A Mostly Lazy Sunday

Hello, World!!! It is 9:14pm here in Seattle. The weather in Seattle has made today a mostly lazy Sunday. I say mostly because I did volunteer at PAWS Cat City this morning. I love volunteering and enjoy being able to help people find new family members with adopting a cat.

Speaking of cats, I spent most of the day with my own cat, Billie Dean. Billie and I enjoyed our Sunday being lazy while enjoying ourselves doing a handful of things which included watching football, listening to a philosophy podcast called Philosophize This and doing mindfulness.

I spent some of my day focusing on mindfulness. I did this by doing a mindfulness practice with the Calm app. I also focused on mindfulness by doing a mindfulness journal as well as a mindfulness workbook. I am focusing on mindfulness because I know it helps me a great deal as well as keeps me focused on my recovery.

Besides doing mindfulness stuff, I also listened to a podcast. A podcast about philosophy. The philosophy podcast I have been listening to is Philosophize This. As I mentioned in previous blog post, I really enjoy this podcast and learn a great deal from it.

Another thing I did today was watch Sunday Night Football. I watched the 49ers play the Packers. The last half the game was great but sadly the 49ers lost. I am a 49er fan living in Seattle which means I live in enemy territory even though I am also a Seahawk fan. I wish the 49ers would have won but sadly they did not.

I do not have anything else to talk about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. If it wasn’t for you reading my blog, I wouldn’t be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Missed Most of the First Half of the Seahawk Game

Good Evening, World!!! I am little pissed off at the moment. I missed most of the first half of the Seahawk game due to the fact that someone decided to cook food and catch their stove on fire while they shot up heroin. If someone wants to shoot up drugs, it is their issue however once your addiction affects me I will have an issue with it. But I also know that addiction is hell and nobody wants to be living in addiction.

Since the person was extremely high and unaware their food caught the stove on fire, the fire alarm was set off which means the fire department showed up. Thankfully, my neighbor and everyone else is okay. I am most grateful that my neighbor was not overdosing even though the fire department had my neighbor go to the hospital as a precaution. I am glad that they are going to be okay

Now, I am back to watching the Seahawk game. I hope the Seahawks continue to have the lead and beat the Chiefs. Have a wonderful Sunday evening world and enjoy whatever you are doing at this present moment. Let’s go Seahawks. Here is to hoping the Seahawks win. Peace Out, World!!!

Let’s Go Seahawks

Good Evening, World!!! I realize I posted not to long ago but I just wanted to let you know that I have gotten most of my packing done which is a good thing. I also cleaned my bathroom which always makes me feel much better for some odd reason.

Now I am sitting down with a cup of hot chocolate watching the Seattle Seahawks play against the Kansas City Chiefs here in Seattle. I, of course am rooting for the Seahawks. There is nothing like being in my pajama’s drinking hot chocolate watching some football.

Yes, I know it is barely the first quarter of the game and I just recently posted my last post but blogging is good self care for me as is watching some football. Of course it helps being at home comfortable in pajama’s with hot chocolate and a cuddling cat. I am grateful that most of my packing is done and that my bathroom is clean.

I am going to go and watch the Seahawk game. As of right now the score is Kansas City Chiefs: 0 and Seattle Seahawks: 7 and is barely the first quarter. Let’s go Seahawks!!! I hope everyone has a good holiday and enjoys the rest of their Sunday. Peace Out, World!!!

Spending Day With Grandpa

Good Afternoon, World!!! I am spending the day with my grandpa to help take care of him as he recovers from knee surgery. He is moving around okay but not well enough to be left alone for more than a few hours as the doctor wants to make sure his knee heals up well. My uncles couldn’t take care of him today because one is currently working while the other is currently sleeping because he works a twelve hour shift tonight so this where I come into taking care of him. Basically taking care of him is getting doing small stuff around the house so he is not using his knee to much.

Right now the both of us are watching the Seattle Seahawks play against the San Francisco 49ers play in Seattle. I am wearing my Seahawk sweatshirt and my 49er hat. Yes, I am a fan of both teams. It is a long story that I might share with you at a later date. But once you know the story, you will understand a bit more of why I like two rival teams. Right now the score is Seahawks 27 and 49ers 10.

I don’t have much more to say in this post. I hope everyone has a great rest of their Sunday. Happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate Hanukkah. Again, thank you for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Watching Sports & Applying For Jobs

Good Evening, again, World!!! Right now I am watching the tenth inning of the Seattle Mariners versus the Los Angeles Dodgers. Right now it is tied four to four. I changed to the baseball game as the Seahawks lost to the Chargers. I am of course rooting for the Dodgers as I am originally from the Los Angeles area.  I was a little disappointed that the Seahawks lost.

As I have been watching various sporting events with my grandpa, I have also been applying for jobs. Jobs as a Peer Specialist. I am really wanting to get a job as it makes me feel like I am being a productive member of society if I am personally working.

