A Choice to Make Time for New Changes

Good Afternoon, World!!! As the year is quickly coming to an end, I have been thinking about changes I want to make in my life. Some are new changes and some not so new changes that I have been putting off. Changes can be a bit challenging to do even if it is a change you have been wanting and looking forward to.

Let’s start with the changes I desperately been putting off for months. That is cleaning and organizing my apartment. In fact my apartment is a disaster area and needs to be cleaned then organized. When it comes to cleaning my apartment, I tend to put it off. That is why I plan to schedule two to three times a week to clean my apartment. Hopefully it will be done by the end of the year so I can start January on a good note.

Speaking of January, I have awesome news. Yesterday (Monday) I got a call from a future employer offering me a job a Peer Specialist. I, of course accepted it and informed my new employer that I will need to put in notice at my current employer and will be out of town at the end of December. My new employer informed me that would be a “perfect time to start.” In fact my new future employer happens to be an a employer I use to work at. In fact this employer gave me my first job in the mental health field and was able to get my foot in the door at this employer.

As far as my current employer they are sad to see me go but they understand especially since my current employer is only twelve hours a week while my new employer is full time. Of course I will be earning more money an hour at my new employer. I will be making eleven dollars more an hour at my new job than I do at my current job.

Now on to me making new self improvement changes in my life. One think I will be doing sounds a bit nutty and crazy is doing mathematics on my own and not through a college course. The book I am starting out at is Basic Math and Pre Algebra for Dummies. I know it sounds a little silly and nutty but I want to be able to do basic math. I do plan on setting out a schedule when I do math as consistently as possible with a schedule you will retain and learn more.

I know I have mentioned this before but I am going to get into Tarot Cards and journaling. I keep starting up learning about Tarot Cards and then stop for some reason. I really want to get into Tarot because I feel like it will help me guide my life in the right direction and well as help me with my mental health recovery.

Speaking of my mental health recovery, my cat Billie does a wonderful job with helping with my recovery. Not only does he help my recovery, volunteering at PAWS Cat City every week helps with my recovery. I love volunteering at PAWS Cat City and I love my cat Billie even more.

Another way changes are on the way for both my creative side and my recovery is to do some crafting like crossing stitching and latch hook as well as art work such as painting and coloring. I feel like crafting and artwork keep me grounded and help with my recovery. I will also start trying a new type of art for me called diamond art a friend informed me about.

I do not have much more to discuss in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Happy Holidays and Peace Out, World!!!

Another Night Sleepless In Seattle

Good Morning, World from Seattle. It is just barely after three o’clock in the morning here in Seattle. I am extremely tired and it is the second night in a row where I haven’t slept very well. Tonight, I kept busy in hopes to get tired enough to go to sleep. Of course cuddling with my cat, Billie was a great help with my anxiety about not being able to sleep.

So, I started out with cross stitching. I am doing a stamped crossing stitching so I can learn and hopefully move on to counted cross stitching. I am crossing stitching a cat. I love cats. It’s a complicated stamped cross stitch but I’m okay with that. I am looking forward to the challenge of this stamped cross stitching cat. It is going to be beautiful when it is done. The next thing I did was painting by number. I am doing a scenery of a mountain and a lake. It’s coming right a long. The painting is nice and relaxing. I then colored a mandala. Mandala’s are a way to bring calm and peace to me. After doing my arts and crafts stuff, I started reading a holiday book. Actually it is a Christmas book. The book is called ” The Paper Bag Christmas” by Kevin Alan Milne. So far the book is good. After reading I did about a chapter of math in “Basic Math and Pre Algebra for Dummies.” Doing all this has helped me become hopefully tired enough to get some sleep.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading blog. Good Night, Happy Holidays and Peace Out, World!!!

Way Up Too Early on a Saturday Morning

Good Morning, World from Seattle, Washingtion. Right now it is 2:57 in the morning here in Seattle. To me it’s a little too early to be up at this time on Saturday morning. I have been having trouble sleeping lately and the insomnia isn’t helping as well as the traumatic events I have recently experienced.

