Grateful for the Weekend

Happy Friday Evening, World!!! I am now off work for the weekend and am grateful to have the time off. On that note my direct supervisor is back from leave and I am more than thrilled that she is back. I am beyond thrilled she is back because she supervises with a style that not only can I learn from her but she can learn from me. I really like the fact that my supervisor is willing to teach me as well as learn from me. Not very many supervisors do that.

Now that the weekend has officially started for me I plan to just sit back really not do much. My weekend will consist of doing art work and listening to podcast. Specifically, the type of art work I will be doing is coloring. Coloring is a form of mindful meditation practice for me. While I color this weekend, I will me listening to a podcast on philosophy. The specific podcast on philosophy that I will be listening to while I color is Philosophize This. I love learning things as I create things.

I don’t have much more to say in this particular blog post except that I am so happy it is the weekend. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. I hope you all have great weekend. Happy Friday and Peace Out, World!!!

Working From Home Today & My Cat is Helping

Good Afternoon and Happy Friday, World!!! Usually, this time of day, I am working from the offices. Well, today I am working but I am working from home. Of course, my cat, Billie Dean is helping with my work. Actually, it more like Billie giving me snuggles and lap time as I work from home.

Part of the reason why I am working from home is because I did not sleep well last night due to insomnia so I had the option of working from home. I am grateful that I have the ability to work from home today as I was able to take a couple of naps. To be honest with you all, I would rather work in the office than at home as I get more work done when I am in the office than working from home.

As challenging as it is working from home is at times, I am glad its Friday and that I can just put my work computer away. Usually, I would have to take public transportation home from the office so working from today is a good thing. I am just so tired and want to curl up and take a nap with my cat Billie.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you do read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Happy Friday and Peace Out, World!!!

Friday Eve (aka Thursday) Ramblings

Happy Friday Eve, World!!! Friday Eve is also known at Thursday or at least it is here on the West Coast of the United State of America. I am really glad that it is Thursday and that I took yesterday (Wednesday) off. As much as I love my job, today was a particularly tough day for me emotionally. The topics my clients discussed with me today, triggered some of my own issues which is to be expected from time to time.

As I write this particular blog, I am sitting in my bed with my cat, Billie Dean laying right next to me. He is purring up a storm and nudging my hand so he can be petted. I love my sweet kitty, Billie as is my best friend and gives me unconditional love.

After, I finish this particular blogs, I will be listening to a podcast on philosophy as I do some art by coloring a coloring book with some swear words in it. Actually, the podcast on philosophy I will be listening to is Philosophize This. Listening to this podcast as I do some art work by coloring, helps me learn. I am grateful for what I am learning about philosophy as I create some art work by coloring.

The weather in Seattle is becoming sucky as it is getting windy and the rain will come shortly. Windy here isn’t exactly as windy as the Santa Anna winds in California and definitely not as strong as a tornado or hurricane. So, the Seattle weather is perfection for listening to a podcast on philosophy as I do art work by coloring.

I do not have much more to talk about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader do read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Not wanting to be a Cranky Bucket at Work

Good Morning, World!!! I am unable to sleep again. I don’t think not going into work isn’t an option at the moment as the clients I have today are struggling with some minor crisis. I need to find someway to get somewhat of a better night of sleep.

One of those ways is to take a sleeping pill but sadly it makes me groggy but at least the grogginess at least goes away with time but not quick enough. I really don’t want to be a cranky bucket at work. I also don’t want to call in sick due to the lack of sleep. I really love my job. My job means the world to me.

On the plus note at least my cat has been extra lovely Dovey with me. Billie Dean is an amazing cat and I love him so much. I may have rescued him but I think he was and is the one doing the rescuing of me. Billie is really a great lap cat and helps me not be a cranky bucket when I have to start work at eight in the morning Seattle time.

I am thinking I might have to take a my sleeping meds so I can get some sleep so I am not a cranky bucket at work. I don’t have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog post. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you do read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader for reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart from reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Looking Forward to Tomorrow

Hello, World!!! I am looking forward to tomorrow. I have decided to take tomorrow (Wednesday) off. Primarily because my cat, Billie Dean, is getting blood work done from the vet. Tomorrow will be Billie’s last time going to Dr. B because the property is being sold and she sadly can’t find any affordable commercial real estate. So, Billie is getting bloodwork done so we can have more up to date readings on his kidneys. This is so his new vet will have a baseline for the kidneys so he can be treated appropriately.

