Everyday Inspiration; Day 14: Recreate a Single Day

In all honesty as much as recreating a single day is tempting but in reality, it would change I am today. If it wasn’t for all the ups, downs and in betweens I would be a different person as many others would be different as well. As shitty as our world is I don’t know if it would be a good idea.

On that note moving from Anaheim, California to the Seattle area of Washington (State) at one time would have been a day I would have wanted to recreate because I didn’t want to leave my friends in California. Normal teenage stuff there.

As far as going to Nashville I don’t regret it has I had some good time as well as some traumatic times. and still wouldn’t trade my decision for the world by going to Nashville. I did a lot of growing up there and maturing.

So in reality as sucky as some moments are and how awesome other moments are, I would not want to recreate another day or I wouldn’t be who I am today.

Weekly Check In

Happy Caturday, World!!! It is Saturday aka Caturday which is when I usually do my weekly check ins. I personally feel like I haven’t bed doing the weekly check ins on the regular basis and I have plenty of legit excuses I can use but not going to use them as I know what I can do to overcome the struggles of doing the weekly check ins.

It has been a challenging few weeks or a I should say a challenging month and a half at work. I love my job with a passion and really hope the county can find a way to to keep us open. There is a very small glimmer of hope it can stay open but the reality is, it most likely will close.

Something that helped me this week was taking yesterday (Friday) off from work and go to my grandpa’s after work on Thursday to spend a couple of days with him and my two uncles. Of course my cat Billie Dean came with me. He enjoyed the extra attention but everyone knows that I am his human.

As far as my own recovery and knowing, I will be laid off but no official lay off date as of yet, I’ve been using my DBT skills. Specifically, the Radical Acceptance skill. Not an easy skill to do but it is helping me a great deal.

On the plus note, it is finally baseball season. I am hoping to make it to a came this season. Preferably one where the Angels are in Seattle. I love my home town team of the Angels. I really hope they do well this season.

I don’t have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my post. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World

Everyday Inspiration; Day 3: 1-Word Inspiration

Home

I chose the word home because home can mean many things to different people. Home can be many places as well. I’ve called and currently call many places home.

Let’s start with my first home. My first home is the place I grew up. In fact I grew up in Anaheim, California. Not too far from Disneyland. Hell, you could seen the Disneyland fireworks from both my front and back yards of my childhood home. You didn’t even to to sit on the roof of the house to see them. I lived there with my dad and grandparents. Even though I don’t live there or have family that live there anymore that will be home.

Another place I called home as a child is Olympia, Washington. Hell, it still feels like home as an adult when I go and visit. I spent my summers and winter vacations in Olympia to visit my mom as my parents have been divorced since I was a toddler. I still go to Olympia to visit my mom a few times a year, now that I live in the Seattle area.

Now lets talk about my current home in Seattle. My home is where my cat is as well as the teddy bear I had since I was born. It’s also that place I like to be most as my cat loves me unconditionally and my teddy bear doesn’t judge me. I am sure my cat, Billie Dean judges me but that’s okay because I know he loves me.

Last but not least home is also where my grandpa lives which isn’t far from where I live. It’s home for me because of my grandpa loves me and he helped raise me. I guess just being with my grandpa makes me feel at home even if we are in the car driving some place.

Photography: Developing Your Eye I; Day Four: Bliss

Good Morning, World!!! Today’s topic is bliss. For me attending baseball games is bliss. It brings back positive childhood memories. I, sadly don’t live in the area of my favorite team, The Angels but I still get to see them play when they come to Seattle when they play against the Mariners. I feel like a little kid when I attend a baseball game and enjoy being surrounded by fellow baseball fans. I miss baseball. For those who are sight impaired I have added a caption to the picture and hope that you are able to read it because WordPress gives you the option to add it to the photo.

The Angels playing the Mariners at Safeco Field now known as T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Washington. Not sure if you could tell but that Angels are at bat.

Missing the Boys of Summer

Good Afternoon, World!!! It is difficult for me to comprehend that there is no baseball right now. Not actually difficult to comprehend but wishing that the pandemic of Covid-19 wasn’t happening. Nobody knows at this point in time if there will even be a baseball season even if it is a shortened season. One can hope for a shortened season but the reality is we don’t know due to the pandemic and the teams versus the owners at the moment.

