Nothing Major, I Got A Nap

Good Afternoon, World!!! I finally got some sleep. It wasn’t a much but at least it was a restful two-hour nap that I am so very grateful for. It was also a much-needed nap that I needed think I would be able to get due to the fact I have trouble sleeping when it is so sunny outside.

I am not sure what I am going to do next. I know I want to do some form of art but not sure what type of art I would like to do. I am not sure if I want to color or if I want to do diamond art/painting. I really enjoy both types of art.

In all honesty, I am most likely going to go to park and read. The weather here in Seattle is absolutely beautiful and I might as well as take advantage of it. One of my favorite things to do is go to a local park and read. I get some sun, and I get to read; two of my favorite things.

I do not have anything else to discuss or share or to write about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog I would not be continuing to write my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Mid-Day Ramblings

Good Afternoon, World!!! It is twelve thirty-three in the afternoon here in Seattle and I am still awake. As much as I would have loved to go to sleep when I felt like I could; I could not. I could not because I did a volunteer shift with Alley Cat Project. In fact, I am still doing my volunteer shift with Alley Cat Project. My volunteer shift ends at one o’clock in the afternoon. When my shift ends in twenty-seven minutes, I am planning on taking a nap. A long nap at that.

As much as I am looking forward to my nap and plan on taking one, I also have other ideas on what I would like to do with my day. One of the things I am going to do once I am done with my nap is to continue listening to a podcast. A podcast about philosophy. The philosophy podcast I am listening is Philosophize This. I really enjoy listening to this podcast and learning about philosophy. In fact, I read books that are suggested in the podcast as well as read up on the philosophers who are discussed in the podcast.

As I listen to the podcast, Philosophize This, I plan on doing some art. The type of art I plan on doing is diamond art/painting. The diamond art/painting that I am doing is the one the tuxedo cat in a tree. I am nowhere close to being finished as it is a slow process. A process that is well worth it as once it is finished, you have a sense of accomplishment and a finished piece of art. I really enjoy doing diamond art/painting and I grateful that my neighbor introduced me to it.

I do not have anything else to discuss or share or to write about in this particular blog post except that I really want some sleep, and I hope I can easily fall asleep for a nap.

Middle of the Night Ramblings

Good Morning, World!!! It is three thirty-three in the morning here in Seattle. I am sadly unable to sleep partly due to insomnia and partly due taking a late (and long) nap yesterday evening. I normally would care if I took a long nap in late evening, but I am glad I took mine yesterday evening due to being woken but by the storm at two sixteen in the morning, yesterday.

Since I am unable to sleep, I decided to do some artwork and listen to a podcast. The type of artwork that I am doing is coloring. I started a new gigantic coloring page of a mandala. I love coloring especially mandala’s. As I colored, I listened to a podcast. A podcast about philosophy. The podcast about philosophy that I listened to is Philosophize This. I am really enjoying this podcast and learning about philosophy.

I do not have anything else to discuss or write about in this particular blog post except I want to get back to coloring and listening to a podcast. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be continuing to write my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

After A Good Nap, It’s Time for A Good Book

Good Evening, World!!! It is seven twenty-nine in the evening here in Seattle and the weather is still yucky. With the weather being so yucky and me not feeling well I decided to take a nap after my last blog post. I am glad I took the nap despite sleeping longer than I had hoped to. I know I needed the sleep, and I hope that I have not created a not so good sleep cycle for myself.

Now that I am wide awake, I think I am going to read the book in a six-book series. In fact, it is part of the Fire and Brimstone series by Nikole Knight. I am so happy that I picked this book series out because I was just going off of what the back of the book said, and I read it online. So, I bought all six books on a whim after reading something about the first book online.

I do not have anything else to discuss or write about in this particular blog post.

Wide Awake at 2:34 in the Morning

Good Morning, World!!! It is two thirty-four in the morning here in Seattle. After my last blog poste yesterday, things didn’t go as I had planned but that is okay. I had planned to do a diamond art/painting of a tuxedo cat in a tree, but I got sidetracked. I got sidetracked by deciding to learn how to use a PowerPoint. Yes, I know it’s a little late in the game to learn how, but it never hurts to learn. I am teaching myself to use PowerPoint because I am wanting to present a conference that is solely focused on peer specialist. The cool thing I am learning about PowerPoint is can actually get creative with using it and I think that is awesome.

After starting to learn how to use PowerPoint, I realized that I needed to take a nap as I was tired as hell. Needless to say, I am now wide awake. I truly didn’t mean to sleep for so long especially since it was supposed to be a nap and not an average night of sleep for me.

Now that I am wide awake from an extra-long nap, I plan on doing some artwork. The type of artwork I am going to work on is a diamond art/painting project. The diamond art/painting I am doing is that of a tuxedo cat in tree. I picked this diamond art/painting because my cat, Billie is a tuxedo cat. Yes, that means I am very partial to tuxedo cats.

Maybe it is a good thing that I am doing diamond art/painting because the weather is yucky in Seattle right now. Yes, I know it is the middle of the night, but the weather is supposed to get worse as the day goes on. I’m not a big fan of yucky weather but it does make a great excuse to stay inside.

I do not have much else to discuss or write about in this particular blog post.

Just Another Post

Hello, World!!! I don’t know how to feel right now. Depression is hitting me hard tonight but at least I got some sleep in earlier. Even though I only got about four hours of sleep I am grateful for the much needed sleep as I was tired. Hell, I am still tired which is why I am probably slightly depressed.

