Getting Back In The Habit

Hello, World!!! It is me again. I did end up fixing some spaghetti for dinner and invited my friend from across the hall from me in my apartment building over. My friend was extremely grateful for the invite, the food and the company. We discussed a lot of topics. One which is crucial for my mental health and that is structure. As we discussed structure it occurred to me that I need to blog more and make sure it is scheduled into my day. In fact I brought up my blog to my neighbor and how I need to schedule it into my daily life. He a great suggestion of having an accountability partner and he offered to be my accountability partner for my blog and I his accountability partner for him exercising.  So, not only did I have great company for dinner, it turned into something that will be helpful for me in regards to my blog and mental health, an accountability partner.

So, now that I had time to do the dishes and to think about how to get back into the habit of blogging on the regular basis, I realize that if I do one of WordPress’s courses, it would and will be helpful. I know this from past experiences. I am planing on doing a course I have already done and plan on starting it on Monday. I plan on doing the course “Finding Your Everyday Inspiration.” It is a twenty day course and I have been told that it takes at least twenty one days to create habit. Some studies say it can take sixty days to create habit but the twenty day course will help me either way with creating a habit of blogging on the more regular basis.

Another thing I will start doing in regard to blogging is doing a Weekly Plans post every Sunday and a Weekly Check-In every Saturday. The Weekly Plans will start tomorrow (Sunday) and the Weekly Check Ins will start back up on Saturday March 9th. When I did this in the past I found it helpful for my mental health as well as keeping you my reader interested in continuing to read my blog.

I don’t have much more to say about my plans to blog more as many of you have hear this before from me. The only difference this time around is that I have an accountability partner. Oh yeah, I am also scheduling it and putting it into my calendar. I hope this time I actually follow through with it and hope you all can hold me accountable as well.

I don’t have much more to say. Thank you for reading my blog. It is very much appreciated from my end of things. I appreciate each one of you for reading. Thank you again for reading my blog. Have great rest of you Saturday night. Peace Out, World!!!

More Monday Moodiness

Hello, World!!! It is still Monday in my part of the world. I am still dealing the Monday moodiness I wrote about in my last post. I am still dealing with depression, grief and isolation as well as other not so good emotions.

I have been doing things to help me through the rough emotions since my last post. My cat is now back sitting next to me on my chair. She is purring right now and the purring is helping calm me down.

I have also done some art work. I have done some painting. I am painting something for a friend of mine to give as gift to her as she has been of great support to me. I am not finished with the painting and she has no idea I am painting her something. I hope to be able to give it to her by Thanksgiving.

I have also been writing. I have been mainly writing poetry. Poetry that I hope to share with you my reader someday but not today. Writing poetry is quite helpful for me and I wrote a poem for my grandma in regards to dealing with my grandma’s death on Valentine’s Day of this year (2018).

Thank you so much for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated. I hope to blog again tomorrow. I hope to inform you how my doctors and therapy appointments go tomorrow. Thank you again for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

1000th Post

HELLO, WORLD!!! I am happy to announce that this is my one thousandth post. I have shared quite a bit of my life with you over the last few years. The ups and the downs of having a mental health challenge.

When I started my blog I wasn’t expecting one hundred people to follow my blog much less having four hundred and forty six people to follow my blog. Having four hundred and forty six followers may not seem much compared to other people’s blogs but to me having as many followers as I do have I am happy to have them.

Seeing my blog grow into what it has, has it amazed me. It is given other people who have mental health challenges hope. Hope that was part of why I started this blog. I’m still not sure if my blog is reaching my other targeted audience who don’t have a mental health challenge because it is my hope that those without out and mental health challenge it will help lessen the stigma of those who do have a mental health challenge.

I may not view my blog as very successful but I must have some success if I have some pretty loyal readers and/or followers. So my blog must be a success to some degree.