One of the first things I did when I woke up was wish Billlie, my cat, a good morning. I then went down stairs to the community room and got me a group soda from one of the vending machines. I then came back up to my apartment and turned on a podcast about philosophy while giving Billie some attention. The podcast I am listening to as I write this particular blog post as well when I gave Billie some attention is Philosophize This. I am learning a great deal from listening to this podcast. In fact I feel like I’m getting an education from this philosophy podcast.

After finishing this particular blog post and listening to the current episode of the podcast, I most likely will be doing some math. Yes, I know doing math when it is not for school and/or work is weird but I want to be able to better myself. Yes, math is a way I want to better myself and I know it is unheard of when you are in your forties.

I guess listening to a podcast on philosophy and doing math is a way of educating myself. I’m not educating myself for other people but for myself. Plus, the more I learn the more I can talk about the subject if it is brought up in a conversation.

I do not have much more to say in this blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you do read my blog. Again, thank you for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

My Go to Wellness Tools When Things are Either Going Well or Not so Well & Sometimes in the Middle

Hello, World!!! Things haven’t had been very good lately but I’m handling them okay. I lost my new job because I wasn’t the right fit and I agree. It turned out to a be mutual agreement and “considered a lay off.” This lay off I’m okay with. The first lay off I wasn’t okay with it due to the fact of how it was handled.

I am putting in applications and going to interviews in the career of my choice as a peer specialist. I have also been applying to old employers I tolerated even the ones that were overnight or twelve plus hours long. Having a job helps me a great deal.

Even though things may not be going so well my cat, Billie has been a huge help. Hell, he is a huge help when things are both going well and not so well. Having an animal around had been quite helpful for me.

Another thing I have found helpful in both the good times and not so good times is volunteering. Volunteering at an animal shelter has been and continues to be quite rewarding. Helping cats find their furrever homes and people a new family member in a cat is one of the best feelings in the world.

Something I have started to do is to start doing math. Specifically, basic math and pre-algerbra. I’m doing this to help me if I get too emotional as well as to keep my math skills up. Having basic math skills is something every adult should have.

Another thing I am taking up is latch hook. I figure taking up a hobby latch hook would be helpful when thing aren’t going so well and even when they are going well.

Of course I’ll still be doing art. Specifically coloring. I am coloring a poster for my mom. She likes that type of thing. She is dealing with cancer and the treatment that goes along with it. Plus her birthday is tomorrow.

I don’t have much more to talk about. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Another Day of Sleep & Night of Insomnia

Hello, World!!! It is extremely early on the morning of Sunday, September 4, 2022; here in Seattle. I’m unable to sleep for the second night in a row. Primarily due to sleeping during the day. Not the brightest thing to do especially since I volunteer later on this morning.

Despite being just after two in the morning two in the morning, I feel like I have accomplished a lot tonight. First and fore most I listened to a podcast about philosophy as I colored picture for my mom so I can sure her up. My mom is dealing with stage three lung cancer and hope my colored picture cheers her up. As I colored the picture, I mentioned I’ve listened to a podcast philosophy. The podcast I listened to the philosophy podcast Philosophize This. I highly recommend listening to Philosophize This.

Another thing, I have done was a Basic Math and Pre-Algebra book. I’m doing this because I want to for the hell of it. Plus, if ever get the luxury of going to college, it will put me in a higher math class. But the honest reality is I just want to learn more even if I don’t even attend college. Kind of like me listening to Philosophize this except philosophy is my interesting.

I guess it is now time to play with my precious and playful cat, Billie. I love my Billie so much. He has always be there for me emotionally but the last couple of weeks he has been there for me a little bit more extra. I love my cat so much.

Thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. So, once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Even though it’s just after two in the morning on a Sunday morning, I hope everyone has a great Sunday. Peace Out, World!!!
