Too Tired to Write (& to Sleep)

Good Morning, World!!! I am just way too tired to write much less sleep. Hell, I am even too tired too tired to focus on the anxiety and depression I have dealing with. First I get woken up by a neighbor pulling the fire alarm due to other neighbors not wearing their mask.

Now I am dealing with three neighbors who live on my floor in different apartments screaming at each other for bullshit reasons. I all I want is to go to sleep. It’s bad enough that I have insomnia but my neighbors sure haven’t been helping me with the sleep I need tonight, It is frustrating as fucking hell that I am unable to sleep.

Despite not being able to sleep, I have been listening to a podcast. A podcast about philosophy. Specifically, I have been listening to the philosophy podcast called “Philosophize This.” I am learning so much from this podcast and feel like I am getting an informal education from in it.

I am also feeling that I am getting an informal education from reading the book by Plato called “The Republic and Other Works.” It’s about Plato’s theory on philosophy and I feel like I am learn a lot from this book as well as the podcast I am listening to. I feel like reading about and listening to a podcast is giving me an education I would be getting if I was not able to sleep for various reasons.

Of course, my cat Billie Dean is now wanting me to give him some attention. Hopefully the type of attention to help me fall back to sleep. I love my cat Billie so much. He is such a sweet cuddle bug of a cat.

I do not now have much more to discuss in this particular blog post as I am too tired to write any more. I also want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Our, World!!!

Getting Some Sleep but Not Much

Good Morning, World!!! I have finally gotten some sleep but sadly it has been interrupted sleep. It wasn’t interrupted due to insomnia but due to three of my neighbors not getting along and having many arguments in the hallway. Sadly these three neighbors have been arguing with each other in the mental of the hallway as the live in separate apartments and it felt like they were doing to annoy the rest of the floor I live on.

Anyway, it got worse to where violence got involve and it was noticeable to I looked out my door to makes sure. At this point in time, I came back into my own apartment and call the police. I was informed that I was the sixth person to call about it and it could be up to an hour. When I informed the police dispatcher that there was a weapon involved I was lectured for not saying something sooner about that when I thought it was their job to ask. Weather it was the dispatcher fault or mine about the weapon involved the police showed in less than five minutes.

The cops showed up and finally did something right and arrest the rest person and without causing violence despite my neighbors anger caused violence on another neighbor. The violence was caused by high emotions due to a misunderstanding that caused multiple arguments. The neighbor who caused the violence went to jail while the neighbor that got the crap beat out or them went to the hospital. The third neighbor was informed to call the police the next time around and not get involved.

After all this my own emotions are all over the place. I am hoping my emotions will level out so I can get some sleep. Of course my cat has been helping keep my emotions not as bad as they would be without my cat. Oh how I love my cat, Billie so much.

I don’t have much more to say in this particular post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you my reader do read my blog. If it wasn’t for you, the reader, reading my blog, I would not be reading my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my hear for reading my blog. I hope you have a great Sunday ahead of you. Peace Out, World!!!

A Great Start to the Day

Good Morning, World!!! Despite not getting much sleep last night, I am having a great start to my day. I woke up with my cat, Billie Dean laying next me in my bed staring at me. Usually when I wake up with Billie next to me he doesn’t stare at me. When he does stare at me when I wake up it usually means it is going to be a great day.

Another way today started of great was a couple of my neighbors who are dear friends to me took me out to breakfast. They even paid for it which as an awesome treat for me. I am grateful to have wonderful neighbors who are great friends. Friends and cats make this world a better place to live.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Have an Awesome Day and Peace Out, World!!!

Everyday Inspiration; Day 10: Let the Scene Write Itself

I am currently home in my apartment where I can see outside the window as well as able to see my cat and the television. Right now there is major traffic on the five freeway as I live in apartment across the street from the Interstate five highway. Traffic is worse going southbound than it is going northbound. Not sure why but it always seems to be that way even when it is the end of the work day and many people drive north home.

As I am staring out the window I hear some neighbors who are on the patio. I look and it appears that they are talking as the smoke a cigarette. At least they aren’t playing loud music or talking loudly. I hope I just didn’t jinx myself with other neighbors who like to be loud on the patio.

My cat, Billie Dean, just got my attention by meowing. He heard birds from a commercial on the television. He is now meowing at the television looking intently at it. I have to make sure that he doesn’t try to attack my television as it is a flat screen and he is able to knock it over. Oh how I love my cat, Billie.

