Weekly Check-In

Good Evening, World!!! It has been an uneventful week. I ended up not doing much except volunteer at PAWS Cat City and Alley Cat Project. I haven’t done much of anything as I have been isolating. I didn’t even go to the Mariner’s game this past Wednesday due to depression and isolation.

On a good note Junior and I have been hanging out together all day, today. We will be going to the University of Washington (UW) Husky football game. We will head over in about a half hour as it is only one stop away on the light rail and it starts at 8pm. Thankfully, Junior and I live not to far from the light rail station. I am looking forward to the game.

I don’t have much more to say in this weekly check in. I do hope to take pictures of the husky game and share them with you. Thank you for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Photography: Developing Your Eye I; Day Four: Bliss

Good Morning, World!!! Today’s topic is bliss. For me attending baseball games is bliss. It brings back positive childhood memories. I, sadly don’t live in the area of my favorite team, The Angels but I still get to see them play when they come to Seattle when they play against the Mariners. I feel like a little kid when I attend a baseball game and enjoy being surrounded by fellow baseball fans. I miss baseball. For those who are sight impaired I have added a caption to the picture and hope that you are able to read it because WordPress gives you the option to add it to the photo.

The Angels playing the Mariners at Safeco Field now known as T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Washington. Not sure if you could tell but that Angels are at bat.

Missing the Boys of Summer

Good Afternoon, World!!! It is difficult for me to comprehend that there is no baseball right now. Not actually difficult to comprehend but wishing that the pandemic of Covid-19 wasn’t happening. Nobody knows at this point in time if there will even be a baseball season even if it is a shortened season. One can hope for a shortened season but the reality is we don’t know due to the pandemic and the teams versus the owners at the moment.

I miss attending baseball games even if my favorite team is usually the visiting team as I live in enemy territory of Seattle and I am an Angels fan. If you are not familiar with baseball, the Angels are a team that is located in Anaheim, California. I live in Seattle, Washington which is home to the Seattle Mariners. So, that means when I want to see the Angels play in person, I will most likely see them play against the Mariners here in Seattle as I don’t have money to travel to Anaheim to see the Angels play. When I go to a Mariners game when they play against my home town team, the Angels, I am not afraid to wear my Angel gear. I am die hard Angel fan even when I am living in enemy territory like Seattle.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do, however, want to thank you all for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. Again, thank you all from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. I hope everyone is having a great Monday. I also hope everyone has an awesome work week ahead of them. Before I go, and I realize baseball isn’t currently being played I want to say: GO ANGELS!!! Peace Out, World!!!

Two Strong Advocates For Mental Health

Good Evening, World!!! I am going to be posting more about the conference I went to earlier this week. I will be mostly talking about the people who are very active in the the recovery movement here in Washington. One of which is a local politician as a state Representative in Lynnwood. (I want to make it clear that when I write about both these individuals especially the politician that I am NOT  in her district nor am I asking you to vote for her. I am just informing you of how awesome of an advocate she and the other person I will be talking about are.)

Awesome Mental Health Advocates: Heather & Lauren

The picture above are two extremely awesome mental health advocates. Heather is the Director of the King County Collation at Washington Recovery Alliance while Lauren is the Executive Director at Washington Recovery Alliance as well as a state Representative for the 32nd legislative district in the Lynnwood area. Anyway, both Heather and Lauren are awesome advocates and speakers. They with the help of a handful of other people helped create a Recovery Day at a Seattle Mariners game and from my understanding from many people, it turned out to be a HUGE success. Heather and Lauren not only are example of what recovery looks like but help create ways to celebrate recovery like having a recovery day at a baseball game. Not just any baseball game but a Seattle Mariners game.

Seeing both Heather and Lauren at the peer conference earlier in the week was amazing as they are both two of the kindest women, I know and hope that someday I can be just a small portion of the advocates they are. If you ever have the chance to meet Heather and Lauren then you are in the presence of people who can help you advocate for others.  Both are awesome speakers.

I don’t have much more to say except I am thrilled that I was able to see and talk with these two awesome advocates again. I want to thank you all for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciative from my end of things that you read my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. I hope everyone has a great Friday. I also hope everyone has a great weekend. For those living in the United States, I hope you have a wonderful three day weekend. Peace Out, World!!!

Not Feeling All That Well

Good Morning, World!!! It is just after two in the morning on a Sunday in my corner of the world. I am spending the night at my grandpa’s house. I am not feeling so well. I am thinking I might wake up either my uncle or my grandpa to take me to the hospital as my stomach is in knots. Actually, where my appendix is, is where it hurts like hell and I feel like  I am going to vomit.  I think I am going to cut this post short at wake up my family to take me to the hospital. Better safe than sorry when it comes to ones appendix.

On a side not the Mariners beat the Dodgers in the tenth inning. Just wanted to add something other than me not feeling all that well.

I sure get going and get to the hospital. My family will take me. I hope everyone has a better start to their Sunday than me. Have a great Sunday. Peace Out, World!!!

A Brain Full of Baseball, Art & Reading

Good Evening, World!!! I know I recently just posted within the last hour or so. Most likely I post less than an hour ago but I am okay with that. I have a brain full of random shit.

Right now I am listening to the Seattle Mariner versus Los Angeles Dodger game on the radio. I am rooting for the Dodgers as I am originally from the Los Angeles area. I am hoping that the Dodgers win.

As I blog I am listening to the game however after I am done blogging I’ll most likely do some art as I listen to the game on the radio. Actually, I most likely will be coloring as I listen to the baseball game.

I think after the baseball game is over with I am going to read the fantasy book I am reading. I haven’t spent much time reading my novels as of lately and think its time to get back in the habit of it.

I should really get going so I can listen to the baseball game and color. Afterwards, I will read my fantasy novel.

Thank you so much for reading my blog. It is very much appreciated. Sorry for back to back post within less than an hour of each other. Have a good rest of your Friday. I hope everyone has a good weekend. Peace Out, Weekend!!!

Belated 4th of July Post

Good Morning, World!!! I want to apologize to you my reader for not blogging as much. I have been struggling a great deal with my depression. My depression symptoms appear to have effected me severely enough that I haven’t been blogging.

Since my depression symptoms got in the way of blogging, I wanted to tell you about my 4th of July.  Despite my depression symptoms acting up, I managed to attended the Mariner versus Angel game here in Seattle. I really enjoyed myself with the exception of having Mariner’s fans throwing things at me. Due to having things thrown at me, I received a ticket to another game. I am also happy to say that the Angels won the game.

As for watching fireworks, I watched them at home on the television as I wasn’t sure how Lil Gertie was going to react to them. Lil Gertie didn’t react all that well to the fireworks. She hid in my dirty clothes hamper which is in my closet. She meowed out fear a good portion while fireworks were going off.

Thank you for reading. Peace Out, World!!!

Baseball & Facebook

Good Evening, World!! I just finished watching the Seattle Mariners play against the Los Angeles Angels. The Mariners swept the Angels in a three game series. I was sad to see the Angels loose because I am from Anaheim now living in Seattle.

I have been isolating all day and know that watching the baseball game on Facebook helped a great deal. I just need to not be isolating. I think I’m going to reach out to folks so I am not isolating.

Thank you for reading. Peace Out, World!!!
