Home From the Emergency Room

Good Afternoon, World!!! I am finally home after six hours in the emergency room. I was in the emergency room for a concussion caused by me not paying attention to my surroundings. Meaning that I was not paying attention to where my cat, Billie was. My cat, Billie was walking close to me, and I tripped over him and hit my head on the corner of my kitchen counter. I have a gash in my forehead that needed stitches which I got and sadly have a concussion as well. I am pretty sure that I am going to rest for the remainder of the day and lay low as I really don’t want to deal with people right now. Laying low is a good thing to help with my concussion and I look forward to spending time with my cat, Billie.

I do not have anything else to discuss or share or to write about in this particular blog post except that I hope my pounding headache goes away quickly and that my concussion heals quickly. I do want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog I would not be continuing to write my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

In the Emergency Room

Good Morning, World!!! It looks like I will not be able to volunteer at PAWS Cat City this afternoon. The reason is I am currently in the hospital. Specifically, I am in the emergency room. I am in the emergency room because I tripped over my cat, Billie and ended up hitting my head on the corner of my kitchen counter. I thankfully didn’t lose consciousness, but I am really glad that my friend was with me when it happened. I do have a big gash on my forehead that needed stitches. I had a couple of tests done like a CT scan and an MRI to make sure nothing major is going on in my brain. The doctors do suspect that I have a concussion, and I really hope that is all I have. Yes, I know concussions are bad but if that is all I have on top of a gash in my forehead with stitched then I will take it.

I do not have anything else to discuss or share or to write about in this particular blog post except I hope that I get discharged from the emergency room sooner than later and that I only have minor concussion with a gash in my forehead that has stitches.

A Bundle Of Nerves With A Bun In The Oven

Good Evening, World!!! As of right now I am a mixture of emotions. I had my annual exam this morning and thankfully my partner was able to come with me as I struggle with the annual exam due to trauma. Junior, my partner, also came for another reason which was to medically confirm if I was pregnant as the two take home tests I took last week said I was. My doctor did medically confirm that I am pregnant and that I am about eight weeks pregnant. My doctor also made me an appointment with the OBGYN in the same clinic as my doctor is in, for next Tuesday. Of course Junior will be coming with me. Needless to say we are both scared shitless and ecstatic.

I do not have much more to write about in this particular blog post with the exception that I will keep you all updated about the pregnancy. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be continuing to write on my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Anxiety Over Tomorrow’s Doctor’s Appointment

Good Afternoon, World!!! I am nervous as hell for tomorrow morning as I have my yearly annual wellness exam with my doctor tomorrow. I am scared due to trauma related issues that my doctor is quite aware of. I am also scared and full of anxiety due to the fact that my doctor will confirm something medically which is why I am having my partner Junior come with me. It is something he would like medically confirmed as well.

Anyway, I am sadly having intrusive thought ping ponging in my head at the moment and it is not a good thing which is partly why I am currently writing this blog post. Blogging tends to help with the ping ponging of my thoughts as well as help with anxiety I deal with. I am just happy that I have various skills in my tool box to help with the anxiety.

I do not have much more to write about in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you, the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog I would not be continuing to write on my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Mid-Week Update

Good Evening, World!!! It is Wednesday evening in Seattle and today starts something to help me blog more on a regular basis; Mid-Week Updates. It is something I hope to do on a weekly basis on Wednesdays.

I started off the week by attending an online twelve step meeting. A meeting I am glad that I decided to do online twelve step meetings again as they are really helpful to my recovery. Plus, I enjoy them and it helps me with my social skills.

I went to the doctors for a follow from being discharged from the hospital. My medical doctor sent in five prescriptions to the pharmacy which includes an antibiotic for a bladder infection. The doctor also sent in paperwork into my job so I can go back to work.

I picked up a butt load of medicine yesterday for my mental health and physical health. It’s much needed meds and I am grateful for them. It sadly cost me seventy five dollars and some change.

My work is being very picky about me going back to work and it is frustrating the hell out of myself, my doctors and mental health team. On that note I have a good union rep.

Thank you for reading my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, I would not be writing my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Not the Best Night for Sleep for Me

Good Morning, World from Seattle. It is the middle of the night here in Seattle, Washington and I have not received much sleep tonight. Partly because I am on crisis coverage for work on the team I work on. There have been a handful of clients calling in crisis needing to talk and I totally understand. Life can and is challenging at times.

