Struggling & Making an Effort to Feel Better Emotionally

Good Afternoon, World!!! I’ve been struggling with PTSD and Depression the last couple of weeks. Partly because I lost my new job and mainly due to some traumatic events in my life that don’t count losing a job. I’ve been applying for new jobs because I need the money to pay the bills even though I know of resources I can go to to help.

I’ve been applying to jobs in fast food even thought I don’t want to work fast food or retail but I need the money to pay the bills. I would rather work as a peer specialist or in the human service feild but right now a job is job and I can’t be too picky right so I can pay bills.

Things that I plan on doing are DBT skills and new hobbies like Latch hooking or attempting to teach myself. I also plan on doing some art by coloring and reading some books. And of course reading some books. I also have a twenty minute check in via phone with my therapist later today. Last but not least doing art work with coloring and spending time with my cat Billie.

I don’t have much more to say. I do want to thank you for reading my blog and hope I’m not boring anyone of you. If it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. So thank you for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Unemployment Sucks; Family & Friends Rock

Good Afternoon, World!!! It’s evening time here in Seattle and I am feeling a little depressed while dealing with some PTSD. I have been sleeping off and on all day due to the depression and PTSD. Personally, I think being unemployed is was is helping the depression a little bit. I really need a job to help keep myself busy which help with the symptoms of my mental health diagnosis.

On the plus side when I haven’t been sleeping most of the day family and friends have been checking up on me. Some of my friends and neighbors have been feeding me. My grandpa gave me money to buy some art and crafting supplies to keep myself busy and hopefully awake during the day. So, I got some coloring stuff like colored pencils and markers as well as some of those giant and detailed coloring posters. I also got some crafting stuff as well. I got some latch hook crafting. I’ve never done latch hook so I want to try something knew and who knows I might have some done before the holidays to give as gift. Of course 98% of the latch hook stuff I’m get to make happen to be cats which isn’t surprising since I own a cat. Actually, I feel like my cat is more like a family member that me owning him.

As far as the unemployment part of life they are being challenging right now. I am on the job hunt and applying for jobs and getting interviews. It’s just the waiting game on hearing back if I’m going to get an interview or a job. Patience is not my virture.

I don’t have much else to say except my cat Billie is wanting to sit on my lap and my laptop is getting in his way. Thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. So , thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Everyday Inspiration; Day 19: Feature a Guest

A picture of Billie Dean the Kat who is the featured guest

Good Morning, World!!! I know it is weird to have a cat or any animal as a featured guest on a blog. My plan is to ask him questions and answer them the way I think he would answer them as he were able to speak human and not just meow like the cat he is. Here is the “interview.”

Me: How did we originally meet?

Billie: We met while you doing a regular volunteer shift at PAWS Cat City.

Me: Was it love at first sight for you?

Billie: I think it was love at first sight for the both of us. I know you love my crinkly ear and you can’t deny that.

Me: When you came home with me, how did you feel?

Billie: Do you really need to ask that question? You know I love you unconditionally.

Me: What can I do better as your parent?

Billie: You can feed me at the butt crack of dawn when I ask for it then. Hell, you can feed me whenever I ask for it even if there is still food in the bowl.

Me: You do realize I’m not going to get up at the butt crack of dawn to feed you when I know you have food?

Billie: Yes, but do you remember who runs this home?

Me: Of course I do. You run this home, I just pay the bills.

Billie: I love you but I’m done with this interview. It’s time for another nap.

Weekly Check-In

Hello, World!!! It’s been a long week. It’s been a long week. It started with me volunteering on Sunday as I normally do. We were slammed due to it being “kitten season.” The place I volunteer at has a super sweet lovable senior kitty who surprisingly hasn’t been adopted yet.

Then I started my job on Monday. It’s been a week full of training and my brain hurts from everything I learned this past week. Best part was having yesterday (Friday) off so I did an extra volunteer shift. I love me some kitten time but I love my Billie so much.

Then today I took a training to get certified in First Aid and CPR which is required by my employer. I had to pay for the training but I’m okay with that especially since it included AED training. To find out, I will get a “few cent raise” for the AED training or so I’m told. Weather or not I get the raise having all three certifications will help make me more employable.

