Boy oh boy,

I didn’t realize how much I would fall in

Love with you and how much that

Love grows each day.

I love your facial

Expressions and your

Damn crinkly

Ear is what caused me to fall in love with you and your

Awesomeness.

Never stop being my lovebug.

Self-Care Saturday

Good Afternoon, World!!! Today has been a day of self care and I dubbed today as Self-Care Saturday. I didn’t realize I was actually to a couple of friends over a Zoom call and the let informed me that I was doing self-care. We discussed that doing self-care is a very good thing even when we are doing well. As my two friends and I discussed self-care I realized that doing self-care when I am well like I am now will help do good self-care when I am not doing so well.

One of the ways, I have done self-care today is attended three twelve-step meetings over Zoom. One of the meetings is based here in the Seattle area while another is based in London, England and the other is based in Sydney, Australia. So, I have been attending twelve-step meetings all of the world today. The twelve-step program I am in is awesome and has both twelve-step principles and peer recovery principles. I think the reason why I love this particular twelve-step program is because it feels more like a peer recovery program than a twelve-step program.

Another way I have been doing self-care today is doing artwork. Specifically the type of artwork I have been doing is coloring. Coloring has been a great way for me to do self-care. It is a way for me do mindfulness and in a way a meditation. I have always enjoyed coloring and love to do it. It brings me joy and connects me with my inner-child. An inner-child that needs to be healed and is being healed with all the work I am doing in my recovery.

As I colored, I listened to music. Music that brings me so much joy. Today, as I colored I listened to my “Childhood Memories” playlist that is over sixteen hours long. I don’t remember how many song on my “Childhood Memories” playlist at the moment. I’m grateful that I chose my “Childhood Memories” playlist along with the coloring helped with the healing process of healing my inner-child.

Of course part of my self-care is my cat Billie Dean. Billie is such a help to me. He knows exactly know when I need attention from him. I also can’t imagine what my life would be like without him. I love having Billie lay in my lap as I type this blog post. I think he is needing some connection right now and I am grateful that he is such a lap cat.

Something Billie likes is when I eat chicken for a meal and I ordered a big bucket meal from Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC). The big bucket meal will feed me for five meals including breakfast. Of course when I eat the chicken I will share it with my cat, Billie.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. I hope everyone has a great rest of your Saturday as well as your weekend. Peace Out, World!!!

Monday Evening Rambling

Hello, World!!! Today has been an overall great day with some sadness. Sadness because I found out today while having an appointment with my psychiatric nurse practitioner is leaving in a month and today was my last appointment. I am grateful that she informed me yet sad that she is leaving.

Not only was today my last session with my psychiatric nurse practitioner, it was also my last session with my therapist. I did know that he was leaving. I am quite sad that my therapist is leaving and wish he wasn’t.

One of the things that has been helping me is my cat, Billie Dean. I think Billie senses that I have been dealing with sadness off and on all day, today. I don’t think people realize how comforting cats can be and I love my cat, Billie so very much.

Now on to a different topic. The topic of twelve step meetings. A friend of mine and I were talking over Zoom about our families and how dysfunctional they were and are. This friend let me know of a great twelve step organization that has a twelve step focus with a lot of recovery principals to the group. I attended my first meeting of this particular twelve step meeting last Friday over Zoom and really enjoyed it. I enjoyed it enough that I ordered the proper literature which came today and attended my second meeting over Zoom today. I will be continuing to attend as I find it quite helpful.

I don’t have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do what to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Weekly Check-In

Good Evening, World!!! One of my goals for the new year is to blog an average of twice a week. One of the ways I plan to accomplish this goal is to do my weekly check-ins every Saturday. Setting a regular schedule with my blogging with Weekly Plans and Weekly Check-In’s will help me accomplish one of my 2021 goals as I mentioned earlier in this paragraph.

As you may or may not know, I recently started a job as a peer specialist at a local mental health agency here in Seattle. Well, I finished up my third week at my new job and am like the job so far. It just so happened that my first three weeks at my new job, I only worked three days each week. I am glad it happened like this because I think it will help me with working a full forty hour work week starting next week. I am happy that my start date and the holidays allowed me start out with a three day work week for the first three weeks so I could get adjusted to working full time once again. I am really enjoying my new job.

As all of you know it is now the New Year. I celebrated New Year’s with friends via Zoom. We watched the light show that the Space Needle did. Watching the light show put on by the Space Needle to bring in the New Year was awesome. Spending it with friend via Zoom was even more awesome. My cat, Billie, watched the light show with me and my friends as well. It was cool that I was able to bring in the New Year with my cat, Billie as well as with my friends.

Well that is my weekly check-in and don’t have much else to say. I want to thank you for reading my blog. It means a great deal to me that you read my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Much Needed Time Away

Hello, World!!! It is ten fifteen at night in my corner of the world. Currently, I am in Bremerton, Washington. I decided to take a ferry here from Seattle and stay the night. As much as I love living in Seattle, sometimes city life can get a bit overwhelming so I am staying the night in a hotel on Bremerton’s waterfront.

Even though I am only going to be gone tonight, I am having a neighbor who has become a good friend look in on my cat, Billie Dean. Yes, I realize Billie will be okay with me just being gone overnight, I just wanted to make sure nothing happens. Plus my neighbor really likes Billie. I know from becoming friends with my neighbor that he really loves cats and it always brightens his day when I take Billie to say hi to him. So, having my neighbor check on Billie not only eases my mind but helps this good friend.

I know what I have done here in Bremerton is something I could do at home however just getting a break from the everyday things is helpful. One of the things I have done is read. I am reading a Star Wars book. A book that has me very engrossed and engaged. I read the Star Wars book outside for about an hour on Bremerton’s waterfront and enjoyed every minute of it.

After reading, I went out to dinner which was nice. The food at the restaurant, I went to was great which is why I went. Every time I come to Bremerton, I try to eat at the restaurant I at tonight. I highly recommend Bremerton Bar and Grill if you are ever in Bremerton, Washington.

Once I got back to my hotel room after eating dinner, I decided to do some art work. Actually, the type of art I did was color. Coloring is more portable than other forms of art or at least for me it is. I love to color and it helps me get into a positive state of mind.

As I was coloring I decided to listen to one of my favorite podcast on the subject of philosophy. The podcast I listened to as I colored was Philosophize This. The way the podcaster, Stephen West discusses philosophy makes the subject interesting and easy to comprehend. Or at least that is my person opinion of Philosophize This.

I do not have much more to talk about in this blog post except that I really needed this time away and miss my cat, Billie. Before, I end the post, I want to thank you for reading my blog. I am greatly appreciative that you read my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday night. I also hope you all get a good night of sleep. Good Night and Peace Out, World. Don’t let the bed bugs bite.
