More Randomness About The Same Ole Shit

Good Afternoon, again, World!!! I am so excited for the conference next week that I created a painting expressing how I feel about attending the conference. Painting is not just for me to express my negative emotions but to express the positive emotions as well. I am thinking about taking the painting to the conference to share with people. Art is so helpful for me to express my emotions.

Even though I don’t check into the hotel to three in the afternoon on Monday, I have started packing. Which reminds me I have to get my refills for my meds on Monday before I leave for the conference. I already know what to pack but making sure I get my meds are the major thing I can’t forget to pack as I have refill to pick up on Monday.

I am also getting excited about my job interview for next Friday, August 31st for a peer specialist position. Yes, the commute will not be fun as it is about an hour each way on the bus. But on the bright side if I get the job, I will be traveling the opposite direction of the main part of the traffic nightmare since everyone tends to go toward Seattle while I’ll be going the opposite direction of most everyone else. I am not saying there won’t be traffic the direction I am going in, its just the traffic going into Seattle is worse. Look, I am getting ahead of myself as if I already got the job but I don’t know if I even got the job because I haven’t had the interview yet.

Thank you for reading!!! It is really appreciative from my end of things. Like I said in my last post, I hope to blog about the conference during my free time at the conference. I hope everyone has a great Friday. Peace Out, World.

Missed My Therapy Appointment & Other Random Shit

Good Afternoon, World!!! Let’s start at the beginning with me not getting much sleep. I will refer you to my last two post regarding the lack of sleep even though it did turn into a fun time.  Due to the lack of sleep, I fell asleep and missed my appointment with my therapist. He appeared to be understanding. We rescheduled our appointment for Monday at eleven in the morning. Which gives me plenty of time to be able to do last minute packing and say goodbye to Lil Gertie, my cat, for a couple of day due to going to a conference that is geared toward individuals who work in the mental health field as Peer Specialist/Counselor. My therapist thinks it “awesome” that I am going to the conference. He thinks it would help me with the symptoms of my mental health challenges.

Since I brought up the peer conference I am attending, I am looking forward to it just like I did this year.  I even got a scholarship for the attendance fee of the conference as well as one for the hotel I am staying at. Food is included with the conference fee. The only thing I have to pay for is travel which is easy for me since all I have to do is use my bus pass to use the Light Rail. So more or less the entire conference is free for me due to the scholarship. Part of the reason I am getting a scholarship is because I am helping volunteer again this year. I will be able to go to the sessions just like last year so I will be learning stuff again. I love getting some education when I can even when it is at a conference.

Since I am going to be gone for the conference for a few days, I do have a couple of babysitters to take care of my cat. My friend (who is a neighbor) will look after Lil Gertie, my cat on Monday evening as well as Wednesday morning while my grandpa will take care of her (my cat) on Tuesday around noonish. I have my basis covered when it comes to people taking care of Lil Gertie (my cat). And I don’t just trust anyone to take care of Lil Gertie.

I have loads more to share but I will blog again later on. I also hope to blog about the conference when I have time to do so. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciative on my end of things. Peace Out, World.

A Very Interesting Sleepover

Good Morning, World!!! It sure has been an interesting night in my apartment building. Last night started out very interesting when a neighbor who appeared to be in a mental health crisis started pulling the fire alarm pull stations setting off the building fire alarm on multiple occasions. As time went on a handful of my neighbors and I decided that we would just have a sleepover and my apartment was the chosen apartment. The sleepover included both humans and pets. Both dogs and cats. If fact all the pets are considered emotional support animals. Anyway, the neighbor that decided to pull the fire alarm pull stations did so for about two and a half hours before the police decided to put them on a seventy two hour hold.

After he was finally stopped my neighbors and their animals still stayed over night in my apartment. We had a night full of laughter. Yes, we did get some sleep and all the humans are now awake at six thirty in the morning in my corner of the world. One of my neighbors fixing breakfast. Apparently we are having biscuits and gravy for breakfast. So, I am looking forward to breakfast.

After everyone gets fed my neighbors will go back to their respective apartments. As nice as it was to have people stay the night, I am more than ready to have my own space back and I am sure Lil Gertie, my cat, feels the same way especially since she is not a big cat or dog fan. She did quite well dealing with the other animals last night. She tolerated the situation and I am thrilled she was able to do so.

As everyone leaves I will get ready and go to see my therapist. I can’t wait to see my therapist to explain to him the events of last night.

I don’t have much else to say as I was to spend time with my neighbors. Have a good Friday. Peace, Out, World!!!

Midnight Randomness

Hello, World!!! I personally think I would be asleep right now if a neighbor who is dealing with the symptoms of their mental health challenges didn’t keep pulling the pull stations to set of the building fire alarm system. It is pissing a lot of people of yet the fire department can’t do much about it and the police are trying to put the neighbor on a seventy two hour hold.

