Just Another Rambling Post

Good Evening, World!!! It has been one of those days where I was not exactly feeling well. By not feeling well I mean I had a slight depression mode most of today. I am not one hundred percent sure why but I know the lack of sleep played some part of the mild depression today. Thankfully, I am feeling better now and my cat, Billie helped me a lot to feel better.

Over the last few days I ordered some stuff from Amazon. I ordered mostly crafting and art stuff. I did order other stuff but that is for another post. Now back on to the art and crafty stuff. I ordered painting stuff as well as coloring stuff. I also ordered cross stitching stuff. I also ordered this new type of art work called diamond painting. You don’t use paint, you use this little stick on stuff that is tiny as hell but looks like fun and challenging. So with everything I am getting from Amazon over the next several days, I know I will have a lot to do but first I need to clean my apartment.

Besides all the crafty and art stuff along with needing to clean my apartment, I have awesome news.If you been reading my blog on the regular basis you know I have a very part time job where I work twelve hours a week at four hours a shift for three days. Anyway I put in my resignation today because I got a full time job as a peer support specialist. Yes, I got a new job and I start in January. I am so very excited that I will be working as a peer specialist again.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Happy Holidays and Peace Out, World!!!

Everyday Inspiration, Day 2; Write a List

What I’ve Learned

  • I’ve learned to play the flute.
  • I’ve learned the basics of playing the harmonica.
  • I’ve learned that the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skill help me when life is unmanageable or just a little stressful.
  • I’ve learned to laugh at myself and that humor goes a long way.
  • I’ve (re)learned several times over that cats are always forgiving and full of unconditional love.
  • I’ve learned from my cat how to be a better human and how to have more patience with humans.
  • I’ve learned that my artwork doesn’t have to be perfect for others to enjoy it.
  • I’ve learned from my cat how to love myself.

Plans & Hopes for the Near & Far Future

Hello, World!!! It is just barely after twelve thirty in the middle of the night here in Seattle. I just wanted to tell you my hopes and plans as well as how I plan on doing all this, specifically for my future. A few months ago I ordered what I thought was a set of two journals from Amazon which turned out to be a set of six journals. So, earlier yesterday (Sunday) afternoon, I figured out what I am going to with the journals. So, I am going to start the day writing a journal entry with what my hopes and plans for the day will be. At the end of the day I will journal as well regarding what I accomplished for the day regarding my plans and if my hopes for the day were what I hoped for.

My hopes and plans coincide with each other as it is not only recovery related to my mental health recovery as well as just everyday stuff. So my everyday plans are to go to work when scheduled and to clean my apartment as my apartment is a disaster area as well as continue to go to therapy. Now my hopes that I plan on becoming plans is to learn about tarot cards and do a specific tarot journal on what the tarot cards tell me. Another hope that I plan on becoming plans is to do workbooks to help with my recovery. In all actuality, I think my hopes and plans will ultimately help with my mental health even though my mental health is doing quite well at the moment.

It is getting late and I am getting tired so I am going to end this particular blog post. Thank for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Happy Holidays and Peace Out, World!!!

Everyday Inspiration, Day 1; I Write Because….

There are many reasons why I write. As far as the reasons I write my blog, let go back to why I started to blog and continue to do so. I started this blog for two main reasons. The first reason is to give hope to those who have not yet made the choice to be in recovery or struggling in their recovery and to remind people who are in recovery that they are not alone as I am in recovery. The second reason why I write this blog is to show those people people who do not have a mental health diagnosis and/or addiction that folks who do struggle with such issues can and do live productive lives however it looks to that individual.

There is a third and very unexpected reason why I blog. When I started writing it was to help other know that they are not alone and let people who don’t struggle that we are just like everyone else. Little did I know that blogging would help with my own recovery and I am so grateful for that.

Now you all know why I write my blog. I hope you continue you to read my blog.

Weekly Check-In

Hello, World!!! It has been quite the week. I worked this past Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. My job is only three days a week which are four hour shifts. In fact I worked this past Thursday which was Thanksgiving here in the United States. I was and am glad that I was able to work Thanksgiving. All three of my work shifts went great. I enjoy my job but I wish I worked more than twelve hours a week. My boss and colleagues are amazing.

Now back to the topic of Thanksgiving. I not only worked but spent time with my dads side of the family. I had an awesome dinner that my uncle made. I had dinner with my dad, grandpa and two uncles. I love my family so much. I also called my mom to wish her a Happy Thanksgiving. I also called my two uncles as well as my two aunts on my mom’s side to wish them a Happy Thanksgiving. To be honest, I called my mom three times as she is dealing with stage three cancer and since my brother is in jail I wanted to make sure she know that I love her. My mom did spend Thanksgiving with my two uncles (her brothers) and one of their girl friends. So, I am grateful she was not only on Thanksgiving.

