U-District Street Fair 2019 of two people with cat mask on. On playing the accordion and the other playing a viola (maybe it’s a violin).
Hello!!! This is a a local street fair in the University District neighborhood of Seattle. This picture was back in 2019 months before the pandemic of Covid-19 hit. Sadly, the U-District Street Fair was cancelled for 2020 and 2021. Thankfully it came back this year; 2022. I attended this year but forgot to take pictures so I decided to use this picture. I hope you find it as amusing as I do and yes I had the permission to post.
A sunset taken from my home. I looked out my west window and saw this wonderful sunset. I admit at first I thought it was fire but quickly realized it was and is a beautiful sunset.
I had gotten home from doing something and the first thing I noticed was the sunset outside my west window. It was and is so beautiful I had to take a picture of it and am glad to be able to share you with all of you. I do have to say the photo doesn’t due the beauty justice but at least you can still see the beauty. I love when I am home and see this type of beauty.
A picture of Billie Dean the Kat who is the featured guest
Good Morning, World!!! I know it is weird to have a cat or any animal as a featured guest on a blog. My plan is to ask him questions and answer them the way I think he would answer them as he were able to speak human and not just meow like the cat he is. Here is the “interview.”
Me: How did we originally meet?
Billie: We met while you doing a regular volunteer shift at PAWS Cat City.
Me: Was it love at first sight for you?
Billie: I think it was love at first sight for the both of us. I know you love my crinkly ear and you can’t deny that.
Me: When you came home with me, how did you feel?
Billie: Do you really need to ask that question? You know I love you unconditionally.
Me: What can I do better as your parent?
Billie: You can feed me at the butt crack of dawn when I ask for it then. Hell, you can feed me whenever I ask for it even if there is still food in the bowl.
Me: You do realize I’m not going to get up at the butt crack of dawn to feed you when I know you have food?
Billie: Yes, but do you remember who runs this home?
Me: Of course I do. You run this home, I just pay the bills.
Billie: I love you but I’m done with this interview. It’s time for another nap.
Well, whenever it comes to a map as your muse assignment, I don’t use the “typical map” as it doesn’t seem very interesting to me so I find maps such as above the focuses on a topic and doesn’t use the “typical” map style. I chose one on affirmations because they seem to help me with my recovery especially now that I am dealing with imposter syndrome due to the new job.
In fact this particular map has me inspired to look over my affirmation and say a few out loud. I might even a new affirmations to my list. I hope this inspires to continue and/or create affirmations to say on the daily basis.
Good Morning, World!!! I am anxious as hell as today is my first day at my job site. Yes, last week was my first official week at work but it was all training and mostly online. I know I will do fine but I am still scared. I just want to do good be what they expect me to be.
I am also nervous about the public transportation part of getting to work. I haven’t taken public transportation since before Covid but I either took a Lyft to work or worked from home. So, I am a little nervous as it would be way too much money to take a Lyft to work.
The other reason why I am nervous is I am worried about leaving my cat Billie Dean home by himself for so long. He is such a lap cat and a needy cat that I worry about being gone so long. Plus, I’m a little needy myself especially for my cat Billie. I love my Billie so much.
I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. I hope everyone has a good week at work. Peace Out, World!!!
It is five o’clock in the morning Seattle time and still haven’t slept yet. Good ole insomnia is kicking my ass tonight. That besides the point. Today’s my brother’s birthday and I made him a care package but I don’t where to send it as has done his disappearing act again.
Anyway I took a four hour training on First Aid, CPR and AED. I needed the first aid and CPR for work and found out if I’m strained on AED I get a raise so yeah me. On that note the four training could have been down in two hours but that is my opinion.
I better try and get some sleep. Peace Out, World!!!
Good Sunday Morning, World from Seattle, Washington, USA. It is two o seven in the morning as I start this lovely post. I would rather be sleeping soundly like my cat Billie Dean is right now.. In fact he is snoring. Snoring is normal for him.
Lets start why I’m probably up before the but crack of dawn which would be work tomorrow (Monday). I go into my work site for the first time I go into my actual job site and I have anxiety over it. Not sure why but I think it’s because I want to do a good job at what I do and proof my supervisor and myself that I can do the job.
On that note, I will be volunteering at PAWS Cat City later this morning and am proud to say that Boris got adopted Friday morning. If he wasn’t FIV positive and more lovey dovey than my Billie Boy I would have add him to the family.
My other plans to do today is to do a math workbook to freshen up on my math skills. I also plan on doing a mindfulness workbook to help me with being more mindful of the moment and maybe start a mindfulness group at work if it’s the type of recovery work I can do at the Triage center. I’m also going to work on a workbook specifically for mental health recovery.
As part of my self care besides volunteering at PAWS Cat City, I’ll do some art work by coloring. And of course spending time with my cat Billie.
Hello, World!!! It’s been a long week. It’s been a long week. It started with me volunteering on Sunday as I normally do. We were slammed due to it being “kitten season.” The place I volunteer at has a super sweet lovable senior kitty who surprisingly hasn’t been adopted yet.
Then I started my job on Monday. It’s been a week full of training and my brain hurts from everything I learned this past week. Best part was having yesterday (Friday) off so I did an extra volunteer shift. I love me some kitten time but I love my Billie so much.
Then today I took a training to get certified in First Aid and CPR which is required by my employer. I had to pay for the training but I’m okay with that especially since it included AED training. To find out, I will get a “few cent raise” for the AED training or so I’m told. Weather or not I get the raise having all three certifications will help make me more employable.
All I need to do now is get my food handler’s permit and I am all set in what I need which will be easy to attain since I needed one for working at Safeway. On that note I just realized I need to show proof on auto insurance but since I don’t have a car I don’t have any. I still might have to get it if I’m required to drive a company car but if that is the case then I get to use auto insurance for tax purpose’s then.
Have a great rest of your weekend and Peace Out, World!!!
In all honesty as much as recreating a single day is tempting but in reality, it would change I am today. If it wasn’t for all the ups, downs and in betweens I would be a different person as many others would be different as well. As shitty as our world is I don’t know if it would be a good idea.
On that note moving from Anaheim, California to the Seattle area of Washington (State) at one time would have been a day I would have wanted to recreate because I didn’t want to leave my friends in California. Normal teenage stuff there.
As far as going to Nashville I don’t regret it has I had some good time as well as some traumatic times. and still wouldn’t trade my decision for the world by going to Nashville. I did a lot of growing up there and maturing.
So in reality as sucky as some moments are and how awesome other moments are, I would not want to recreate another day or I wouldn’t be who I am today.
