Evening Ramblings

Good Evening, World!!! It has been an afternoon and evening of keeping my mind busy. Busy with various activities that can keep the brain sharp and busy. I actually started and finished a logic puzzle or problem or whatever you want to call it. I am very proud of myself for completing a logic puzzle and hope that I can do at least one a week. Logic problems can be a bit challenging which is why I am giving myself a week to do one and that I am surprised that I completed one in one day.

I also have done a handful of sudoku puzzles. I love doing sudoku puzzles and I do at least two a day. Today, I did eleven sudoku puzzles which a lot of them and I feel accomplished doing that many of them. I like the fact that sudoku puzzles keep my mind sharp and help me stay focused.

I also worked on two recovery related workbooks. Workbooks that I am learning new things about myself and recovery as well as new skills to help myself. I also hope to being able to purchase an extra workbook of both of the workbooks I worked on today so, I can have group around them when I get a job as a peer specialist. I am the type of person who will do a workbook before creating a group around it as I want to make sure I know what I am talking about as well as making sure that it could be helpful. Anyway, that two workbooks I worked on have been helpful for me and I know one of them was helpful for a friend as it was suggested by her for me to do the one she did.

I do not have anything else to discuss or share or to write about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog I would not be continuing to write my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Afternoon Ramblings

Good Afternoon, World!!! I have some good news regarding the job interview I had yesterday. I was emailed this morning asking to give references and I, of course, emailed my references and now it is the waiting game to see if I got the job. I really would like this job especially since I think it will be a good fit for me, my recovery and will help with building resiliency in myself.

Speaking of resiliency, I am doing a recovery related workbook on resiliency. Part of recovery with a mental health challenge is building resiliency and able to continue to be resilient no matter what life throws at you. Trust me when I say life has thrown me a lot of shit the last few months especially with the fact that both parents died within two months of each other. Resiliency is something everyone has and can build on.

I am just grateful that my resiliency and my recovery with a mental health challenge is why I am getting back into the workforce. A workforce that is part of my career choice as being a peer support specialist. A peer specialist is someone who is recovery from a substance use disorder (SUD) and/or a mental health challenge. A peer specialist offers hope to people they are helping along their recovery journey.

Diamond Painting Slowly Progressing

Good Afternoon, World!!! If you read my blog on the regular basis, you know that I am really enjoy doing diamond art/painting. In fact, I have been working on this particular diamond art/painting since this past Saturday, and it is Wednesday. The diamond art/painting that I am doing is one of a tuxedo cat in a tree. As I have mentioned in previous blog post, I chose this particular diamond art/painting because my own cat, Billie is a tuxedo cat. It is my plan to share a picture of the progress I am making on the diamond art/painting I am working on.

(So, if you are sight impair or blind I will be adding captions to the pictures I will be posting.) The pictures are following this sentence:

The diamond art/painting of a tuxedo cat in a tree that I am doing is slowly progressing.

Dealing With My Anger

Good Morning, World (again)!!! This is my third blog post in a matter of a four and a half hour time period. If you read my last blog post, you know why I am so freaking angry. After my last blog post, I tried to go to sleep but sadly my anger got in the way of me sleeping.

Since anger got in the way of me sleeping, I decided to journal about my anger. Journaling or writing about my anger is quite helpful for me and my mental health recovery journey. The reason journaling is about my anger is helpful for my recovery journey, it is because I tend to stuff my anger. When I stuff my anger, it tends to boil, and I end up emotionally exploding on people or I end up self-harming. Thankfully, I have not self-harmed in so long that I don’t remember that last time I did it which is good thing. Sadly, I have emotionally exploded and on people that I love and care about. So, journaling about my anger is form of harm reduction for me. Journaling about anger is a form of harm reduction for me because it allows me to not stuff my emotions as well as to emotionally explode on paper and not with people. Not emotionally exploding on people is a good thing.

After being done with emotionally exploding on paper I decided to do some artwork. The type of artwork I decided to do was diamond art/painting. It is the same diamond art/painting that I have been working on for the last few days which is the tuxedo cat in a tree. Doing diamond art/painting is a long process that teaches patience to people who don’t have any and is very enjoyable to do. I really love doing diamond art/painting because it is fun and is teaching me patience.

I do not have anything else to discuss or write about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be continuing to write my blog. A Bit Pissed at the Moment

Good Morning, World!!! It is almost five o’clock in the morning here in Seattle and I am a bit pissed at the moment. I am pissed due to the fact that right after I posted my last blog post a neighbor in crisis decided the building fire alarm. I, of course evacuated my apartment with my cat, Billie. As my neighbors and were evacuating the building many of us saw this neighbor throw his cat out his seventh-floor apartment. Sadly, the cat did not make it. Anyway, Seattle fire department showed due to the fire alarm, and they called Seattle police.