As annoying as the fire alarm going off constantly, my neighbors are getting together and making an annoying situation into a good situation. The noise may be bothersome to us humans but its worse for our animals. So, one of my neighbors and I decided to get a handful of other neighbors to come to my apartment and have a sleepover. Humans and animals are all invited. Thankfully, the neighbors that are staying over are good friends. Most importantly the animals are getting along which is surprising because a couple of animals including my cat really don’t get along with other animals. Maybe it’s because the animals involved with the sleepover are all emotional support animals and are putting their issues aside to help us humans.

As far as my cat, Lil Gertie, she is staying close to me because the constant going off of the fire alarm is quite anxiety for me. I am proud of Lil Gertie for putting up with so many people in my apartment and most importantly tolerating the other animals staying overnight. She is extremely being tolerant of the sixth month old puppy who wants to play with her.

On a side note, I have an appointment with my therapist later today since it is officially Friday since it is now twelve midnight in my corner of the world. I sure will have a story to tell regarding the fire alarm constantly going off and having a sleepover with neighbors and their animals at my place. I’m sure he’ll get a kick out of how we decided to make a difficult situation into a positive situation. I am looking forward my session with my therapist later on today.

Thank you again, for reading my blog. It is very much appreciated. I am trying to mix things up when it comes to the topics I discuss with you. I am hoping that the more I mix things up sharing my story with you that it will keep you all interested in reading my blog. I hope everyone gets a good nights sleep or at least a better nights sleep than myself an neighbors are getting. I really need to get going now because the fire alarm is going off again and would still be posting about the issue but I need to evacuate since the fire alarm is going off once again. Have a good nights sleep. Peace out, World!!!

Annoyance of the Fire Alarms Being Pulled For No Reason

Good Evening, World. Well it’s late evening and one of my neighbors is thinking it will be fun to annoy their neighbors and their pets by pulling the pull stations to set off the building fire alarm.

As it wasn’t annoying enough that the management company did fire alarm testing earlier today which freaked me out but freaked out my cat, Lil Gertie. I don’t need my poor cat in distress again do to some idiot of a neighbor who wants to play a prank by continuously pulling the fire alarm pull stations. It’s not making very many people very happy with the person.

On a plus note my neighbors and I planning on making the best of the situation. We don’t know what the best is going to be yet as it is still in the works. I just know plans are in the works to make a bad situation into a good situation.

On a side note the police and firefighters are getting a little annoyed with having to keep coming out due to someone pulling the fire alarm pull stations just for fun. I don’t think its fun nor funny when it triggers me and freaks out my poor cat, Lil Gertie.

I should get going and help plan with my neighbors on what we plan on doing to help settle our nerves and anxieties with the frequent fire alarms going off.

Thank you for reading my blog. It is much appreciated. I hope everyone gets a good night sleep. Have a good night. Peace Out, World!!!

Birthday Dinner With Grandpa

Good Evening, World!!! I just spent the last two hours with my grandpa as today is his 88th birthday. It was an extremely difficult birthday for him as it is his first birthday dinner since my grandma’s death on Valentines Day of this year. As difficult as it was for him and I both, he really enjoyed himself. As much as my grandpa wishes my grandma was still around to cook him his birthday dinner he appeared extremely grateful that I stepped up to the plate and made it for him. It was nice to have a meal with just my grandpa and myself.

Over dinner we discussed me going back to work and seeing if I was ready to go back to work. He agrees that I am ready to go back to work and he is proud of me that I am seeking out jobs in the field I love and finally getting interviews. Even when the interviews are far in between each other at least I am getting them. He might take me to my job interview on August 31st so I don’t have to take an hour bus ride each way. Of course if I get the job I will have to take the bus but  I am okay with that.

Thank you for reading my blog. It is very much appreciated. I hope you have a great rest of your Thursday. I am glad that my grandpa at a great birthday despite our grief over my grandma. Have a great weekend. Peace Out, World!!!

Combating Depression & Other Randomness

Good Afternoon, World. Right now I am combating both depression and grief. I am really missing my paternal grandma today. Or at least that is how the wave of grief is having it for me today. I am also combating off some depression. Not sure if it is the regular depression I deal with or if it is depression related to the grief or maybe a combination of both.

To help me fight off the depression and grief I have been doing some household chores to make my apartment cleaner. Cleaner so when my grandpa comes over for his birthday dinner it’s not as messy as it usually is. I am making my grandpa meatloaf for his birthday because that is what he wants even though it’s a “simple meal” it is one that he “enjoys.” Being able to do something for my grandpa for his birthday instead of giving him something is something he would rather have as the memories are better than material things.

Another way I have been combating the depression and grief is getting ready to go to a conference early next week that is solely for Peer Specialist/Counselors. Just knowing I will be with people who are in recovery with mental health challenges for two days is enough to keep me going. I will be in a hotel for two day full of peer support. In fact I also sought out peer support today for the depression and grief. That someone is the one who is the supervisor of the volunteers at the peer conference. See I got a full ride scholarship, including lodging and food just because I will be volunteering. I only have to pay for transportation which is easy because I am car pooling with someone to the conference. The power of peers is a real thing and we are going to fight against the mental health system somehow.

