A Brain Full of Baseball, Art & Reading

Good Evening, World!!! I know I recently just posted within the last hour or so. Most likely I post less than an hour ago but I am okay with that. I have a brain full of random shit.

Right now I am listening to the Seattle Mariner versus Los Angeles Dodger game on the radio. I am rooting for the Dodgers as I am originally from the Los Angeles area. I am hoping that the Dodgers win.

As I blog I am listening to the game however after I am done blogging I’ll most likely do some art as I listen to the game on the radio. Actually, I most likely will be coloring as I listen to the baseball game.

I think after the baseball game is over with I am going to read the fantasy book I am reading. I haven’t spent much time reading my novels as of lately and think its time to get back in the habit of it.

I should really get going so I can listen to the baseball game and color. Afterwards, I will read my fantasy novel.

Just Another Boring Post

Hello, World!! I know I just posted about an hour ago however, I am bored and felt like just writing about stuff. Stuff that will be repetitive as I have post about it before and other stuff that is not so interesting.

Let’s start off with the advertisements on my blog. I have advertisements on my blog to make a little extra money. It’s not much but it is something. All people have to do is click on the advertisement and I earn a few cents. I know this might be asking a lot from you but can you all click on the advertisements if you see them. I am saving up the money to help pay for gifts for my family during the holidays.

Now on another repetitive topic of blogging. I am wanting to make more of an effort to blog more. I also want to reach more people however I am unsure of how to do that. Yes, I use tags and attempt to put different tags on topics I discuss so I can get more readership that way. I also post my post to social media accounts and hope that I get more readers that way. I am not really worried about how many “followers” I have, I just want to reach more people so I can help lessen the stigma of mental health challenges as well as give people hope who do struggle with mental health challenges.

Today, is going to be one of those low key days where I am doing nothing. By doing nothing I mean doing things that are good self care for me. Most of which are creative.

I plan on doing some art work. Most likely I will be coloring and collaging and maybe combining the two genre’s of art. I might even paint a little today but not too sure yet. I need to see what paint I may need. If I need certain paint then I will need to go to the art supply store and buy some paint. That however takes money that I may not be able to spend at the moment. Which reminds me I need to look at my budget to see if I can buy more paints and canvasses ,

Another thing I plan on doing is writing some music. I play the flute and harmonica and think it would be fun to write some duets for both instruments to play together. I know it sounds odd but I think writing the right piece for a harmonica and flute duet would be cool.

The other thing I plan on doing today is to read. I will read both the novels I am reading as well as some comic books. I most likely will finish one of the novels today or tomorrow. When it comes down to reading comic books, I will most likely be reading Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman is my favorite comic book. I do like to read other comic books but Wonder Woman is my go to comic book.

I think I bored you enough with this post so I am going to end it for now. Hopefully, I will be able to find time to blog again later today. It seems like if I blog more, the more my readers will see what I have to say next. Well, have a good Wednesday. Peace Out, World!!!

Back Home, For Now

Good Morning, once again, World!!! I am out of the Emergency Room however my regular doctor want me to go to an Urgent Care clinic associated with the doctors office I go to which I plan on doing today. I do have an appointment with my regular doctor this Friday but it feels so far away so my doctor is sending me to an Urgent Clinic to see if they can give me more personalized care. In fact my doctor hopes that the Urgent Care Clinic sends me back to the Emergency Room so I can get admitted for this stupid infection that antibiotics appear to not be as helpful as one would hope they would me.

To tell you the truth, I rather me home spending time with Lil Gertie, my cat. I am sure she misses me as much as I miss her since I have been gone so much for so long as of lately.  My cat has been a great support for me in more ways than one. She has been by my side even when I am puking in the toilet.  She meows out of concern for me when I am puking.

With me not being up to par physically, it is effecting me with my mental health challenges. I do think once I have the physical health gets better so will my mental health symptoms. Or one can hope my mental health symptoms can get better.

I think I should get going so I can get to Urgent Care like my doctor wants me to. I will be taking my laptop with me because who knows what the hell is going to happen. Plus, I will be taking my coloring and art supplies. I can’t forget my trusty phone and headphones for music as music helps me a great deal. I of course will be talking both books and comic books to help me as well. I never know when this stupid illness will put me into the hospital.

Who The Hell Knows Where This Post Is Going To Say?

Good Afternoon, World!!! Yes, I know this is like my third post for the day in just a few hours but I have a lot on my mind. Plus I am wanting to start blogging more often. Blogging about my journey appears to help others and even helps me with my own mental health challenges.

One of the things I want to bring up which I have discussed before and is sort of a random though is the the advertisements I have to earn some extra cash to help pay for some desired things I would like have such as art supplies. I just hope that those who do get the advertisements click on to them for me as that’s how I make the money. You don’t have to purchase anything from the sights. You just need to click on it and let it load from my understanding. I know it’s asking a lot from you my reader to do that and I hope you know it helps me with my hobbies like my art work and blogging and other such things.

As I blog, I hope to blog about different things in my post to add different tags in hopes to bring my readership. I know the might seem a little weird or odd but anyway I can get folks to read my blog then maybe I can help just one more person get the hope they need to be in recovery with their mental health challenges, no matter what their recovery looks like for them. Giving others hope is what I desire the most about the blog.

