A cat that is not only a family member

but my best friend.

cats are both family and friends.

That is why my cat, Billie is my

friend.

It’s Been a Great Christmas

Merry Christmas, World!!! It is still Christmas in my corner of the world known as Olympia, Washington. I am currently in Olympia as I spent part of today, Christmas, visiting with my mom and two uncles. My brother sadly was not present as he is visiting his dad today. I missed having my brother around but I’m grateful he is having a fun time with his dad.

Speaking of dads, my dad is visiting my grandpa and my two uncles who live about twenty miles north of Seattle. I spent Christmas Eve with my dad’s side of the family because that when we celebrate Christmas as one of my uncles was born on Christmas. When my uncle was born on Christmas Day, my grandparents made the decision to celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve and keep Christmas Day a special day for my uncle and just celebrate him as it is his birthday. In fact my uncles and grandpa are taking care of my cat Billie as I am in Olympia.

Going back to today, I had a great time with my mom’s side of the family. We had an awesome dinner and Denny’s. I was also able to walk around Capital Lake this evening with a friend who lives here in Olympia. In fact it started snowing here in Olympia as my friend and I were walking.

Going back to yesterday, Christmas Eve, I had a great time with my dad’s side of the family celebrating Christmas. We had an awesome dinner of lasagna. I know it’s not the “typical” Christmas dinner but it doesn’t matter just as long as I am spending it with my loved ones.

I do not have much more to say in this particular post except that miss my cat and can’t wait to see him when I get home in a couple of days. I would also like to thank you for reading my blog. It is really appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Merry Christmas and Peace Out, World!!!

A Week till Christmas

Happy Holidays, World!!! It is hard to believe that Christmas is a week from today. I have of sadly did last minute shopping today and boy were the stores busy as hell which is not a surprise. I mainly still celebrate Christmas because of family. Mainly because my grandpa as he is 91 and wants to keep the family traditions going. In all honestly I still celebrate with my mom and that side of the family because my mom doesn’t very much support and I don’t want her to be alone when this time of year is already tough on her. As much as I’m not a fan of Christmas due to my own shit, I celebrate it because I know how much it means to others and want to bring them joy.

Hell, if I’m honest with myself I have my own Christmas traditions even though I celebrate other holidays this time of year. My personal Christmas traditions that I do just for me is read two comic books call Christmas with the Superhero’s One and Two. I also do two to three holiday or wintery puzzles as I listen to Christmas music. I say two to three puzzles because it depends on the size of the puzzles I do. I also do art work related to Christmas. Specifically, I have some pretty detailed Christmas coloring pages I do every year as I listen to Christmas music. Some of the coloring pages still aren’t finished yet due to me only coloring them during the holiday season. In fact if it wasn’t for a couple of therapist encouraging me to make my own Christmas traditions for just me and actually doing my own traditions, I would be more of a bah hum bugger than I already I am.

On that note Christmas in the Seattle area is my idea of way to spend a great Christmas. I love being able to celebrate Christmas with friends, family and my cat as it rains. Well, it rains most Christmas’s. Seattle has been known to have a white Christmas on occassion.

Billie Dean, my cat will be getting spoiled this Christmas. My grandpa will be cat sitting Billie when I go see my mom’s side of the family and some friends in the Olympia area of Washington. It appears that Billie is well loved by others as he is getting many gifts this year from friends and family just like he did last year. I thrilled that I have friends and family that love my cat, Billie just as much as I do.

Before I end this particular blog post, I just wanted to let you know that I am listening to Christmas music. I want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader do read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader reading my blog, I would not be writer my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my hear for reading my blog. Happy Holidays and Peace Out, World!!!

Just a Bunch of Rambling

Good Evening, World!!! Happy Hanukkah to those who are Jewish and celebrating this miracle holiday. In all honesty I get the feeling this particular blog post will go in all sorts of different directions as I seem scatter brained today.

Surprisingly, as I type this particular blog I am listening Christmas music. I guess it’s the season to do so. At least it is bringing me joy as I type this blog. Listening to Christmas music brought me joy at work as well. No, Christmas music was not playing when I was in session with clients. I guess the Christmas music helped me be productive with work today or at least the note taking part of my job.

Speaking of work, I have some pretty awesome colleagues. My small group team, I am a member of is an amazing group of people. I adore all my colleagues especially the ones that are on my small team. I really do like my supervisor. She is awesome.

After my work shift ended I decided to continue to listen to Christmas music while doing art work. My cat, Billie Dean wanted to help. So, some of my artwork is quite a bit more unusual than normal. I really love my cat and his “helpfulness” with the art work.

My depression has been acting up which is why I’ve been making some art work while listening to Christmas music. I am planning on giving my art work away as gifts during this holiday season to my friends and family.

I am grateful for the friends and family I have in my life. They truly do love and care about me. Billie, my cat is now trying to help me type this particular blog post. I feel the love from my colleagues, friends, family and my cat Billie.

I don’t have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things. If it wasn’t for you the reader reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Happy Hanukkah to those of you who are celebrating it. Peace Out, World!!!

One of Them Days

Good Evening, World!!! It’s been one of those days where depression and anxiety are both acting up. It’s not a good time for either of them to act up when you work with clients who are in crisis mode. Any way, my supervisors have been very supportive of debriefing about these clients. I love the people I work with but some days are just more challenging than other days.

