Weekly Check-In

Good Evening, World!!! I am tired as hell, so I will keep this brief. This week has been a long week or at least that was the case regarding work. Don’t get me wrong, I love my job, it was just a long week.

Despite a long week at work, I ended up in the emergency room yesterday (Friday) evening due to having pain in my right kidney. I thought I had another kidney infection but I do not. I have kidney stones and they hurt like fucking hell but at least it is not another kidney infection.

Even though I didn’t get to bed till midnight last night, I still went for a walk with a friend this morning. It was a good way to get some exercise and catch up with a friend. My friend and I hadn’t hung out since last year before the pandemic so it was to catch up with each other in person.

Not only did I hang out with my friend, I volunteered mid afternoon at PAWS Cat City today. It was nice to be able to volunteer and help cats get new furrever homes. I love volunteering.

I don’t have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. If it wasn’t for you my reader, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Too Much to Digest from Conference that I Can’t Sleep

It is five thirty in the morning on a Saturday morning. This years conference was overall good with some glitches. The glitches ended up getting fixed. I really enjoyed the conference for the moment a part. I enjoyed the workshops I attended and learned what I needed to learn as well as learn on how I can become a better peer. I a guess I am just venting with how tough the conference was this year.. Thank you all for attending the Peer Pathways conference. as I have insomnia from it due to the amount I have a learned.

Friday is Nearly Over & I Need to Update You on the Conference I Attended

I realize that this post is a wee bit late as what I am a bout to talk about is an amazing conference that I attended with fellow peer specialist. Peer Specialist that are very near and dear to my heart. With out the encouragement from these amazing people I don’t think I would have even imagined receiving what I received as I personally think other peer deserving of was I received. I received an award that I don’t I think should have been given to me but that is my own insecurities getting to me. I think I am proud of myself for receiving it.

As far as the rest of the conference went, it went well. I was able to receive some new networks in my pocket as well as well as reconnect with others. The peer community is an amazing set of people you can ever meet. You make forever friends in the peer community and each one of them is a precious person.

The best part is when this group of people believe in the work that you do that they think you deserve an award that your fellow peers nominate you for. So thank you for the award even though many others deserve it as well.

Sadly, the conference was done virtually so it was on via Zoom. There were some glitches but that is okay because it helps up peers to be more resilient.

Thank you for the award and am grateful that I was honored for the award. I would like to thank you my reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. If it were not for my reading I would not be blogging. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. I hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead of you. Peace Out, World!!!

The Weather Sucks but Friends & Cats Don’t Suck

Good Morning, World!!! Right now I am suppose to be working and am on the clock. I just don’t have anything going for work regarding clients or meetings till twelve noon Seattle time. I am also all caught up on paperwork. I’m not a big fan of paperwork which is why I do it as soon as possible so it is not hanging over my head like a dark cloud.

Speaking of dark clouds, the weather in Seattle sucks today even for Seattle’s weather. Days like today in the weather department does make it easier to work from home. Also, days like today doesn’t help my depression. At least the sucking weather fits my sucky mood of depression.

My depression might be acting up which is why I decided to go out to breakfast with a friend of mine. My friend and I went to breakfast to catch up with each other and what is going on in each other’s lives. I am always happy to catch up with friends especially over a good meal. The best part of the meal with my friend was sharing funny stories about our cats.

Since we are now on the topic of cats, I will be volunteering this evening at PAWS Cat City. I am looking forward to it. I love volunteering at PAWS Cat City. It always brightens my day as well as my week when I volunteer especially when my depression is acting up.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you do read my blog. Again, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. I hope everyone has a great day ahead of them. Peace Out, World!!!

Weekly Check-In

This past week has been quite a week. Overall, it has been a good one with a couple of not so good moments. Moments, I will get through with the help of friends, family and colleagues as well my cat Billie Dean.

The week started out with my birthday and being able to celebrate it with friend and family. I celebrated my birthday with both sides if my family. I first celebrated with my dad’s side of the family here in Seattle. I then traveled to Olympia to celebrate with my mom’s side of the family.

As I spent time in Olympia, my grandpa took care of my cat Billie Dean at his home in the Seattle area. I really missed be with Billie but I enjoyed my time with my mom and uncle as well as a couple of friends who live in the Olympia area.