I want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated on my from my end of things. I hope you can an will continue to read my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Just Another Boring Post

Hello, World!! I know I just posted about an hour ago however, I am bored and felt like just writing about stuff. Stuff that will be repetitive as I have post about it before and other stuff that is not so interesting.

Let’s start off with the advertisements on my blog. I have advertisements on my blog to make a little extra money. It’s not much but it is something. All people have to do is click on the advertisement and I earn a few cents. I know this might be asking a lot from you but can you all click on the advertisements if you see them. I am saving up the money to help pay for gifts for my family during the holidays.

Now on another repetitive topic of blogging. I am wanting to make more of an effort to blog more. I also want to reach more people however I am unsure of how to do that. Yes, I use tags and attempt to put different tags on topics I discuss so I can get more readership that way. I also post my post to social media accounts and hope that I get more readers that way. I am not really worried about how many “followers” I have, I just want to reach more people so I can help lessen the stigma of mental health challenges as well as give people hope who do struggle with mental health challenges.

Today, is going to be one of those low key days where I am doing nothing. By doing nothing I mean doing things that are good self care for me. Most of which are creative.

I plan on doing some art work. Most likely I will be coloring and collaging and maybe combining the two genre’s of art. I might even paint a little today but not too sure yet. I need to see what paint I may need. If I need certain paint then I will need to go to the art supply store and buy some paint. That however takes money that I may not be able to spend at the moment. Which reminds me I need to look at my budget to see if I can buy more paints and canvasses ,

Another thing I plan on doing is writing some music. I play the flute and harmonica and think it would be fun to write some duets for both instruments to play together. I know it sounds odd but I think writing the right piece for a harmonica and flute duet would be cool.

The other thing I plan on doing today is to read. I will read both the novels I am reading as well as some comic books. I most likely will finish one of the novels today or tomorrow. When it comes down to reading comic books, I will most likely be reading Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman is my favorite comic book. I do like to read other comic books but Wonder Woman is my go to comic book.

I think I bored you enough with this post so I am going to end it for now. Hopefully, I will be able to find time to blog again later today. It seems like if I blog more, the more my readers will see what I have to say next. Well, have a good Wednesday. Peace Out, World!!!

Today Marks Four Years

Good Evening, World!!! I know I just posted about the overall good day I had about an hour ago; I forgot that today marks four years since I started blogging. It is hard to believe that it has been four years since I started blogging.

In those four years it is my hope that reached out to people and educated folks to lessen the stigma of having a mental health challenge. It also comes to my conclusion that I have use my blog as a journal to give out hope. Hope to those who may feel alone in their mental health condition.

Well that is all I have to say about me blogging for four years. Have a great day. Peace out, World!!!

Late Afternoon Ramblings

Good Afternoon, World!!! I just got off the phone with my grandpa. He thinks I should start writing short stories and poems more often. He thinks I should create a book of short stories and poems I have written. I have given it a great deal of thought but I don’t know if it would be a good idea to do so. I appreciate that my grandpa thinks it would be a good idea to write a book.

I talked with my therapist supervisor today to discuss what I have planned for the weekend. She is going to relay what I told her to my therapist on Monday so when I talk with him he will know what the plan for the weekend is.

One of the things I plan on doing this weekend is attending the street fair in my neighborhood. It is a yearly event that I attend ever year for the last seventeen years. I have gone every year since I have moved to my neighborhood; rain, shine or somewhere in between. I am looking forward to the fair food. I love the food at fairs. This fair is more of an arts and crafts fair. It has no rides. I love the food. I am a self proclaimed fair foodie if there is such a thing in this world.

Thank you for reading. Peace Out, World

Blogging Through Shit

Good Morning, World!!! I am not sure what I am dealing with at the moment. One moment I am struggling and the next, I am okay. Since I am unsure what is going on with me emotionally, I tend to write in moments like this. Writing helps me process whatever the hell is going on. It helps me figure out what is going on.

