Everyday Inspiration; Day 1: I Write Because…

I write in many forms for many reasons. But today, I will be writing about why I write my blog. I originally started my blog to help educate those who don’t struggle with a mental health diagnosis and/or substance use disorders (addiction) that we can live productive lives just like those who don’t struggle with those issues. I also started blogging to give hope to those who are still struggling with mental health symptoms and/or addiction that recovery is possible.

Little did I know that when I started my blog that it would end up helping me with my own recovery and became a form of both self care and self help. I am grateful for this unexpected surprise of blogging is helping me with my recovery; both the ups and the downs.

As you can tell, I write my blog to help others as well as myself. Most importantly, I write my blog in hopes to lessen the stigma by educating those with out mental health or addiction issues that we can be productive members of society.

Attempting to Improving my Blog & Making it More Consistent in Posting

Good Morning, World. It is still morning in my corner of the world known at Seattle. I know I have done this before and have sometimes not completed what I started as well as completed what I started in regards taking WordPress’s Blogging University free courses. It is my hope that I complete both courses, that I am taking. I signed up for them at the same time but will not be doing the courses at the same time. I am doing this I can make sure I am blogging for thirty days in a row as one course is twenty days while the other course is ten days. I figure if I am consistently blogging everyday, it will keep you the reader more interested in reading my blog. Honestly, I am not sure if it will keep you interested in continuing to reader my blog but it’s worth a shot and at least having an active blog usually tends to keep the readers interested.

In the course’s I will most likely bringing up the wonderful city, I live in; Seattle as well my wonderful cat, Billie Dean. I also may be writing about my wonderful job. I love the work I do and love my job. I feel like if I include everyday things in my assignments from the courses it won’t feel so much like courses. Even though I already have the first assignments, I most likely won’t start them for a few more days.

I also hope to be doing my weekly check in’s on Saturdays as well my weekly plans on Sundays as a way to be consistent with regularly blogging when I don’t have other things to blog about. Having consistency with things in my life including blogging is important to me.

I do not have much more to write about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. So, again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Sleepless in Seattle

Good very early Morning, World!!! Sadly I can not sleep at the moment due to insomnia and PTSD. Having both really sucks shit. Right now I feel like listening to my Childhood Memories Play list of music to help me get relaxed enough to get back to sleep. Having insomnia and PTSD sucks and all I want is sleep.

At least the Childhood Memories Playlist songs are helping along with my cat Billie helping me with his unconditional love. I love my cat so much. I really thing the music and my cat will help me get back to sleep.

I don’t have much more do to say in this particular post.

Middle of the Day Ramblings

It is had to believe that I am doing what I can do tp leep my blog up today. It is my goal for 2022 to blog an average of three days a week. So far this is my 19th blog post in a matter of 17 days. I do have other goals that I want to accomplish this year and once of these days I will share them with you.

I feel like that if I blog an average of three times a week, I able to keep you my reader interested in continuing to read my blog. I realize there might be times I won’t be able to write a blog a single week which is why I say and average of tree times a week because some weeks I will writer more than three times a week while other weeks I won’t write that week which is okay just as long as it comes to an average of three times a week.

Another reason why I want to make it goal to blog an average of three times a week is to help those who don’t have a mental health diagnosis that people who do have one can live productive lives and able to work as well as pay taxes like “normal” people to. Anther reason why is to help those who struggle with a mental health diagnosis that recovery is possible and that hop is possible.

I do not have much more to discuss in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my post. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you do read my blog. If it was not for you the reader of my blog reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog;. Peace Out, World!!!

Everyday Inspiration; Day 4: A Story in a Single Image

Billie’s first night home giving me a hug as he lays on my lap and chest.

Todays, “assignment” was to tell a story of an image. WordPress gave four images to choose from in which didn’t inspire me to write. So, I picked one that would. I picked one of my cat Billie Dean’s first evening at home with me. He is laying on me sleeping and it looks like he is giving me a hug.

Billie inspires me every single day especially when the symptoms of my depression increase. He inspires me to keep going. He is an inspiration because, he helps me stay focused on what I need to do to stay in Recovery. I love my cat and I love being in recovery. So that is why Billie is an inspiration.

Intro to Poetry; Day 3: Friend

Billie Dean the Kat

by Gertie

Billie Dean the Kat is a cat.

A cat that is not only a family member

but my best friend.

Some say cats are only pets or animals but

cats are both family and friends.

That is why my cat, Billie is my

friend.

Everyday Inspiration; Day 3: One-Word Inspiration

Choice

Choice is the word I chose to be my inspiration to write about. Choice is a loaded word. For me choice is the reason why I am here today. I made the choice to be in active recovery. I made the choice to continue living in Seattle where I have an awesome job helping others with their recovery journey and an amazing volunteer job where I help cats get their furrever homes.

To me being able to make my own choices helps me keep hope alive in my own self. It helps me keep the hope alive in myself because helps make the decisions or choices to stay in recovery. Staying in recovery is what is important to me. It’s important to me because I want to help others with their recovery. It’s important to me because I want to be here for my cat, Billie. It’s important to me because I want to make sure other cats get their furrever home. So the choice to stay in recovery is what keeps me alive. That’s why I chose the work choice. Life is nothing but choices.