Phuck, My Neighbor

Good Morning, World!!! I am fucking livid at a particular neighbor of mine. A neighbor of mine has pulled the fire alarm three different times tonight. He pulled it because other neighbors were not wearing their mask due to Covid-19. This isn’t the first time this neighbor has done this and it is becoming a pattern. Apparently, this becoming more frequent and the police and apartment management aren’t doing shit about it.

The police say they can’t arrest this neighbor because it is only a misdemeanor and the county jail are not book misdemeanors due to Covid-19. Well the neighbor who is pulling the fire alarm are putting other people lives at stake and it seem like nobody gives a shit.

I don’t appreciate not being able to sleep because of this neighbor. I need sleep as well as my other neighbors do. Apparently the apartment management has “talked” with this neighbor but that is all or at least that is how it appears to me and other neighbors.

I don’t have much more to say as I want to try to get some sleep tonight. Thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. Without you reading my blog, I wouldn’t be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for my reading my blog. I hope this day will become better. Peace Out, World!!!

Much Needed Time Away

Hello, World!!! It is ten fifteen at night in my corner of the world. Currently, I am in Bremerton, Washington. I decided to take a ferry here from Seattle and stay the night. As much as I love living in Seattle, sometimes city life can get a bit overwhelming so I am staying the night in a hotel on Bremerton’s waterfront.

Even though I am only going to be gone tonight, I am having a neighbor who has become a good friend look in on my cat, Billie Dean. Yes, I realize Billie will be okay with me just being gone overnight, I just wanted to make sure nothing happens. Plus my neighbor really likes Billie. I know from becoming friends with my neighbor that he really loves cats and it always brightens his day when I take Billie to say hi to him. So, having my neighbor check on Billie not only eases my mind but helps this good friend.

I know what I have done here in Bremerton is something I could do at home however just getting a break from the everyday things is helpful. One of the things I have done is read. I am reading a Star Wars book. A book that has me very engrossed and engaged. I read the Star Wars book outside for about an hour on Bremerton’s waterfront and enjoyed every minute of it.

After reading, I went out to dinner which was nice. The food at the restaurant, I went to was great which is why I went. Every time I come to Bremerton, I try to eat at the restaurant I at tonight. I highly recommend Bremerton Bar and Grill if you are ever in Bremerton, Washington.

Once I got back to my hotel room after eating dinner, I decided to do some art work. Actually, the type of art I did was color. Coloring is more portable than other forms of art or at least for me it is. I love to color and it helps me get into a positive state of mind.

As I was coloring I decided to listen to one of my favorite podcast on the subject of philosophy. The podcast I listened to as I colored was Philosophize This. The way the podcaster, Stephen West discusses philosophy makes the subject interesting and easy to comprehend. Or at least that is my person opinion of Philosophize This.

I do not have much more to talk about in this blog post except that I really needed this time away and miss my cat, Billie. Before, I end the post, I want to thank you for reading my blog. I am greatly appreciative that you read my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday night. I also hope you all get a good night of sleep. Good Night and Peace Out, World. Don’t let the bed bugs bite.

4th of July

Happy 4th of July, World!!! Yes, I know the 4th of July is an American holiday but I just wanted to wish everyone a happy fourth. I, normally don’t mind the Fourth of July but this year I am slightly irritated by it. I think I am irritated by it because the symptoms of my mental health diagnosis have increased which is why I am not going into work today. I informed my employer that due to my disability I can not go into work today. Thankfully, they appear to be okay with it especially since they were able to get coverage for my shift.

As much as I wish my mental health symptoms weren’t acting up, in a weird way I am glad they are. I am glad they are because my neighbor has been shooting off bottle rockets and other fireworks in front of the building as well as on the community patio which I have windows over looking both. Billie Dean my cat is not a big fan of the fireworks being so close. Billie doesn’t appear to be bothered when the fireworks are farther away but when they are just outside our window then he minds especially since we live on the second floor. It is illegal to set off fireworks in Seattle and my neighbor has been setting them off since Thursday evening. Sadly, the Seattle Police are not doing shit about them. What good does having laws in place when they are not enforce them? I know the police have higher priority calls to take care of but if something happens like a fire or an injury they they will have to respond. All I know is if a bottle rocket hits my window and causes damage, I will not be a happy camper.

I best be going as I am getting angry and don’t want to rant as if I do my anger might increase. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Peace Out, World!!!

A Challenging Week With a Good Ending

Good Morning, World!!! It is the middle of the night on a Friday night, Saturday morning and like every week I am staying up all night. I am staying up all night to sleep all day due to working a twelve plus hour night shift on Saturday nights.