On a good note, and I think I have informed you of this already is that I have an interview on Friday, August 31st, 2018 for a peer specialist job. A job I am unsure about but hope I get an opportunity to get back in the swing of things. Yes, I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things work wise but am a bit nervous about going back to work. I am having some self doubts about going back to work but for me having self doubts is a normal part of my daily mental health challenges.

I should really get going as I need to start preparing to cook dinner as my grandpa will be here shortly and likes to eat relatively early. I am expecting to eat around five in the evening in my neck of the woods.

I would like to thank you again for reading my blog. It is very much appreciated from my end of things. If it wasn’t for you the reader and/or follower, I still would not be blogging. Peace Out, World!!

Just a Bunch of Randomness

Good Afternoon, World!!! Today, I am having a mixture of emotions especially when it is in regards to my paternal grandparents. I am having a huge wave of grief that I am dealing with in regards to my paternal’s grandma’s death on Valentines day of this. Today’s wave a grief hit extra hard because this is the first birthday my paternal grandfather has had my grandma by his side in over seventy years even though they were married for sixty two and a half years. My grandpa is having a rough go at it so I invited him to my place to have a birthday dinner I will make. I don’t know if I can cook meatloaf as good as my grandma but that’s what he wants for his birthday or at least what he wants for his birthday from me.  As I grieve over my grandma even six and a half months later, I celebrate my grandpa’s 88th birthday today.

On the other hand let me update you on the pain of my migraine. I did go to the hospital last night and had a bunch of test run on me because they wanted to make sure that the infection in my mouth hasn’t spread even though I informed the doctors it felt like a regular migraine. They were just be overly cautious because it turns out it was a regular ole pain in the ass migraine. My mouth infection is looking a great deal better and its starting to feel better as well. I’m still in pain from the infection but at least the pain is subsiding.

Now on to the fire alarm system and smoke detector inspection that happens every three months that ended up being a month late this time around happened today. My cat, Lil Gertie, was not a fan of the inspection. Hell, neither was I but I am sure it was worse for her and her poor lil ears. She freaked out a little bit but not as bad as I thought it would have had on her.

On the note of my cat she is helping me deal with my depression and grief at the moment. She is sitting next to me on my favorite chair as I blog this particular post. Having her cuddle up next to me while purring sure helps with both the depression and grief I am dealing with. With my emotions they way they are today, I am grateful for my cat.

I don’t have much more to say at the moment. Thank you for reading me ramble on about a bunch of randomness. I appreciate each one of you. I hope you have a great Thursday. Peace Out, World!!!

1000th Post

HELLO, WORLD!!! I am happy to announce that this is my one thousandth post. I have shared quite a bit of my life with you over the last few years. The ups and the downs of having a mental health challenge.

When I started my blog I wasn’t expecting one hundred people to follow my blog much less having four hundred and forty six people to follow my blog. Having four hundred and forty six followers may not seem much compared to other people’s blogs but to me having as many followers as I do have I am happy to have them.

Seeing my blog grow into what it has, has it amazed me. It is given other people who have mental health challenges hope. Hope that was part of why I started this blog. I’m still not sure if my blog is reaching my other targeted audience who don’t have a mental health challenge because it is my hope that those without out and mental health challenge it will help lessen the stigma of those who do have a mental health challenge.

I may not view my blog as very successful but I must have some success if I have some pretty loyal readers and/or followers. So my blog must be a success to some degree.

I want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated on my from my end of things. I hope you can an will continue to read my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

A Five Hour Nap & I Am Still Sleepy

Hello, World!!! It is just post eleven o’clock at nigh in my corner of the world. I fell asleep for a much need five or so hour nap. I just hope I can get back to sleep so I will be able to sleep through the night. My cat woke me up wanting her litter box cleaned out and most importantly to be fed her wet can food even though she has plenty of dry food to eat. Now that the kitty chores are done, I hope to go back to bed after writing the post.

On a plus note I got a call today regarding a job for a peer position. Still waiting for an email from the lady with full details about the interview but at least I know when and where it is going to be. I just need confirmation on the address and who it is going to be with.

As for the shelter counselor job the person finally emailed me back and informed be it might not be to the end of the week till I find out when I my interview with them is going be. At least she finally got back to me regarding why no interview has been set up yet.

I am still really from the roller coast ride of grief I had today regarding missing my grandma. The grief hit me extra hard today. I am not sure why but it did. I was able to talk to my therapist for a little bit regarding the grief over the phone today and that was quite helpful to me.

Thank you for reading my post. I hope everyone has a good nights sleep. I hope I can get back to sleep after a five hour nap and it being just after eleven o’clock at night in my neck of the woods. Thank you again for reading. Have a good night’s sleep. Peace Out, World!!!