All I need to do now is get my food handler’s permit and I am all set in what I need which will be easy to attain since I needed one for working at Safeway. On that note I just realized I need to show proof on auto insurance but since I don’t have a car I don’t have any. I still might have to get it if I’m required to drive a company car but if that is the case then I get to use auto insurance for tax purpose’s then.

Have a great rest of your weekend and Peace Out, World!!!

Happy Friday

Good Morning, World!!! I am off from work today yet I woke up at five o’clock in the morning. Wish I could have slept longer but the sleep I got was restful. It’s always a good thing to get restful sleep.

Since I was up so early a neighbor of mine who is a good friend goes out to breakfast every Friday so I asked if I could join him for breakfast. He said yes so we went out to breakfast. I had biscuits and gravy while my friend had was is called the Seattle omelet. It was cool hanging out with this friend.

Since I don’t have anything to do today since I don’t have to work; I signed up for an extra volunteer shift at PAWS Cat City. So I will be volunteering for a few hours today. I love volunteering and seeing cats get their furrever home.

On that note I’ve been doing some art work since waking up as well as after breakfast with a friend. I’ve been coloring the poster for my mom. In fact I plan on coloring after my volunteer job as well. I love doing art work.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you all for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciative from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. I hope everyone has a great weekend ahead. Happy Friday and Peace Out, World!!!

Everyday Inspiration; Day 9: Writing & Not Writing

Hello, World!!! To write or not to write is very dependent on the day as was as the time and what is going on in my life at the moment. For example there are times I like to go out to eat and take my laptop with me to writer. I sadly was not able to do that when we had the not so lovely pandemic of Covid-19 which is sadly still around. I do some of my best writing when I eat in a restaurant and Covid-19 prevent me from doing that but that’s okay as I found other ways to write or not to write.

When I comes to blogging I either write in my bedroom or my recliner if my cat Billie doesn’t want to sit on my lap. I also like to blog out doors as it can give me similar inspiration like blogging at a restaurant does.

As far as not writing, sometimes my cat can get in the way but I am more than okay with that. Other reasons for not writing is due to work or my mental health is acting up. As far as blogging outside it is all dependent on the weather out side. Seattle is known to have gloomy weather days which sucks but I’ve learned to deal with it.

Free Slurpee Day at 7 Eleven

Good Morning, World!!! I just wanted to share a brief and short post. Today’s dat is July 7th or known as 7 Eleven Day. Every Seven Elven Day 7/11 gives out free small Slurpee’s. I plan on getting min before going on to work today.

Told you it would be a short blog post. Thank you for reading my blog. Peace Out World!!!

Billie Got the Zoomies; Want to Play & Then Eat, so No Sleeping in For this Cat Owner

Good Morning, World. It is four forty nine in the morning here in Seattle. Billie, my cat decided to have the zoomies and after that want to play. I love my cat dearly but I would like to sleep in a little bit longer. Preferably eight in the morning but be okay with seven in the morning.

So my plans for the morning is feed the king of the house; my cat Billie Dean. After that, play with Billie. Right now his go to toys are balls especially the noisy ones. As much I wish I was asleep right now, I look at it two ways, Billie is getting me prepared to waking up early when I start work next week and that I have time to do some art work actually some coloring.

I’m pretty sure I will be listening to some music. Most likely my recovery play list. If I don’t listen to music then I will listen to podcast on philosophy. Specifically the podcast “Philosophize This.” I’m not sure why I like to listen to music or a podcast while coloring but maybe it helps me with the creative juices in my brain.

I do not have much more to say is in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog post. It is greatly appreciative from my end of thigs that you read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog I would not be writing my blog. So, thank you once again from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World.

Too Hungry to Go Back To Sleep

Good Morning, World!!!!! I am really sleepy and want to go back to sleep. Unfortunately, I am unable to go back to bed as I ordered McDonalds from Grubhub and am waiting for it. I do plan on eating it and then going back to sleep since I’ve been up about two this morning, Seattle time. I am just too lazy to make my own breakfast.

As I wait for my food my cat is wanting to play. So guess who is playing with Billie the cat; me that’s who. I love my cat so much. In fact I need to play with him more so he can loose some weight. In fact the vet informed me that playing with my cat will help Billie loose weight. Also I need to feed him less.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. So, thank you again, from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!
