Good News!!!

Good Afternoon, World!!! I just wanted to tell the world I have a job interview for a peer specialist (counselor) job. It is on Wednesday and I am slightly anxious about the interview but also excited about it as well.

I have decided since my last post that I will be attending art group. Art is always a great thing for me to do. I made this decision before finding out about the interview. Art will help me express my emotions. The many emotions I am having at the moment.

The sun is out here in Seattle. The sunny warm spring like weather is always good on a Monday. Nobody really enjoys Mondays even if you are working.

On a side note I briefly checked in with my clinician about the job stuff a few moments ago. He seems cool. We will discuss more tomorrow but he appears to care and comprehend the fact that I need more human interaction and something to do with my life. He honestly seems to understand the fact I need some structure in my life that I can be happy with.

Thank you for reading. It is so very much appreciated. Peace Out, World!!!

I Miss Work

Good Morning, World!!! It looks like it is going to be yet another lazy day for me. The weather just sucks here in Seattle. At least it is not freezing ass cold like back on the East Coast and in the Midwest of the United States. In some places in the U.S it is even snowing. So I guess Seattle’s nasty, yucky ass weather isn’t as bad as it could be.

As yucky as it is today and the fact I want to be lazy, I’ll attempt to do something productive today. I am going to be applying for jobs today. Jobs that I may not even get an interview for but at least I am doing something in hopes to get off of disability. Plus, not working is boring as hell for me.

Yes, I have been doing things to keep myself busy but for me work gives me a sense of accomplishment other things don’t always give me. I love going to work most of the time and look forward to when I am able to go back.

Thank you for reading. It is greatly appreciated from my end of thing. You are all awesome. Peace Out, World

Sleepless in Rainier Than Usual Seattle

Good Morning, World. It is just past three o’clock in the morning in my corner of the world and I am tired as hell. For some reason I am unable to sleep right now. Listening to the rain is helping me stay relaxed and calm.

Another thing that is calming me is my book. It is helping me not think about things that are bothering me at the moment. It is nice to be able to be so into a book and enjoy the world the author has created.

Thank you for reading. It is much appreciated. Peace Out, World!!!

Weekly Check-In

Good Evening, World!!! Right now I should be volunteering however I am still dealing with the grief of loosing my grandma. I miss her very much.

Besides dealing with grief all week, I’ve been busy. Busy doing attempting to be a productive individual in society. Society that expect me to be doing well but I am not or least not where I want to be.

The week started out with me meeting with Gilbert (now old therapist), my now old case manager and my new clinician. It was interesting. Interesting in the fact I am not sure how this is going to play out for me therapeutically.

I have also been reading my book off and on this week and am grateful to have the time to read. I am enjoying the book I am reading.

Most importantly I am starting up cross stitching again. It is helping me with my depression symptoms. Cross stitching and reading is something I have been doing most of the day as it’s even too rainy for us Seattleites.

Now I am going to watch movies from my childhood and binge eat on stack food. Thank you for reading. Goodnight and Peace Out, World!!!

A Rainless Day In Seattle, It Is Not

Good Evening, World!!! It is a yucky weather day here in Seattle. The rain has stopped for now as pictured below. Yes, the ground is wet and the sky is grey but at least no rain for now. See picture below.IMG_0340.JPG

Something I did today was work on my stamped cross stitch. It is cross stitch where the pattern is stamped already to the fabric. Which is different from counted cross stitch. It is that of a skull. Kind reminds me of Day of the Dead skull. As you can tell from the picture below I’ve only done the red part of the eye on the left.

I also read quite a bit today. I am grateful for days like today. I was pretty much able to be lazy for a good portion of it. I was able to cross stitch and read after getting food from the grocery store and farmers market earlier in the day. I love it when I get chores done early than I expect.

Thank you for reading. It is much appreciated. Peace Out, World!!!!.

A Yucky Weather Type of Day

Good Morning, World!!! It is raining up a storm here in Seattle. It is not the normal Seattle drizzle or mist, Seattle typically has. It is rain and I mean rain. There have already been power outages reported.

It is one of those days you just want to stay home and curl up with a good book. I am going to be doing that after I do some adulting. I am going be going to the local Farmers Market to be some fresh fruit.

Have a wonderful Saturday everyone. Thank you for reading my blog. It’s appreciated. Peace Out, World!!!

Seattle Police Helping With Opioid Epidemic

Good Evening, World!!! I am a happy camper right now as the local news station I watch made sure to emphasis a particular that many advocates like myself are thrilled about. Seattle Police was able to get a donation of one hundred or so naloxone (narcan) for more officers to carry to help in an opioid overdose.

I know many people take issues with such things however, I as advocate of the Harm Reduction model as well as being a live in general I am all for this. You kind of need to be alive to be able to choose to be in recovery.

Below is a picture of what a naloxone kit looks like.

10 O’clock Ramblings About Baseball

Hello, World!!! I have a lot on my mind to where going to bed at a decent time appears to not be an option. Or at least it seems like it is not an option at the moment. My depression is acting up along with the symptoms of my PTSD.

So, I am now watching the ten o’clock news here in Seattle to see what is going on in this world. It is the same shit different day. On a plus note it is finally Baseball season.

Baseball is my favorite sport. The Angels are my favorite team as I was born and raised in Anaheim. I do root for the Seattle Mariners when they aren’t playing the Angels or the Dodgers.

I love following the stats that go with being a baseball time. It’s the one time I understand and able to comprehend math.

I guess, I will finish watching the news and try to go back to bed. Goodnight and Peace Out World!!!

Depression Go Away & Never Come Back

Good Evening, World!! It is a sunny day in Seattle and I am loving it. The sun appears to help my mood a great deal.

As helpful as the sun is to my overall mood, my depression appears to be acting up. Despite wanting to isolate and stay cooped up in my apartment, I went to the park and read. I found that reading outside in the park today was of great help to me. I got a natural dose of Vitamin D while not isolating and getting out of my own head.

I just wish my depression wasn’t acting up at the moment. I am now obviously blogging to see if putting into word will help. A good portion of the time blogging helps. Especially if it is in combination of using other skills I have. In this case it has been reading.

Thank you for reading. Have a great day. Peace Out, World!!!

Back Home In The Concrete Jungle of Seattle

Good Afternoon, World!!! The funeral was amazing. I am finally back home in the concrete jungle I call Seattle.

The first thing I am going to do after I am done blogging is call Gilbert, my therapist. After that I’m going to get my meds. Good ole meds in the jungle of Seattle.

Thank you for reading my short ass post regarding me back in the concrete jungle of Seattle. Thank you so much for reading and Peace Out, World!!!
