A Peaceful Way to Begin the Holiday

Good Evening, World!!! This is the time of year where many get overly stressed. Stressed about everyday life as well as the upcoming holiday a person may celebrate. Everyone celebrates different holidays as not everyone is the same faith. For me I celebrate Yule and Christmas. Christmas more of a family thing while Yule is a me thing that I celebrate with friends. I do celebrate other holidays with other friends if I’m invited to join.

Since my last blog post earlier today. I finally found a holiday book I am going to read. I haven’t started it yet but I will after this particular blog post. I started a jigsaw puzzle and got all the ends together meaning the border is done and now to work on the inside of the puzzle. I have been coloring a Hanukkah poster I am coloring for a friend in Texas. It will hopefully be done and sent to Texas for her. I did the Yule jigsaw puzzle and colored the Hanukkah poster all the while listening to Christmas music. To me this is what the holidays are suppose to be; support each other even when it is not your own faith. I am feeling very peaceful by starting my Friday with peaceful way to start the holiday season with celebrating as many faith as I can with respect.

My holiday tradition giving me some peace in my heart and a lot of love other people’s faith. I would love to learn more about other people’s faith tradition this time of year.

On that note, I hope you have great holiday season no matter what holiday you celebrate or if you don’t celebrate any. Now it’s time for me to spend more time with my cat, Billie. I sure love my can Billie. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Happy Holidays and Peace Out, World!!!

Looking Forward to Laid Back Weekend

Happy Friday, World!!! It is the day after Thanksgiving which most American call “Black Friday” due to the major sales retailers have for holidays shoppers seeking the perfect gift. Anyway, I have never liked “Black Friday” nor understand why you would want to stand in line hours before the butt crack of dawn.

On that note, I worked this more and am now off and home enjoying the company of my lovely cat, Billie. This is the time of year I pull out my winter and/or holiday jigsaw puzzles and start doing one or two of them. I also pull out a holiday book to read. I already started on one of my holiday jigsaw puzzles. I am not exactly sure what holiday book I will read. I am going to be coloring a holiday poster.

The weather in Seattle today sucks but it is the “normal” Seattle weather. Even though I currently don’t have a holiday book to read, I do have book that I am reading. So, I think I will make some hot tea and curl up in a blanket or two with my cat Billie on my lap as I read.

In fact I think this weekend is going to be a curl up and read type of weekend. Or at least stay in my pajama’s and do puzzles. I love this type of weather sometimes because it gives me an excuse to read, do puzzles, do art and just hang out in my pajama’s with my cat Billie.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciative from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Happy Holidays and Peace Out, World!!!

It Has Been a Great Weekend

Good Evening, World!!! It is barely after six in the evening here in Seattle, Washington. As the title of this blog post states; it has been a great weekend. Actually it has been a pretty awesome weekend. First things first I had a great night sleep on Friday which led me to sleep in on Saturday morning to nine o’clock in the AM. Waking up that late is not very common for me and am beyond grateful for it especially since Billie my cat allowed me to sleep that late. I also had a great night sleep last night, Saturday. I did need to get up at eight in morning this morning (Sunday) so I could attend my regular morning shift volunteering at PAWS Cat City.

Okay, now let’s get back to how awesome yesterday (Saturday) was. I started off sleeping in longer than I normally do especially with a cat that likes to be waking me up an hour or two earlier than nine in morning. Spent the day mostly being able to read a book with my cat, Billie on my lap. Later yesterday (Saturday) afternoon/evening, I spent time volunteering at PAWS Cat City. Saturday afternoon/evening is not my typical shift but every time I do a shift my mood improves even if I am already in a great mood. When I got home from volunteering yesterday (Saturday) afternoon/evening, I of course payed attention my awesome cat, Billie. I then went online and went to Amy Grant’s website to see if she was going to do any Christmas concerts here in the Seattle area. Sadly, she is not however she is going to be on tour next year and will be holding a concert in Bremerton, Washington which is a ferry ride away from Seattle. When I saw that she (Amy Grant) will be in concert in Bremerton on March 14, 2023, I bought a ticket and booked a hotel room. I’m going to be staying in a hotel as I don’t want to worry about missing last ferry of the night back to Seattle. Needless to say I am beyond ecstatic that I will be seeing Amy Grant in concert. On that note, it took me about a half an hour to start calming down with all the excitement of knowing I will be going to an Amy Grant concert so I could continue reading the book I was reading earlier in the day.

Now on to today. I woke up earlier than I wanted due to my cat, Billie, wanting wet food as well as wanting to play. Despite waking up earlier than I desired, I had a really good night sleep. After feeding and playing with Billie, I ate breakfast and got ready for my volunteer shift at PAWS Cat City. I, of course went to my volunteer shift this morning and immensely enjoyed my shift as always. I love volunteering and giving back to my community. I especially love volunteering at PAWS Cat City. After, volunteering I got take out of Orange Chicken from a local Asian restaurant and ate part of it here at home. I will eat the rest after I am done writing and posting this particular blog post. After eating lunch I read some more of the book I was reading yesterday. In fact reading is what I have been doing most of the day and Billie was on my lap a good portion of that time. Now, I am writing this post. In fact I am almost done writing this particular post as I am getting hungry for dinner.