The best part of my birthday was that I started the first step of the twelve step program I am in. I am slowly working on the first step. I wish it wasn’t taking as long as I had hope it was. I am grateful to be working on the twelve steps.

I am grateful to be home from Olympia and I think my cat Billie is glad to be home from my grandpa’s. Hell, we are both happy to be home together. I did end up having some health issues. I had a migraine and had to to take an expected day off of from work yesterday. All I can say is migraines suck shit.

My supervisor did check in with me yesterday as she thought I took yesterday off due to being bullied by a colleague. I assured my supervisor that I was not taking it off due to bullying that I was taking it off due to a migraine. My supervisor is just an amazing person. Even though someone at work is bullying me, I am grateful that my supervisor and colleagues are supportive of me.

I don’t have much more to say in this particular weekly check in. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you do read my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Feeling Supported

Good Afternoon, World!!! Right now I am feeling supported. I am feeling supported in many different ways by many different people including my cat, Billie Dean. Yes, I realize Billie is a cat and not a human but I feel supported by him.

I feel supported by the various people in my life due to circumstances going on in my life. I was and am on the receiving end of being bullied by a colleague. When it became clear on Thursday that I was being bullied, my supervisor and many of my colleagues have been checking in on me even today, a Saturday. I am thrilled that my colleagues at my new job are backing me up and supporting me.

To add to being bullied, I ended up having to call out sick yesterday (Friday) due to a migraine. Again, my colleagues as well as friends and family checked in on me throughout yesterday and today. My grandpa even brought over groceries today and made me a meal. My grandpa didn’t have to make me lunch but he did. He, a neighbor and myself sat on the community patio of my apartment building and had lunch. It was nice to eat lunch with a friend and my grandpa.

Another way I felt supported today was going to a twelve step meeting. A twelve step meeting my sponsor regularly attends. Of course the meeting was not in person due to Covid-19 but at least I was able to attend one over Zoom. Zoom is a godsend during the pandemic and am grateful for it especially when it comes to attending twelve step meetings. My sponsor checked in with me after the meeting. We discussed how I was doing regarding my first step and how it is a slow process at the moment.

Of course as I mentioned earlier on in this post, I am feeling supported by my cat, Billie Dean. I love my cat, Billie so much. It is amazing how supportive pets can be in peoples lives. My cat has been a great support for me and am grateful for him.

I do not have much more to say in this particular job post. I just want to say thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you do read my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

There’s No Place Like Home

Good Evening, World!!! I had an awesome four day birthday weekend. I spent time with both sides of my family and am beyond grateful for my decision. As much as I am glad I went to Olympia to visit my mom and uncle my birthday, I am happy to be home.

Last Friday, I celebrated my birthday with my dad, grandpa and two uncles as well as my cat, Billie Dean. I took Billie to my grandpa’s house as I went out of town for a few days. I am beyond grateful that my grandpa took care of my cat, Billie. Anyway, I had a great time with my dad’s side of the family and had some awesome barbeque ribs.

After an awesome dinner I came home and packed to go to Olympia via train while my cat Billie stayed with my grandpa. I went to Olympia on Saturday via train. I love taking the train and enjoy myself every time I take a train.

When I arrived in Olympia a friend of mine picked me up and we went out for dinner after I checked into my hotel room. We went to Carl’s Jr. for dinner as we don’t have one here in Seattle. I love Carl’s Jr. as I went there all the time when I grew up in California. After eating Carl’s Jr. with my friend we went to Priest Point Park and hike around the park. I love that park. After hiking around the park for a while my friend dropped me off at the hotel.

On Sunday which was my birthday I took a walk with a friend around Capital Lake. It was great to walk around the lake with a friend. After the walk my mom and uncle to me out to dinner at Red Robin’s I love Robin’s. I had my normal meal of a Whisky River Barbeque Burger with extra cheese and onion straws.

On Monday, I took time to myself and just hung out around Downtown Olympia as well as in my hotel room. I just needed a day to myself and am beyond grateful that I took a me day for my birthday weekend.

I came back home to Seattle, yesterday via train. I am so happy to be home. My grandpa dropped off my cat, Billie Dean once I got home. Billie is just as happy to be home as I am. There is no place like home. I love my cat Billie and love being home with him around. I think Billie is grateful to both being home and to be around me. We are both happy to be home with each other.

I do not have much more to say in the particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. Again, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!