In fact life is challenging for me at the moment due to me dealing with my own type of crisis due to a recent trauma which is the other part of why I am unable to sleep. I am unable to sleep due to insomnia as well as PTSD symptoms such as nightmares which doesn’t help my depression whatsoever.

On that note since I have not been able to sleep due to being on crisis coverage or dealing with my own shit, I have been doing quite a bit. Lets start with the obvious of me spending time with my kitty cat, Billie. Not only do I love Billie but Billie provides unconditional love as well as helps me with mindfulness meditation practices.

Not only does Billie help me with mindfulness meditation practice, Billie also reminds me to do mindfulness meditation practice with the Calm App. I do several mindfulness meditations with the Calm App as well as with Billie and other ways I have learned to do mindfulness meditation practice.

Besides doing mindfulness meditation practices, I have been doing some art as well as some crafts. I have been doing art work by coloring as well as diamond art. The crafts I have been doing happen to be latch hook and cross stitching. Both diamond art and latch hook, I am finally sort of kind of getting the hang of it. I am really enjoying being able to do various types of arts and crafts.

I am also learning something else besides new types of arts and crafts. I am learning about Tarot and Tarot Cards by reading about it in a couple of books. Specifically books for beginners. I also have three sets of Tarot Cards as well as a Tarot Workbook. I also have three or four Tarot Card journals to put in my Tarot Card readings; specifically on myself and once I get comfortable with other people’s readings.

Since I mentioned journals and workbooks I got a couple of new journals I will start writing in. One of which will help me get myself out of my comfort zone. I also have several recovery workbooks, that I have had over the years and have never started and/or finished. So, It is my plan to not just work on the journal stuff along with the tarot stuff but the recovery workbook stuff as I feel like most everything I have mentioned has and will help me with my recovery. That includes working yesterday as well as being crisis coverage till eight in the morning Seattle time today (Monday).

Good thing I don’t have to work later today (Monday) like I normally do but I had three doctors appointments that were all sadly cancelled last Thursday and Friday. I do have a “fourth” appointment which is a follow up appointment due to a recent emergency room visit from self harming myself by hitting a brick wall. My hand still hurts like hell and the bruise is nastier than hell but at least the swelling is going down.

I do not have much more to discuss in this particular blog post. I am sorry it is such a long post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. I hope everyone has a great Monday ahead as I have the day off even though I am going to see my doctor. Peace Out, World!!!

Weekly Check-In

Good Evening, World!!! It has been quite some time since I have done a weekly check in. A lot has happened and sadly a few weeks ago a mutual agreement between myself and now ex-new employer that it wasn’t a good fit for myself or the employer. That means I have been job hunting. This last week I’ve been filling out so many applications my fingers have been cramping up. I’ve been on three interviews this last week.

On another note, Billie had a second follow up appointment regarding his dental extractions. He is healing up okay. He is a champ and didn’t do much complaining except when the anastitic wore off and it was only for a couple of hours. Me as a human would have complained more than my cat about the dental work.

As for me, I was physically attacked and had to go to the emergency room. I have six staples in my head and a shoulder injury. So, I’ve been going to follow up appointments. I’m doing better and my concussion is slowly getting better. I get my staples out on the sixteenth of this month and hopefully will get a referral for physical therapy for my shoulder if it does not get any better.

I think I caught you up to date over this last week as I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you do read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

A Couple of Weeks Full of Much Needed but Unwanted Things to Do

I haven’t had the easiest starts to this week do to a traumatic weekend which led to two weeks of unwanted doctors appointments for myself. That doesn’t include Billie’s follow up dental procedure where one area is in the “grey area” of being infected but unsure unless they do test. They left it up to be to not do the test w/out antibiotics and come back in a week. Or do the test to see if antibiotics were needed or not do the test and do the antibiotics. I chose no test with the antibiotics. Its cheap and precautionary.

On top of that I’ve been having my own health issues, I will not exactly get into except medicare is so under staff right now; just thinking about it makes me want to cry. You would think some place like Seattle would have plenty of doctors but no.

Anyway on to better news I am having job interviews once again as the job I up getting after being laid off did not work out to well. I just hope I get a job that best works for me and the needs of my cat Billie as well as myself.

Overall Billie and I are doing fine and I don’t have much more to discuss in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It greatly appreciative from my perspective that you do read my blog. If it was not for you reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. I hope everyone has a great evening. Peace Out, World!!!
