Fun Doesn’t = Anxiety

Good Afternoon, World!!! I am sitting here blogging as I watch The Ellen Show on television. Lil Gertie is sitting by my side purring. I have been having anxiety all day and Lil Gertie has been helping. Watching Ellen is proven to be helpful as well. It has proven to be helpful due to the fact she is funny as hell. I would love to be in the audience of the Ellen Show but fear being on television.

I have been working on my scrapbook a great deal today. It is starting to come along. I am looking forward to showing it to people including my therapist. Since my therapist is new to me, showing him a scrap book of what is important to me might help him get to know me a little bit more. Scrap booking is like painting for me. It is a way to express my emotions.

Random Thoughts At Midnight

Hello, World!!! It is midnight in my corner of the world and I have a lot on my mind. Some things are serious while other things are just normal everyday worries. All the things on my mind are not what is keeping me up.

I am up because I am wanting to and am watching The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Watching something that has humor such as The Tonight Show helps me be able to sleep at night. Being able to laugh before bed has something helpful in it and am grateful that I have learned this about myself.

I have been reading Star Wars: Heir To The Empire book. I am really enjoying it. In fact I am nearly finished with it. I hope to do a book review on it when I am done with the book. The cool thing about this book it is part of a trilogy.

I think I am liking the fact that I am looking into Buddhism. It is giving me a hope and a faith I didn’t have. I am not saying I didn’t have hope; I am saying I am having a new found hope. Having a faith in any particular religion helps folks with their recovery.

Midnight Thoughts

Hello, World!!! I am watching the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. I am cracking up laughing like I usually do watching Jimmy Fallon. Watching a comedy like the Tonight Show before I go to be has proven to be helpful for me to sleep.

I don’t think I’ll get much sleep tonight as I took a long and late nap. A much needed nap. A nap that I am grateful for.

I think I am going to be working on my recovery workbook if I am unable to sleep. Working on my workbook that focuses on recovery is quite helpful for me. As you may know is that my recovery is extremely important to me. It means the world to me.

I also might read my Star Wars: Heir To The Empire if I can not sleep tonight. As I am really enjoying the book.

Midnight Ramblings

Hello, World!!! It is midnight in my corner of the world. I am up watching television. Actually, I am watching The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. I watch this show as it helps with my anxiety especially before I go to bed for the night.

Another thing that helps with my anxiety is the new weighted blank I got today. I really recommend it as it appears to be helpful. Or at least the twelve or so hours I have had it. I didn’t think it would be helpful and boy was I wrong.

I have been working on one of my workbooks. In fact I have been working on the workbooks that deals with mindfulness. Focusing on mindfulness as been quite helpful when I am dealing with.

I think the Ambien is starting to kick in. I think I should get some sleep before I get a little loopy from the Ambien.

SNL + Wonder Woman = Reduced Anxiety

Hello, World!!! At this moment in time I am watching Saturday Night Live (SNL). For me SNL helps me with my anxiety. Tonight the anxiety is involving money and my taxes. I am worried it is going to get lost in the mail. I should have had it directly deposited into my account but I didn’t.

Besides watching SNL, I plan on reading Wonder Woman comic books. Wonder Woman my be a fictional character but she is a sign of strength for me. She is so much of a symbol of strength for me that I am thinking about getting a Wonder Woman tattoo.

Hoping For Some Sleep Tonight

Good Morning, World!!! It is just after midnight in my neck of the woods and I am tired as hell. I didn’t sleep last night and I am hoping that I get some sleep tonight. For me sleep is important to maintain good mental health.

Something that I have been doing to help myself is art work. I have been painting most of tonight and it appears that it is helping me contain my emotions.

Another thing that has been helping is watching television. I am watching the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. For me laughter helps me be able to get into a good head space to be able to get some sleep.

I think I will get going and continue to watch Jimmy Fallon. Have a goodnight and peace out world!!!

Everyday Inspiration; Day 2: Write a List

 

Things I’ve Learned…

  • To play the flute
  • Recovery is non-linear
  • To laugh at myself when life gets tough
  • Books are usually better than the movie
  • Some movies based a superhero’s suck shit
  • Recovery is difficult but sure in the hell a lot more fun
  • Music soothes the soul
  • Reading is a lot more fun that television
  • Going for walks reduces anxiety for me
  • I’m stronger than I think I am

Sleepless In Stormy Seattle

Good Morning, World!!! It is two thirty in the morning in Seattle and I am wide awake once again. At least I did get some sleep tonight so that is a plus. I am not going to complain about getting roughly two hours of sleep. It is more than I got last night.

If you were to look outside right now you would not have guessed that it was a beautiful day in Seattle yesterday. It is quite stormy outside as I sit here and write this post. Stormy weather can be enjoyable at times.

I think I am going to binge watch some M*A*S*H. M*A*S*H  is one of my favorite television shows. The comedy and humor in the show helps me a great deal with the symptoms of my mental health conditions.

Feeling Better

Good Evening, World!!! Today, I have been dealing with a lot of depression. I realized this about an hour and a half ago. I realized why my depression was acting up a little today. I had forgotten to do my meditation and mindfulness practice this morning. So, I did my practice and now I feel better. Today’s topic was love and kindness and how it is okay to self soothe. Meditation and mindfulness self soothes me and is a self care act for me.

After I did my meditation and mindfulness, I watched a few episodes of M*A*S*H. It made me laugh so I hard, I almost peed my pants. Humor helps me a great deal. M*A*S*H reminds me of my childhood when I would watch it with my dad.

It is time to get back to watching M*A*S*H. Have a great evening everyone. Peace Out, World!!!

Boring Evening & Wanting To Go To Bed

Good Evening, World!!! Not sure if I have much to say right now. I am just attempting to keep busy and not go to bed to early. It’s not even eight o’clock yet and I want to go to bed. If I go to bed now, I won’t be able to sleep later on which is not a good thing.

I think I am going to binge watch some television. Specifically, M*A*S*H. I love the show and it makes me laugh. There is a lot of humor in M*A*S*H. Comedies help me through rough and/or boring moments like right now. More boring than anything else. So I think I am going to watch M*A*S*H.