I miss attending baseball games even if my favorite team is usually the visiting team as I live in enemy territory of Seattle and I am an Angels fan. If you are not familiar with baseball, the Angels are a team that is located in Anaheim, California. I live in Seattle, Washington which is home to the Seattle Mariners. So, that means when I want to see the Angels play in person, I will most likely see them play against the Mariners here in Seattle as I don’t have money to travel to Anaheim to see the Angels play. When I go to a Mariners game when they play against my home town team, the Angels, I am not afraid to wear my Angel gear. I am die hard Angel fan even when I am living in enemy territory like Seattle.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do, however, want to thank you all for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. Again, thank you all from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. I hope everyone is having a great Monday. I also hope everyone has an awesome work week ahead of them. Before I go, and I realize baseball isn’t currently being played I want to say: GO ANGELS!!! Peace Out, World!!!

Belated 4th of July Post

Good Morning, World!!! I want to apologize to you my reader for not blogging as much. I have been struggling a great deal with my depression. My depression symptoms appear to have effected me severely enough that I haven’t been blogging.

Since my depression symptoms got in the way of blogging, I wanted to tell you about my 4th of July.  Despite my depression symptoms acting up, I managed to attended the Mariner versus Angel game here in Seattle. I really enjoyed myself with the exception of having Mariner’s fans throwing things at me. Due to having things thrown at me, I received a ticket to another game. I am also happy to say that the Angels won the game.

As for watching fireworks, I watched them at home on the television as I wasn’t sure how Lil Gertie was going to react to them. Lil Gertie didn’t react all that well to the fireworks. She hid in my dirty clothes hamper which is in my closet. She meowed out fear a good portion while fireworks were going off.

Thank you for reading. Peace Out, World!!!

Baseball & Facebook

Good Evening, World!! I just finished watching the Seattle Mariners play against the Los Angeles Angels. The Mariners swept the Angels in a three game series. I was sad to see the Angels loose because I am from Anaheim now living in Seattle.

I have been isolating all day and know that watching the baseball game on Facebook helped a great deal. I just need to not be isolating. I think I’m going to reach out to folks so I am not isolating.

Thank you for reading. Peace Out, World!!!

Late Lunch With Friends

Good Afternoon, World!!! I spent time with friends. We met at Red Robin and ate there. I had my usual, The Whiskey Bar-be-Que Burger. I love Red Robin and spending time with my friends.

We discussed what we were doing with our lives like we always do. We mainly discussed are careers and education. I discussed my job interview yesterday and how I feel that I nailed it. I hope I really get the job. One of my friends discussed her getting into the University of Washington (UW) school of Social Work to get her masters degree. She says I was her “inspiration” to get into social work.

We also discussed the baseball game we are going to this Friday. They are rooting for the Seattle Mariners while I will be rooting for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. I being from Anaheim will root for the Angels no matter what.

Thank you for reading!!! Peace Out, World!!!!

Self Soothing Due to Early Awaking

Good Morning, World!!! It is three o’clock in the morning here in Seattle. Unfortunately, I am wide awake. On the plus side I did get some sleep. Not as much sleep as I personally, would like but I did get some sleep.

As difficult as not being able to sleep right is, I am needing to self soothe as part of my self care plan. So, I put on one of my favorite hooded sweatshirts on. In fact the sweatshirt is of my favorite baseball team the Angels. In fact the Angels are currently in the lead for the American League West.

Besides wearing my Angels hoodie I am holding my teddy bear. A teddy bear I have had since I was born. It was given to me by my uncle. My teddy bear not only self soothes me but gives me some sort of safety. Safety from what? Who knows but I’ll take it.

After I am done blogging, I am going to do a mindfulness exercise practice. Mindfulness appears to put me in the right head space. I never thought I would say this but mindfulness is also self soothing for me. Well if it is done in a way I feel safe it is self soothing.

Thank you for reading. It is much appreciated. Peace Out, World!!!

10 O’clock Ramblings About Baseball

Image result for Baseball Images

Hello, World!!! I have a lot on my mind to where going to bed at a decent time appears to not be an option. Or at least it seems like it is not an option at the moment. My depression is acting up along with the symptoms of my PTSD.

So, I am now watching the ten o’clock news here in Seattle to see what is going on in this world. It is the same shit different day. On a plus note it is finally Baseball season.

Baseball is my favorite sport. The Angels are my favorite team as I was born and raised in Anaheim. I do root for the Seattle Mariners when they aren’t playing the Angels or the Dodgers.

I love following the stats that go with being a baseball time. It’s the one time I understand and able to comprehend math.

I guess, I will finish watching the news and try to go back to bed. Goodnight and Peace Out World!!!