The police showed up right as the neighbor in crisis decided to throw pool balls through the first-floor community windows which are double pained. Sadly, one of the pool balls ended up hitting another neighbor in the head. She went to the hospital to get medically evaluated and is planning on pressing charges against the neighbor in crisis as this isn’t first time he has done something like this. Sadly, I heard a Seattle police officer discourage this neighbor from pressing charges due to the other “neighbor being in crisis.” This is why I am pissed as hell especially at the Seattle police officer who said that. Why should my neighbor who got hurt by the neighbor in crisis be discouraged from pressing charges?

Anyway, long story short as of this writing of this particular blog post, my neighbors and I are allowed back in our apartments as the neighbor in crisis is in front of the building in handcuffs screaming at the Seattle police officers. From what I am understanding the neighbor in crisis going to the hospital to get a psych evaluation. As far as the neighbor in crisis dead cat, the Seattle Animal Control is investigating and planning on pressing charges for animal cruelty.

Middle of the Night Ramblings

Good Morning, World!!! It is three thirty-three in the morning here in Seattle. I am sadly unable to sleep partly due to insomnia and partly due taking a late (and long) nap yesterday evening. I normally would care if I took a long nap in late evening, but I am glad I took mine yesterday evening due to being woken but by the storm at two sixteen in the morning, yesterday.

Since I am unable to sleep, I decided to do some artwork and listen to a podcast. The type of artwork that I am doing is coloring. I started a new gigantic coloring page of a mandala. I love coloring especially mandala’s. As I colored, I listened to a podcast. A podcast about philosophy. The podcast about philosophy that I listened to is Philosophize This. I am really enjoying this podcast and learning about philosophy.

I do not have anything else to discuss or write about in this particular blog post except I want to get back to coloring and listening to a podcast. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be continuing to write my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Update on Job Interview

Hello, World!!! I just wanted to update you on my job interview. It went okay. Yes, just okay. I also could have done a lot better job in the interview. In fact, my cat, Billie even attempted to answer a couple of questions for me and one of the interviewers said, “kitty we don’t speak cat, so we need Gertie to answer the question.” I and the other interviewers laughed. This did break the ice a little. I just wish I had more faith in myself especially since I really want this job.

I do not have anything else to discuss or write about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be continuing to write my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Stormy Weather + Anxiety About Job Interview = Doing Diamond Painting

Good Morning, World!!! It is still quite stormy here in Seattle. May people have lost power. Thankfully, I have not lost power, and I hope I have not just jinxed myself. I hope I didn’t just jinx myself because I have a virtual job interview on Zoom. Having a virtual job interview on Zoom, one must have electricity and working internet. So, I am hoping that I don’t lose power because I really want to do this job interview as I really want this job, and this windy weather is causing me anxiety about not being able to do it.

To help combat the anxiety I am having regarding the job interview, I am planning to do some artwork. The type of artwork I am doing is diamond art/painting. The diamond art/painting that I am doing is the one with the tuxedo cat in a tree. I am glad I chose this particular diamond art/painting because it reminds me of my own tuxedo cat, Billie. I am also very happy that a neighbor introduced me to diamond art/painting. I really enjoy doing diamond art/painting.

I do not have anything else to discuss or write about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be continuing to write my blog. Seattle Windstorm = Possibility of No Electricity

Good Morning, World!!! It is five thirteen in the morning here in Seattle and it has been extremely windy and rainy. This wind is no joke and is causing some major power outages. Thankfully, I still have power but that does not mean I will not lose power as it is very likely especially since my lights have been flickering on and off for the majority of the night.

Since I am worried about the electricity going out, I decided to put away my diamond art/painting stuff and brought out my coloring stuff out. The reason why I did this is because if the electricity does go out, it easier to color with my crappy old battery-operated lantern and two good flashlights than it is to do diamond art/painting. Doing diamond art/painting in poor lighting is my challenging to do than coloring.

I am having some anxiety over the electricity going out. The reason being is that if it does go out there is a chance it will not get fixed in time for my job interview later today. My job interview is virtual and is over Zoom which is the reason why I am anxious about the power going out.

I do not have anything else to discuss or write about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be continuing to write my blog. A Sleepless Night in Seattle

Good Morning, World!!! It is two sixteen in the morning here in Seattle and I am unable to sleep. I so wish I could sleep especially since I am not feeling very well. I am grateful that I got a good night of sleep last night but sadly having two nights of a good night of sleep was not in the stars (pun intended).

Since I am unable to sleep, I decided to get up and work on some artwork. The type of artwork that I am choosing to do in the middle of the night is diamond art/painting. I am working on the diamond art/painting of the tuxedo cat in a tree that I started a couple of days ago. I am really happy that my neighbor introduced to me diamond art/painting as I really enjoy dong them.

As I do diamond art/painting my cat, Billie is in lap sleeping as I listen to a podcast. In fact, I am listening to a podcast on philosophy. The philosophy podcast that I am listening to is Philosophize This. I really enjoy this podcast and learning about philosophy this way. Hell, this podcast has gotten me interested in philosophy and to read books on philosophy.

I do not have anything else to discuss or write about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be continuing to write my blog.