Depression sucks but at least I know how to help myself. One of the things I have been doing is some step work. Specifically, I am working on step one. I really like the fact that the twelve step program I am in has its own twelve step work book. My sponsor is willing to go at my own pace working on the steps as she knows how challenging doing the steps can be.

Since the steps can be hard to do, I’ve done some self care. One of the forms of self care that I have done is to read. I have decided to switch books to read. I am now reading Abraham Lincoln; Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith. So far the book is good but I am only thirty pages into the book.

I also have been doing art work. Specifically, I have been coloring. I have been coloring to some music. As I color I have been listening to my childhood memories playlist on Spotify. I love being able to color as I listen to music.

I do not have much more to talk about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Got Some Good Sleep Here in Seattle

Good Morning, World!!! I feel like I got some good sleep here in Seattle. I love it when I get good sleep. Granted I didn’t sleep more than five hours and had nightmares but at least it was good sleep overall so I am going to try not to complain. I am surprised that I got good sleep as I took two naps yesterday due to not sleeping very well that night before.

I mentioned in past post that I recently experienced a trauma. A trauma that caused my PTSD to act up especially from past traumas. Anyway, my therapist is helping me through the trauma is willing to stick with me as I know I can be challenging. My session with my therapist yesterday went well. My therapist is beyond awesome.

When I had my session with my therapist yesterday, I wish I would have remembered to tell her something. Something that helps with my PSTD nightmares. That something is reading one of my favorite genres of books which is horror books. Horror books help me not remember my own horrors especially if I read them before bed as I end up with nightmares from the horror books which are so much easier to deal with than PTSD nightmares.

Another thing that I have found that is helpful dealing with my PTSD is mindfulness meditation. It helps because I feel like it calms my mind down. That is why I do my very best to start each day with a mindfulness meditation practice as well as end my day with one.

On to other things that are helpful to my recovery is doing some form of fine art and listening to music. This has been one of my go to’s since my early days in recovery with a mental health challenge. I love art and I love music.

Speaking of recovery I went to the grocery store yesterday to buy some much needed food. One of those food items was ice cream. I got a pint of Baskin Robins mint and chip ice cream. I ate about a quarter of it and plan on having some later today.

Something I started doing in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic was attending a twelve step meeting for adult children who dealt with parents who are alcoholics. I loved attending and I really wish I didn’t stop attending. I am hoping to start regularly attending again as I found it helpful to my recovery.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to say thank you for reading my blog. If it was not for you the reader reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

There’s No Place Like Home

Good Evening, World!!! Happy Caturday to all you cat lovers out there or to those who are not a fan of cats then Happy Saturday to you. If you read my last two posts you know I didn’t sleep very well last night. On that note, I still went and visited my grandpa.

While visiting my grandpa, I did my laundry and helped my grandpa with some chores even though he wanted to do them tomorrow (Sunday) but was appreciative that I helped out. My grandpa also took me out to breakfast which I greatly appreciated. In fact I am grateful when people treat me to a meal, whether it is homemade or at a restaurant. I love my grandpa so very much and am thrilled that I still have a grandparent to be alive especially since I am in my mid-40’s. I am grateful to have spent time with my grandpa but I am happy to be home.

In fact I have been home for several hours now and there is no place like home. To be honest I’ve been sleeping for the last several hours which means the short nap I was planning on taking ended up more like a night of sleep despite it being in the middle of the day, Seattle time. I must have needed the sleep. I just really hope I am able to sleep tonight especially since I work tomorrow (Sunday).

I normally work from home on Sundays but I am going to the office so I clean my desk as it is messy as hell. Plus I forgot to bring my notebook home with me so I can do my notes at home. But at least I know doing notes at work is easy to do in the office on Sundays versus on weekdays. But I would rather work from home on Sundays.

There is no place like home as home is where my cat Billie is. I would rather be home with my cat, Billie. I love my cat so much. I am so grateful for the unconditional love my cat, Billie gives me. So, for me there is no place like home because of my cat.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. I greatly appreciate that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World and Happy Caturday!!!

Breakfast of Champions for Lunch

Good Afternoon, World!!! It is now 12:00noon in the afternoon here in Seattle. I finally got food in my stomach. I order McDonalds via Grubhub. My breakfast slash lunch was pancakes, four hash browns and a hot chocolate. Billie my cat wanted me to share be this was a no share meal with Billie the cat.

As I hate my meal Billie laid next to me as I ate and listened to a podcast about Philosophy. In fact I listened to Philosophize This. In fact I’m grateful for this podcast as I am learning lots of information.

I think I need to finish this post as I am about to fall asleep. I hope you hall have great day. Peace Out, World!!!

Not Sure What Today Hold

Good Morning, World!!! I didn’t sleep at all last night. It I am not exactly why but it happens especially when one has insomnia. At least I got to spend it with Billie on my lap while I read a Star Wars book most of the night.

As for today, I am not exactly sure what today holds since I didn’t sleep last night especially since it is ten o’clock in the morning; Seattle time. I most likely will end up taking a nap at some point today. When I get no sleep, I become a cranky bucket.

Besides taking a nap I plan on reading a Star Wars book as well as Wonder Woman comic books. It appears that I am back on a reading kick once again. I think it’s partly because I don’t want to deal with the realities of what is going on in the world as well as the fact that I am getting laid of on June 3rd which is this Friday.

Another thing I plan on doing is art. Not sure what type of are and might intertwine genres of art. Of course while doing art I will be listening to music as I create it. Not exactly sure what genre of music but I think it will all depend on the genre of art I choose to do.

I do not have much more to ay in this particular post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!