As I write this post I am just going to write what is going through my head. This might be scary for you all as I am going to be blunt as hell and not hold back. Hell, what I think scares the shit out of me sometimes. The stuff coming out is not the scariest I have thought.

I am slightly worried about money for the month of May. Not as worried as I was in previous post but still worried. I know things will work out when it comes the money situation as I have people who can be of help to be if need be. I just don’t want to have to depend on them.

I wish my neighbor would turn down their stupid television. It is pissing me off and for some fucking reason it is trigger me. Why in the hell is someone’s loud television trigging me? Sounds silly but it is triggering for some odd reason.

I think I am going to read. I love reading and enjoy it immensely. I just don’t understand why it is taking me so long to read this particular book. It is an awesome book and will write a book review on it when I am finally finished with it.

I wonder who actually reads my blog. I mean is it reaching the people I want it to reach. Are people actually reading it or just “liking it” after reading a few sentences? I am trying to figure out why I only have just over three hundred followers after nearly four years of blogging. In fact I wonder if tags work sometimes. I know they must but I just wonder how many people actually go to the tags. I know I do.

I should really be doing chores right now. I need to clean my apartment. I clean my apartment once a week. Or I attempt to clean it once week. Nobody likes having to clean but it is a necessity that is part of being an adult.

I think I am going to go now. Thank you for reading. It is very much appreciated from my end. Peace Out, World!!!

Everyday Inspiration; Day 6: The Space to Write

For me the space to write varies on my mood and what I am doing. When it comes to writing for my blog, I tend write in my living room or a mom and pop coffee shop drinking hot chocolate. Writing for my blog has come easy to me as of lately but that is because I have made a habit of it. Some would say I am blogging too much and maybe they are right but I like to keep you guys updated. Writing for my blog helps with my recovery as well.

Everyday Inspiration; Day 1: I Write Because…

Good Morning, World!!! I write for a multiple reasons. Reasons, I had planned to write about and reasons that were unexpected. Let’s start by why I started my blog. I started my blog for two main reasons. The first reason was to help educate people who don’t have lived experience that folks like myself who do have lived experience can live a productive life. It may not be productive in the eyes of a “normal” person but productive from my perspective.

The second reason I started blogging was to give those who struggle with a mental health condition/challenge that there is hope in choosing to live in active recovery whatever that may look like to the individual reading. Yes, I’ve shared by heartbreak and struggles here but I’ve gotten up and wiped myself off and hope that what I share give those who have lived experience some sort of hope.

There were some unexpected reasons I blog. The first happens to be advocacy. I didn’t realize that I could advocate here on my blog. Advocacy is something I love to do and am proud that I am able to do it on my blog. The other unexpected reason I write is that I have found that it helps me with my own recovery. My recovery means the world to me.

Thank you for reading. I appreciate all of you because if it wasn’t for you the reader I would not be writing on this blog. Thanks, again. Peace Out, World!!!

Monday Night Ramblings

Hello, World!!! I’m sitting here thinking to myself how I can can more readers. The only thing I can think of is to do another WordPress course. I am going to do one I have already done before as it was somewhat easy for me yet it gets me the readership I want. Maybe when I do Finding Your Everyday Inspiration I can use different tags as that will help me gain more readers. I’ve been blogging for nearly four years and I don’t have as many followers as I would like. Part of me is okay with this while the other part is not. It means I am not reaching as many people as I want.

My anxiety is acting up tonight which isn’t very helpful for me when my depression is acting up. I’m not sure why it is acting up but is. That is why I decided to read. It helped with the anxiety for a while. I think reading has helped me a great deal the last few weeks and I am grateful for that.

I am still figuring out ways to supplement my income. One way I am doing it is with the advertisements I have here on my blog. I’m thinking of other ways to earn money as well until I am able to go back to work. Not sure how else to it but thinking of ways.

Thank you for listening to my ramblings. Peace Out, World!!!