If you read my blog on the regular basis even the semi regular basis you know that I love to do art. Primarily painting and coloring with some occasional collaging. I am hoping that I can share my art work with you all on my blog as soon as I get my camera fixed.

Something I am going to have to do this next week is get some medical care for a possible kidney and bladder infections. Something I don’t want have to deal with but will have to do so. Another thing I have to get checked out is my teeth. I need to get some major dental care done. Getting both medical and dental health care done also helps with mental health.

Something that has been helping me a great deal with my mental health recovery is my emotional support animal, my cat, Lil Gertie. She has been a great help to me with my recovery.  Knowing when I need to be tended to emotionally. Lil Gertie knows when to get my attention when I am in a bad spot which is good thing. Too bad I can’t take her into places lie grocery stores.

I think I am going to get going now. I am wanting to go read and have lunch. I know what book I am going to read as it’s one I have already started and want to finish. Now trying to figure out want I am going to have for lunch. I hope everyone has a good weekend. Don’t blink or the weekend will disappear. Have an awesome weekend. Peace Out, World!!!

Looking at the Bright Side of Things

Good Morning, (again), World!!! As I sit here writing this post I can’t help but think how good things are for me despite tooth pain and depression. I’m looking past the pain and depression at the bright things in my life. Some of my bright things in my life are simple things while others are the usual things people are grateful for.

Bright Side of Things in my life are as follows:

  • Lil Gertie (my cat)
  • Family
  • Friends
  • Play-Doh (yes, I did just say Play-Doh)
  • Blogging
  • Having a roof over my head (a place to live)
  • Food and food stamps
  • Reading and being able to read
  • Music and being able to play a musical instrument
  • My hoodies (hooded sweatshirts)
  • My Art supplies
  • Comic Books (specifically Wonder Woman)
  • My stuffed animals (especially the teddy bear, I’ve had since I was born)

As you can tell I have a great deal of things that help me look at the bright side of things. I realize that some of them may be silly but if they help me look at the bright side of things then dealing with the tooth pain and depression aren’t as bad.

Things that I have been doing today that have been quite helpful for both depression and tooth pain are a combination of things. One thing that has been quite helpful is playing with my cat, Lil Gertie. I must of wore her out as she is sleeping at the moment. Another thing I’ve been doing is reading. I’ve been reading both a novel and comic books. I of course had music playing in the background as it is soothing. I’ve also been doing various genres of art work with of course music playing in the background. I’ve also been playing with my toys such as Play Doh as well as my Hot Wheels Cars and holding my stuffed animals.

I Can’t Seem to Stay Awake

Good Early Afternoon, World!!! For some reason, I can’t seem to stay awake today. Not sure why as I feel fine physically. Maybe my body is try to catch up with the depression I have been recovery from. I’m not sure why I am sleeping most of the day away but apparently I need the sleep. I just hope I am able to sleep tonight.

Besides sleeping most of the day, I have been able to do some chores. I cleaned the kitty litter box as well as both the bathroom and kitchen. So, I haven’t exactly been a lazy, I’ve just been extremely sleepy for some odd reason. My big issue for the day is being able to sleep tonight. I’ll worry about that when tonight comes if the no sleep happens.

Since I have done some chores among my long sleeping periods, I think I am going to read as it appears to be one of those lazy type of days for me. Since I love to read maybe it will help me stay awake a little bit.

Depressed Yet Grateful

Good Morning, World!!! I woke up this morning depressed yet grateful to be alive. I’m grateful to be alive as I am realizing that I never would have thought when I was in my late teens and early twenties that I would live to be my current age of 39. I thought way back when that I would have been dead due to suicide.

Despite being depressed and unemployed, I am grateful for my life and the life I have lived thus far. Yes, I have made my fare share of mistake however they have helped shaped who I am today. I have decided to share with you my gratitude list for the day.

Mr. Sandman, Where Are You?

Good Morning, World!!! I have yet to get to sleep despite trying. Lil Gertie has been helping me through some anxiety attacks. Anxiety attacks that can be debilitating. I don’t think my anxiety is causing me to not sleep however it something to discuss with my therapist.

I have been reading as this time of morning there is nothing on and don’t feel like doing much of anything else. I have been reading a book I put down a few months ago and decided to start reading it again.

I am thinking I am going to get going as I want to try to get some sleep before I need to get up. I just wish I knew were Mr. Sandman was so I could sleep. Thank you for reading. Peace Out, World!!!

Feeling Meh Getting Slightly Better

Good Evening, World!!! I am still feeling a little meh however the feeling is slightly getting better. Having depression sucks shit but if I acknowledge the depression I know what to do to help myself through it. At least when it is in its milder form for me.

When I realized I was feeling depressed, I hung out with my family. We had waffles for a late breakfast. We also watch a baseball game on television. The team we were rooting for won.

When I got home I worked on my Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) homework. I also read ahead for the next group. DBT has helped through some really difficult times. Times where I could have given up but didn’t because I used my DBT skills.

After doing my DBT homework, I read. I read for about an hour. Reading helped me get out of my head. I read a Star Wars book that I am enjoying quite immensely.