I really should get going and start watching the Dodger versus Mariner game as I apply for jobs. Thank you so very much for reading even though I just posted a little over a half an hour ago. Have a good rest of your Saturday night. Enjoy the rest of what you have of your weekend. Peace Out, World!!!

Just Another Boring Post

Good Afternoon, World!!! I have decided I am not going to go volunteer tonight. I rather spend time with my grandpa watching the Seattle Seahawks preseason game. As much as I am not big American Football fan it’s always nice to spend time with my grandpa spending time with what he enjoys to do.

While spending time with my grandpa and uncle I plan on not only watching the Seattle Seahawk game, I plan on blogging as well as looking for and applying for jobs. I plan on doing this as I am extremely eager to go back to work. Working gives me a sense of purpose like volunteer does however work gives me more purpose.

As I spend time with my grandpa and uncle a good friend of mine who is a neighbor will be taking care of Lil Gertie, my cat, for me. He is very fond of my cat and I can trust him with Lil Gertie. I will miss Lil Gertie while I am gone even though it is just over night.

I am hoping that spending time with my grandpa and uncle that we can go out to eat on my treat to Red Robin. I am a big fan of Red Robin and the food they serve as well as their awesome service. It appears that the Red Robin event keep being put off and I hope this time it doesn’t get put off this time around.

In all honestly I most likely will be working on my resume’ and applying for jobs as I really want to get back to work. Not working is getting quite boring for me. Applying for work helps me feel productive even though I know I am productive in other ways in my life.

Thank you for reading my boring post. I thank you for reading my post. It is sincerely appreciated from my end of things. I hope I am not boring you with the same ole topics in my post. I’ll try to come up with new idea’s to discuss. Again thank you so much for reading my post. Peace Out, World!!!

Underdog, No More

The Superbowl and the Eagles winning the Superbowl had me thinking. Had me thinking about my own life. A life worth living is a life worth fighting for. The Eagle fought like hell to win the Superbowl so I need to fight like hell for my recovery. A recovery that I’ve already have been fighting for and will continue to do so.

For me I’ve been an underdog my whole life because of my learning disabilities, mental health conditions/challenges, sexual orientation and gender identity. With all that I just mentioned, I’ve been the underdog my whole life. I’m still considered an “underdog” yet I’m advocating for myself to be the success I want to be in my life. A success I’ve had before and know I will have once again.

I guess, I am saying is I’m not going to be the victim any more and most definitely won’t be the underdog, no more. For me that will be advocating for myself. I will be advocating for others as well. I wont allow myself to be an underdog no more.

Thank you for reading. I hope the rest of your Sunday is a peaceful one. Goodnight and Peace Out, World!!!

Last 9 Seconds

I literally only watched the last 9 seconds of the game. And well the Eagles one. Never underestimate the underdog. The Patriots looked disappointed however from the last nine seconds I saw, they didn’t work all that hard to make sure they got the ball. Eagles worked their asses of in the last nine second to make sure the Patriots didn’t get the ball. So from what I saw Eagles deserve the win and got the win. Never underestimate the power of the underdog. Thank you EAGLES from the Seahawk and 49ers fan!!!

I can relate todays win by the Eagles to my life. I’ve always been the underdog and underestimated throughout my life due to multiple disabilities as well as mental health challenges. If it weren’t for those who believed in me as well as music, I wouldn’t be here today blogging. So, just like the Eagles, I’m going to be a winner in life.

Thank you for reading. Have a good rest of your weekend and Peace Out, World!!!

Sports Talk

Good Morning, World!!! It’s Superbowl Sunday here in the United States. Some folks watch it for the football while other watch it for the commercials or the half time show. I’m not planning on watching it as I am NOT a Tom Brady fan and most definitely NOT a Patriots fan. I don’t want to support the Patriots by watching the Superbowl. I, however, hope the Eagles win.

Usually when the Superbowl is over with I consider it the unofficial start of baseball season. I am a huge baseball fan. This year is slightly different as it the Winter Olympics. Its the one sporting event that bring the world together. I plan on watching the Olympics as its a great sporting even to watch.

Thank you for reading my post about sports. Peace Out, World!!!

Happy Labor Day

Happy Labor Day!!! It is Labor Day here in the United States. While Labor Day is now a three day weekend for many people, many others still have to work. Here is a link to a USA Today news article about how Labor Day got its start: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2016/09/04/labor-day-history/89826440/.

This Labor Day weekend Junior and I have pretty much been laying low and staying home. Or at least not really going any where more than five miles away from home. Our goal for this weekend is to spend quality time together without spending much money and to avoid crowds as much as possible with one exception. We  did attend a college football game and I am happy to say that the team Junior and myself were rooting for won by a landslide. And yes the team we saw play is less the five miles away from home.

It’s been nice just staying home and do nothing. Most importantly its been nice to spend time with  Junior. As I look back on the 11 1/2 years of working this is the first Labor Day I have had off and am taking advantage of it by being with the man I love.

I don’t have much more to talk about. I hope you all enjoy your Labor Day. Don’t forget to thank those who are working today. Have a good day off if you have today off. Peace Out, everyone!!!
