Billie. I love being able to spend time with my cat, Billie. I am grateful that I have my cat, Billie in my life. He has made my life so much easier to cope with the challenging times in my life.

Speaking of cats, I am planning on continuing to work on the diamond art/painting that I started on yesterday of a tuxedo cat in a tree. Part of the reason I chose this particular diamond art/painting is because it is a tuxedo cat and my cat, Billie is a tuxedo cat. I really enjoy doing diamond art/painting and I am so very happy that my neighbor introduced me to this particular form of art.

After A Good Nap, It’s Time for A Good Book

Good Evening, World!!! It is seven twenty-nine in the evening here in Seattle and the weather is still yucky. With the weather being so yucky and me not feeling well I decided to take a nap after my last blog post. I am glad I took the nap despite sleeping longer than I had hoped to. I know I needed the sleep, and I hope that I have not created a not so good sleep cycle for myself.

Now that I am wide awake, I think I am going to read the book in a six-book series. In fact, it is part of the Fire and Brimstone series by Nikole Knight. I am so happy that I picked this book series out because I was just going off of what the back of the book said, and I read it online. So, I bought all six books on a whim after reading something about the first book online.

I do not have anything else to discuss or write about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be continuing to write my blog. Wide Awake at 2:34 in the Morning

Good Morning, World!!! It is two thirty-four in the morning here in Seattle. After my last blog poste yesterday, things didn’t go as I had planned but that is okay. I had planned to do a diamond art/painting of a tuxedo cat in a tree, but I got sidetracked. I got sidetracked by deciding to learn how to use a PowerPoint. Yes, I know it’s a little late in the game to learn how, but it never hurts to learn. I am teaching myself to use PowerPoint because I am wanting to present a conference that is solely focused on peer specialist. The cool thing I am learning about PowerPoint is can actually get creative with using it and I think that is awesome.

After starting to learn how to use PowerPoint, I realized that I needed to take a nap as I was tired as hell. Needless to say, I am now wide awake. I truly didn’t mean to sleep for so long especially since it was supposed to be a nap and not an average night of sleep for me.

Now that I am wide awake from an extra-long nap, I plan on doing some artwork. The type of artwork I am going to work on is a diamond art/painting project. The diamond art/painting I am doing is that of a tuxedo cat in tree. I picked this diamond art/painting because my cat, Billie is a tuxedo cat. Yes, that means I am very partial to tuxedo cats.

Maybe it is a good thing that I am doing diamond art/painting because the weather is yucky in Seattle right now. Yes, I know it is the middle of the night, but the weather is supposed to get worse as the day goes on. I’m not a big fan of yucky weather but it does make a great excuse to stay inside.

I do not have much else to discuss or write about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be continuing to write my blog. Insomnia Strikes Again

Good Morning, World!!! It is a few minutes after two o’clock in the morning here in Seattle. I am sadly unable to sleep again due to insomnia. I am not a big fan of not being able to sleep as getting a good night’s sleep is crucial both physical health and mental health.

Speaking of mental health, since I am unable to sleep, I have been working on a recovery related workbook. I find that working on recovery related workbooks help me with my recovery and allows me to look inward on how I can improve myself and lessen the symptoms of my mental health challenges. The recovery related workbooks also helps me in between session with my therapist.

In addition to working on recovery related workbooks, I have been reading. I am reading the second book in a dark queer fantasy series. I am really enjoying the book as well as the series. Reading helps me get out of my head and is a way for me to focus on something other than my current problems.

I do not have much more to discuss or write about in this particular except that I am going to curl up with my cat, Billie and read.