As far as yesterday goes, I worked and came home and started doing my holiday traditions. I first turned on holiday music and then started two different holiday jigsaw puzzles. I am still trying to figure out what holiday book I am going to read this year. I have three holiday books in mind. Who know’s I might read all three. I am also going to be coloring holiday posters. Some I started last year and didn’t finish and some I will start this year. Anyway, I am getting into the holiday spirit and doing it my style.

Well, that is my weekly check-in for the week. Now it is time to cuddle up with my cat Billie and read. Happy Holidays and Peace Out, World!!!

Best Part of Waking Up is Billie in My Lap as I Read

Good Morning and Happy Saturday, World!!! I slept in this morning which was awesome since I woke up in the middle of the night. It took me about two hours to get back to sleep but on the good note I was able to get back to sleep as well as sleep in.

In fact the best part of this morning was not the sleeping in part part; it was the Billie cuddling up in my lap as I finally chose a holiday book to read. In fact it is a Christmas book I am going to start reading after I am done posting this particular blog post. The book I will be reading is ” Sleigh Bells Riding” by RaeAnne Thayne. I’m not exactly sure what the book is about except it is set during Christmas time. It is going to be one of those days I stay in and read as well as hang out with my wonderful cat, Billie.

The weather is the typical Seattle weather. The ground is wet gut at least it is not raining. Do it’s a damp cold day in Seattle. I might even work on my jigsaw puzzle to today which is in the holiday spirit.

i co not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. Happy Holidays and Peace Out, World!!!

Sleepless in Seattle & Cat Tarot Card

Good very early in the morning, World!!! it is 2;07 in the blasted in freaking in the morning here is Seattle. So, I am trying to get back into the tarot card thing again. One is about cats and a journal that isn’t associated with the Tarot deck but will go well together. I also have another Tarot deck that appear to be for advanced. I did order to advanced journals for this particular deck which is called, “Radiant Wise Spirit” which I have two tarot journals for. I am going to hope this will help with my recovery process. On a side not have some basic tarot journals so when I get a hang of it i have it I have extra.

In fact I am going to order more tarot card and journal that possibly go with the set. I just want the tarot stuff to help with my recovery and will be a great way to start and end the day with. I will like to get some guidebooks regarding tarot cards. Anything to help my recovery and my future.

Who knew a sleepless night in Seattle will help continuing with my recovery process. I will also look into some self help workbook. Now on to do shopping on Amazon. I hope to get some sort of sleep. Goodnight and Peace Out, World!!!

Looking Forward to Laid Back Weekend

Happy Friday, World!!! It is the day after Thanksgiving which most American call “Black Friday” due to the major sales retailers have for holidays shoppers seeking the perfect gift. Anyway, I have never liked “Black Friday” nor understand why you would want to stand in line hours before the butt crack of dawn.

On that note, I worked this more and am now off and home enjoying the company of my lovely cat, Billie. This is the time of year I pull out my winter and/or holiday jigsaw puzzles and start doing one or two of them. I also pull out a holiday book to read. I already started on one of my holiday jigsaw puzzles. I am not exactly sure what holiday book I will read. I am going to be coloring a holiday poster.

The weather in Seattle today sucks but it is the “normal” Seattle weather. Even though I currently don’t have a holiday book to read, I do have book that I am reading. So, I think I will make some hot tea and curl up in a blanket or two with my cat Billie on my lap as I read.

In fact I think this weekend is going to be a curl up and read type of weekend. Or at least stay in my pajama’s and do puzzles. I love this type of weather sometimes because it gives me an excuse to read, do puzzles, do art and just hang out in my pajama’s with my cat Billie.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciative from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Happy Holidays and Peace Out, World!!!

Happy Thanksgiving from Seattle

Happy Thanksgiving, World!!! This is going to be a short post but just wanted to wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving. Yes, I know not every place around celebrates Thanksgiving. Today’s weather for Thanksgiving especially for Seattle was and still is absolutely beautiful and clear. You can even see Mount Rainier.

I started off Thanksgiving this morning at work. I did a four hour shift and loved it. I am beyond grateful to help young adults who do not have a home to go to. I then came home quickly, said hi to my cat Billie and grabbed a load of laundry to due on my grandpa’s while having Thanksgiving dinner. It was nice a holiday dinner without in arguing. I am also grateful for time with family. Now I am home blogging as my cat Billie purrs in my lap. It has been a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I do not have much more to say in this blog. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. Peace Out, World