On that note, I will also be volunteering at PAWS Cat City. I love being able to pick up extra volunteer shifts when I can. I know this sounds weird and/or odd but volunteering at Cat City is a form of self care for me. It’s self care for me because it gives me more purpose in my life. Yes, my work gives me purpose however volunteering gives me even more purpose to my life.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Goodnight and Peace Out, World!!!

My Job is Awesome & I Love My Cat

Good Evening, World!!! I just want to tell you that I love my job and it’s completely awesome. Yes, my job has it’s rough days however, I love it most days. Today, was one of many days I love. My job can be emotionally draining which is why I do my best to do good self care especially when my depression symptoms are acting up.

One of the ways I do good self care is go to therapy and stay in regular contact with her. For instance, I emailed my therapist to let her know about what is going on. She emailed me back thanking me for keeping her updated on things. I email her so when I see her next we can discuss it.

Another way I do self care is taking care of my cat, Billie Dean. In fact Billie is trying is hardest to “help” me write this particular blog post. I love my cat so much. It is hard to believe I’ve had him one year and seven and half months. Billie helps me realize there is more to this world than my job and myself. I am beyond grateful for Billie and love him so much.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

The Start of Another Work Week

Good Morning, World!!! It is Monday and the typical start of another work week. I personally don’t start work till twelve noon on Mondays. In fact Mondays are one of the two days I go into the office. I like the fact that I go into work on Mondays and Fridays as it makes my weekend feel like a weekend. I also enjoy working from home on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. There are pros and cons to working in the office as well as working from home.

Despite having increased depression symptoms, I am grateful to be going into the office to work today. I think getting out of the house will help with the depression. I am also grateful that working helps with the depression. As much as I wish I didn’t struggle with depression, the depression is what helps me with my job as I need lived experience with a mental health challenge to have my job. As you can tell, I am trying to look at the silver lining in things at the moment.

The part I don’t like about going into the office is I don’t get to spend the day with my cat, Billie Dean. I really love my cat and miss him when I am not with him. Billie is my pride and joy. In fact Billie is my emotional support animal (esa) and helps with my depression a great deal. I love Billie so much.

I do not have much more to talk about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Weekly Check-In

It is that time of week that I do a weekly check-in. Yes, I realize it has been a while since I have done a weekly check-in but I have decided to start doing them again. Let’s start with the obvious of how grateful I am for my cat Billie Dean. Billie has been so cuddly and lovey this past week. Billie being extra cuddly has been great since I have been dealing with increased anxiety and depression symptoms.

Since the symptoms of my anxiety and depression having been acting up, I took two mental health days off yesterday (Friday) and Thursday. Since I took Thursday and Friday off, I spent a lot of time reaching out to friends. Friends who have been quite supportive and helped me get through some tough moments.

Besides reaching out to friends, I have been listening to podcast and reading. I have been listening to podcast and reading about philosophy. The podcast I have been listening to is “Philosophize This.” The book I have been reading is by Plato called “The Republic and Other Works.” I have been on a philosophy kick lately especially since I have been reading about it.

I don’t have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, I wouldn’t be writing this blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Taking a Mental Health Day Off of Work

Good Morning, World!!! Today, I am taking an unplanned day off from work. I am using it as a mental health day as my anxiety and depression are at level where I don’t think I could be of any help to anyone. No, my anxiety and depression aren’t in the mode to be truly concerned about however they would get in the way of working effectively. I want to be in a good state of mind to be able to work with my clients so I don’t want my anxiety and depression or anxiety getting in the way.

On that note, I will be taking care of myself by doing some self care. One way I will be doing some self care is art work. Specifically, the type of artwork I will be doing is coloring. Coloring is very soothing for me. It is a type of mindfulness meditation for me.

While coloring I will be listening to music. The music, I will be listening to is my recovery playlist. My recovery playlist are songs that help be remember how far I have come as well as songs to encourage me to continue my journey on my recovery path. Music helps a great way to help myself and my recovery.

Another think I plan to do as I color is to also listen a podcast. A podcast specifically about philosophy. I love learning about philosophy and wished I learned more about it in high school. The philosophy podcast I will be listening to is “Philosophize This.” “Philosophize This” is an amazing podcast in my opinion. I encourage you to listen to it.

Besides coloring while listening music and a podcast, I will be hanging out with my beloved cat, Billie Dean. My cat Billie is such a lovey Dovey kitty. Billie is such a lap cat and loves to cuddle and spends a lot of time in my lap. I love my Billie and more that grateful that he is a lap cat that sleeps with me when it is bedtime.

I do not have much more to discuss in the particular blog post. I would like to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciative from my end of things that you read my blog. It it wasn’t for you reading my blog, I wouldn’t be writing my blog. Again, thank from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!
