Weekly Check-In

Good Evening, World!!! I realized that I didn’t do my weekly check for last week however I know what got in the way and will work on to make sure things don’t get in the way again. Yes, I realize life happens when I won’t be able to blog at time but I know what got in the way and will do may very best to let it not get in the way again.

My birthday was on Wednesday and I went into hang out at the mental health clubhouse before my appointment with Gilbert. Well, I let my emotions get the better of me and had an emotional outburst directed toward another client. A client that was being quite discriminatory toward my gender identity and sexual orientation. This person kept using the wrong pronouns toward me as well. Unfortunately, my emotions got the better of me and I started screaming and yelling at the individual after this person to leave me alone after being asked several times. I got barred for two days and I think it should have been longer. The other individual in the incident got a two day bar as well however it started a day after mine started.

I’m not happy with my behavior and have amped up my mindfulness practice as I feel it will help me. Help me regulate to regulate the emotions that get the best of me. Mindfulness has always helped me regulate my emotions.

Thanks for reading. Peace Out, World!!

Finding the Hope in the Little Things

Good Afternoon, World!!! The last year and a half has been quite the struggle for me yet every time I feel like I am making some ground something trips me up. Sort of like tripping over the other shoe dropping.

Yet when I am tripping over the other shoe dropping, I tend to find the hope in the little things. Little things like reading a book or listening to my favorite music or even creating art. Yes, all the above mentioned give me hope yet something else gave me the hope I needed for this moment in time

That hope came from the two workbooks I am doing. One is about resiliency regarding my sexual orientation of being a pansexual and gender identity of being a non-binary, gender fluid individual. The other workbook is on mindfulness. So the workbooks I am doing on resiliency on who I am with my gender identity and sexual orientation as well as being mindful of being in the moment is what is giving me hope. Hope of who I am as an individual despite tripping over the other shoe dropping.

Thank you for reading. It is much appreciated from my end. Peace Out, World!!!

Saturday Morning Ramblings

Good Morning, World!!! I haven’t had the best of weeks. I’m just briefly checking in for the moment as I’m having a slightly rough go at it. I didn’t get much sleep again last night except it wasn’t because of insomnia. It was because I experienced yet another trauma. A trauma that I most likely will not discuss with you or at least in the current future.

I think I am going to work on my mindfulness workbook to help me get back into the right state of mind. Something else that will be helpful is to look over my DBT homework that I did last night and isn’t due to Friday.

Thank you for reading. Peace Out, World!!!

Everyday Inspiration; Day 14: Recreate A Single Day

Today’s assignment is to recreate a single day. I’m not sure if I like this particular assignment as I don’t necessarily want to recreate a single day. If I were to recreate a single day then I wouldn’t be mindful of the present moment. As much as recreating a positive day I would relive a negative one as well.

I guess, what I am saying is every moment I have experienced in life is what made me who I am today. Yes, I would like to relive or recreate moments or even days however that means I would have to relive situations I don’t want to relive.

Now that I am off of my soapbox thank you for reading. It is appreciated. Peace Out, World!!!

Ugh!!! Someone Pulled The Fire Alarm

Hello, World!!! I’m getting frustrated as hell. Someone keeps pulling the pull station and it sets off the fire alarm. I was in the middle of working on one of my workbooks. I am now shaken up by this. It triggers my PTSD as I been in two fires.

Now that I have been triggered, I am going to do some mindfulness and meditation practices. I need to get back to being relaxed so I can sleep tonight.

I hope everyone has a great night. Thank you for reading my blog. Goodnight. Peace Out, World!!!

Just a Rambling or Two

Good Morning, World!!! I was able to get back to sleep after my last post discussing about how I woke up from a nightmare. Nightmares are not my idea of fun and not conducive to one getting sleep.

Right now I am thinking about my grandma and her funeral on Monday.  I miss her so much and its going to be difficult to say goodbye to her on Monday. I just want my grandma back so much. I love her so very much.

I think once I am done blogging I will do The Mindfulness Workbook that I’ve been working on. It’s helping me overcoming fear and embracing compassion. I am enjoying doing this workbook as well the other workbook I am doing.

I think I am going to get going and do my workbook. Thank you very much for reading my blog. It is much appreciated. Peace Out, World!!!

Two In The Morning Ramblings

Good Morning, World!!! It is two o’clock in the morning in my corner of the world. I am of course having trouble sleeping once again. Sleep hasn’t come easy to me recently and as frustrating as it is, I am glad to have the skills I need to help me through sleepless nights.

One of the many skills I used tonight is art. I painted some. I also did some collaging. I actually collaged on some of my paintings and I personally think it looks really cool. But then again beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Another skill I have been doing on sleepless nights like tonight is reading. I am still reading Ship of Magic. Yes, I realize it is taking me a while to read it but I’m enjoying it. Enjoying it is all that matters

I have also worked on my workbooks. Specifically, The Mindfulness Workbook as it gives me ideas to calm my mind to help me sleep or at least get some rest. Doing any of the workbooks is helpful to me and my recovery.

Thank you for reading. Goodnight. Peace Out, World!!!

Thursday Night Ramblings

Hello, World!!! It is eleven o’clock at night in my corner of the world. I have attempted to go to sleep yet I am unable to do so. I am hoping that I can get to sleep tonight as I took a nap earlier today because I was unable to sleep last night.

I have been using the Calm app to help me with my sleep. I find that it does help me get some great rest if I’m unable to sleep. Mindfulness and meditation helps me sleep as well as relax because it gets me to be in the present moment.

Being in present moment is always a good thing as it means I am in the here and now. Being in the here and now means I am able to enjoy the moment even if it is a negative moment. It is my goal to enjoy each moment as it comes even if it is a not so good moment.

Thank you for reading. Peace Out, World!!!

Recovery Ramblings

Good Evening, World!!! It has been an uneventful day for me and right now that is a good thing. It’s a good thing because recent events regarding an assault I experienced and the death of my grandma.

I have been doing one of my workbooks for most of the day. The workbook I have been doing is The Queer & Transgender Resilience Workbook. I have been finding it quite helpful for me not just in regards to my gender identity and sexual orientation but my recovery as well.

In fact realizing my gender identity and sexual orientation is apart of my recovery. Something that Junior is proud of me for acknowledging as well as accepting me as I am and loving me. I consider myself as a gender fluid, non-binary, pansexual individual and Junior loves me as I am.

I have also been doing another workbook called The Mindfulness Workbook to help me keep up my mindfulness practice’s. I have been finding this helpful with my recovery as well as my everyday life. It’s been quite helpful in ways I never thought were possible. It has been helping me be more mindful of the present moment.

Speaking of being mindful of the present moment, I realize I am hungry and need to eat. Thank you for reading. Peace Out, World.