I really do not have much else to say for this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciative from my perspective that you, the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Hump Day (Wednesday) Ramblings (Part One)

Good Morning, World!!! Well what is left of morning. Only 45-minutes left of morning here in Seattle.Well, I am not in Seattle currently but am in a suburb of Seattle called Lynnwood. I am in Lynnwood visiting my grandpa and doing my laundry. Also, I am helping my grandpa with some household chores he can’t get done due to age. He would have my uncles help since they live with him but one works during the day and the other sleeps during the day due to working at night. Anyway, I am enjoying my time with my grandpa even though he is taking a nap at the moment.

When my grandpa picked me up at (my) home in Seattle, took me to get my meds. One of which is for anxiety, the other for PTSD and the last one for sleep. Insurance was being jerks about filling all three meds stating that I need “prior authorization” when I never needed it before on these three meds. Thankfully, it got straightened out and that being inform that the “prior authorization” was a mistake for the meds I picked up.

After picking up my medicine, my grandpa took me out to breakfast. We went to a place called the Blue Star Cafe in the Wallingford neighborhood in Seattle. It is right next to Archie McPhee’s. Archie McPhee’s is famous in Seattle. Well, anyway, enough about Archie’s, my grandpa’ loved the Blue Star Cafe. It take a lot for my grandpa to be “impressed” with a restaurant. He wants to take the family there which means him (my grandpa), my dad, my two uncles and myself.

After I am done writing this particular blog post I am going to put the load of laundry that is in the washer machine into the dryer and then put my last load in the washing machine. On that note, I will start reading a book called Enchantment by Orson Scott Card. It is going to be weird reading without my cat, Billie not being around as I am at my grandpa’s and he is at home. Oh how I miss my cat but I know I will be back home later today. I love my cat as well as love reading.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is really appreciative from my end of things that you read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Happy Hump Day (Wednesday)!!! Peace Out, World!!!

Struggling & Making an Effort to Feel Better Emotionally

Good Afternoon, World!!! I’ve been struggling with PTSD and Depression the last couple of weeks. Partly because I lost my new job and mainly due to some traumatic events in my life that don’t count losing a job. I’ve been applying for new jobs because I need the money to pay the bills even though I know of resources I can go to to help.

I’ve been applying to jobs in fast food even thought I don’t want to work fast food or retail but I need the money to pay the bills. I would rather work as a peer specialist or in the human service feild but right now a job is job and I can’t be too picky right so I can pay bills.

Things that I plan on doing are DBT skills and new hobbies like Latch hooking or attempting to teach myself. I also plan on doing some art by coloring and reading some books. And of course reading some books. I also have a twenty minute check in via phone with my therapist later today. Last but not least doing art work with coloring and spending time with my cat Billie.

I don’t have much more to say. I do want to thank you for reading my blog and hope I’m not boring anyone of you. If it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. So thank you for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Getting Back Into the Swing of Things

Good Afternoon, World!!! I know I’ve mentioned that my new job didn’t work out for me so, I am applying for new job. I’m also going to go try to get back on Disability through Social Security and will be going to DSHS to get food stamps and hopefully some money till I get a job or disability. I’ve already applied for jobs. I’m just l waiting to hear back since it has only been less than three days for applying for six jobs. Yes, six jobs in three days. I need the money to pay the bills including the rent.

As far as getting back into things, I want to learn new things and start back into getting back into recovery focused stuff. One of the things I’m getting back into is blogging as well a recovery related workbooks. I am also going to read books on the regular basis. I will also be doing some basic math and pre-algebra math as I feel like it is something I need. Yes I know how to do math but I just want to improve it. I’m also going to learn how to do tarot cards. I will not only teach myself but have friends help me as well as watch YouTube video’s.

So, I think that is a good start get back in the swing of things. Plus if I get a job, I will be in the swing of things already but I would just need to to adjust my schedule around. I’m grateful I have time to start all this but sad I don’t have a job or disability coming in money wise to pay bills.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Happy Weekend and Peace Out, World!!!

Plans to Make a Better Future

Right now I have a lot of desires to improve my life. Of course my cat Billie Dean helps improve my life. I love him so very much. I know he loves me very much as well. He has kept me stable the last two and half years. I love him so much and wish his dental work wasn’t so expensive.

I am also teaching myself tarot card in hopes it will give me a better direction in my life. I also have a tarot journal to help with it creating a life worth living. A life worth living is something I desire.

Therapy helps build a life worth living as long as doing self help books. I just want to be come a better self even if therapy and self help books are helpful.

Another thing that helps me is applying for jobs a reading. I hope to get a lot done next week. I don’ have much more to say except thank you for reading my blog. it it greatly appreciated from my end of things. Again thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World and have an awesome weekend.

Head Full of Shit in the Middle of the Night

My head is full of shit right now and not sure how to deal with it when you cute ass cat named Billie wants to “help” blog with me. He is kindly walking on the keyboard to find a comfy spot on it to lay down and take a nap. I love my Billie so much and am beyond grateful that I am the receiver of his unconditional love. I love him to the moon and back.

My head is so full of shit the only thing I could think of was read comic books, paint and listen music. Specifically my recovery play list. In fact I start back to painting a piece of art that I thought was finished years ago but the universe had something else to say about it.

Add more yellow and green. Attempted to paint purple around the black hole as it is getting smaller and that is a great thing for my recovery.

I don’t have much more to say except that the shit is still in my head but it is a lot less after listening to music, reading comic books and paint. And of course Billie helped a great deal as well. I do want to thank you for reading my blog as if it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog I would not be writing it so thank you for reading it. I hope you have a great Thursday ahead of you as you all deserve to be happy. Peace Out, World!!!