Anyway, after work I checked in with friends as my cat Billie Dean sat on my lap cuddling. Having my friends give me a reality check and the unconditional love of my cat, Billie has really helped me.

Another thing that has helped me is while my cat cuddled with me, I listened to a podcast about philosophy. Specifically, I am listening to “Philosophize This.” I am learning a great deal about philosophy and feel like I am getting a small education about philosophy.

I do not have very much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my perspective that you read my blog. If it wasn’t for you my reader, reading my blog, I wouldn’t be writing my blog. Again, thank from the bottom of my heart for reading my heart. Peace Out, World!!!

Feeling Loved

Happy Friday, World!!! Today, I am feeling loved. I am feeling loved by my friends and family. Let’s start with me getting home from work. My grandpa and uncle had come over and helped clean up a little bit of my apartment. They didn’t have to do this but they did and I feel loved my this.

Another way I am feeling loved is that some of my friends who are neighbors made me dinner and invited me over to eat dinner with them. Spending time with people who care about me while eating good food makes me feel loved.

Last but not least, my cat, Billie Dean always gives me love. Billie’s love for me is unconditional. Anyone who has ever had a pet knows the unconditional love an animal is able to give.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it wasn’t for you reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

So Far a Good Day Off with A Goodbye to Dr. B

Good Late Afternoon, World!!! Overall, today has been a good day. I started off the day with having breakfast with some fabulous friends. It is always nice spending time with friends especially when they treat you to a nice meal.

I then took my cat, Billie Dean into his last appointment with Dr. B to get bloodwork done. From what I was told, Billie allowed Dr. B and crew one last belly rub as it will be their last time seeing Billie as sadly Dr. B is going out of business for various reason. I will miss her as Billie’s vet but understand why she is going out of business. On that note I just got a call from Dr. B and Billie’s kidney’s are in the normal range which means the kidney food is doing its job. On the sad note, today was a goodbye to Dr. B from me and Billie since Dr. B is going out of business. Dr. B is the sweetest and most compassionate vet ever. She is just an amazing vet and am sad she is having to go out of business so the goodbye is to Dr. B and her amazing crew.

I did do an extra volunteer shift today since I took the day off from work to take my sweet cat, Billie to the vet. I love volunteering and enjoy getting my kitten fix at PAWS Cat City. As much as I love kittens, I personally wouldn’t want to get one as they are a lot of work which is why I get my kitten fix when I volunteer at Cat City. I love all the cats at Cat City and wish I could be that “crazy cat person” but I don’t have the space nor money to have any more cats.

Now that I am home from everything I’ve done today, I have showered and ready to take it easy. I am planning on reading a book on philosophy as well as listen to a podcast on philosophy. The book I am going to be reading is “The Republic and Other Works” by Plato. I am really enjoying this book. Now as far the podcast I will be listening to is “Philosophize This.” I really enjoy listening to this podcast. I learn so much from it.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you do read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

A Great Start to the Day

Good Morning, World!!! Despite not getting much sleep last night, I am having a great start to my day. I woke up with my cat, Billie Dean laying next me in my bed staring at me. Usually when I wake up with Billie next to me he doesn’t stare at me. When he does stare at me when I wake up it usually means it is going to be a great day.

Another way today started of great was a couple of my neighbors who are dear friends to me took me out to breakfast. They even paid for it which as an awesome treat for me. I am grateful to have wonderful neighbors who are great friends. Friends and cats make this world a better place to live.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Have an Awesome Day and Peace Out, World!!!

Weekly Check-In

It is that time of week that I do a weekly check-in. Yes, I realize it has been a while since I have done a weekly check-in but I have decided to start doing them again. Let’s start with the obvious of how grateful I am for my cat Billie Dean. Billie has been so cuddly and lovey this past week. Billie being extra cuddly has been great since I have been dealing with increased anxiety and depression symptoms.

Since the symptoms of my anxiety and depression having been acting up, I took two mental health days off yesterday (Friday) and Thursday. Since I took Thursday and Friday off, I spent a lot of time reaching out to friends. Friends who have been quite supportive and helped me get through some tough moments.

Besides reaching out to friends, I have been listening to podcast and reading. I have been listening to podcast and reading about philosophy. The podcast I have been listening to is “Philosophize This.” The book I have been reading is by Plato called “The Republic and Other Works.” I have been on a philosophy kick lately especially since I have been reading about it.

I don’t have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, I wouldn’t be writing this blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Maintaining Good Mental Health

Good Evening, again, World!!! Today, I didn’t go to work and am taking a mental health day. I have been doing some self care stuff in my life to help me get through some rough moments which appear to be working. In fact what I am doing is coping skills to help with my self care today.

I have been reaching out friends and talking with them. Talking with supportive friends is quite helpful for me. I am glad to have such amazing friends.

I have also been listening to a podcast about philosophy which is extremely educating me as I never had the opportunity to learn about it in high schools which is quite disappointing for me. “Philosophize This has realized what books I can read to fuller my education even though I am not going through the college/university route as there are many routes to be educated. The book I have started reading is “The Republic and Other Works” by Plato. I owe this education to Steven West who is the podcaster of “Philosophize This” for wanting me to learn more.

And lets not forget my loving cat Billie Dean. Billie is my very own lap cat who loves me so very much. I am so grateful that he is in my life. I am grateful that he gives me the love I need.

Self care looks differently for everyone and that can also look differently from the same person depending on the day. Safe care is something we all need to focus on.

I don’t have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things. If it wasn’t for you the reader, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!