It’s been a rough week for me. Tuesday night a neighbor of mine grabbed me in the vagina as I was passing him in the hallway to get to my apartment and I ended up with an injured wrist in the process of trying to get away. I went to the emergency room to get my wrist x-rayed. Thankfully it is broken. When I got home I called the Seattle Police Department and waited for the police to show up. Sadly, after four hours of waiting I fell asleep and they called. I didn’t get to the phone in time but they did leave a voicemail saying I would need to do the report online. Fuck the cops. If I wanted to do the report online I would have done it. I wanted to do an in person report due to the fact I wanted the cops to see how badly bruised my wrist was due to trying to flee from the situation.

Anyway the social worker at the hospital called my therapist and left him a message about what happened. My therapist emailed me asking if I wanted to check-in with him and gave me times he was available. Anyway I checked-in with him and we discussed ways to keep myself safe as well as why I decided to not file a police report online. It was only a half an hour check-in but I will be having a phone session with him next week and will discuss reporting it to the police.

As I mentioned my therapist and I discussed ways to keep myself safe as well to continue to live life and not isolate. So, I decided to go with a good friend of mine to the silent protest here in Seattle. I am beyond grateful that I attended with my friend. The cool thing about it is we were introduced to the Seattle Police Chief by my friends boss. The police chief actually participated in the silent protest. I may not be a big fan of the police but I am grateful that Seattle’s Police Chief actually appears to care about her community and the people she serves. Anyway, my friend brought me home and I made him dinner to go. He was grateful for the dinner.

I am beyond grateful that I attended the silent protest as I was able to stand with my friend and support him as well as contribute to such a worthy movement. As grateful as I am that I went, I am grateful that my cat has be helpful to me in regards to what happened to me. My cat, Billie is such a blessing to me and has helped me stay stable during this challenging time.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. I hope everyone has an awesome Saturday. Most importantly I hope everyone has a great weekend ahead of them. Peace Out, World!!!

The Communities I Call Family

Good Morning, World!!! As I sit here at work, I cannot help but think of how certain people become like family to you. I’ll use work as an example. When you work with people everyday, you become like family. For instance, the Saturday night shelter crew has each other’s backs when needed. We build one another up. I guess I say my colleagues are like family because we check up on each other even when we are off work.

My work colleagues aren’t the only family I have. Another family I have happens to be the community I have created while volunteering at PAWS. Specifically, PAWS Cat City and folks on my volunteer shift. That includes both employees and other volunteers. I guess my love for cats and other animals have helped me find more people to call family.

Besides my work and volunteer family, I will have to say my neighbors are family. As dysfunctional as we are in my apartment building we are a type of family. We may not always get along but when something happens we are there for each other; like families should be.

Then last but not least, my cat is family. Lil Gertie, the cat that crossed the rainbow bridge on Thanksgiving Day of last year (2019) was and still is considered my family. She was there when people let me down. Hell, she is still with me. She is my guardian angel. I truly believe that Lil Gertie played a major role in the adoption of my current cat, Billie Dean. I say this because Lil Gertie had two crinkly ears and Billie has one crinkly ear. I also believe that both Lil Gertie and Billie chose me to be their family. Being chosen by an animal to be their furrever family is an honor. I am beyond grateful that I was Lil Gertie’s family for the last year and a half of her life. She will always have special place in my heart. I am also beyond grateful that Billie is my family. I am grateful to call my cat family.

As I end this particular blog post, I hope you all ponder about who or what you call family in this life. For me family is a melting pot of people (and animals) that come into my life in various ways like I mentioned in this post. I want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you chose to read my blog even if this is the only post you ever read of my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. I hope everyone has an awesome Sunday ahead of them. Peace Out, World!!!

A Before I Leave for Work Post

Good Evening, World!!! I am up for the day and mostly ready for work. Overall, I slept pretty well. Even though I woke up earlier than I would have liked at least I know I woke up naturally and not by rude and noisy neighbors. In fact this was the first Saturday that I was not woken up by the same two loud and noisy neighbors on the patio in about a month. Just grateful to not be woken up so rudely.

As I type this blog post, my cat, Billie Dean is laying in my lap. I love the fact that he is in my lap at moment because my anxiety is high at the moment. Also, another reason I love the fact he is in my lap is that I won’t be able have cuddle time with him tonight due to the fact I’ll be at work for more that twelve hours.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I just want to thank you all for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Have a great rest of your weekend. Peace Out, World!!!
