A Day of an Unexpected yet Mostly Good Things

Good Afternoon, World, from Seattle. Today has be full of the unexpected with mostly good things. First of all I finally got some much needed sleep and secondly Billie Dean did not use himself has an alarm clock and let e sleep in an extra thirty minutes.

The job is still very uncertain with the lay off thing. On that note I let my supervisor know yesterday I plan on staying but putting out resume’s out there which she understands and will be a great reference for me. I’ve bee letting client know as well because they deserve to know what is going on to the best of my abilities. My colleagues are supporting me in my decision. I really love my job as it is one of two of my dream jobs.

On that note the old HR Director from my current employer sent me some peer jobs that are opened at the moment. The other cool thing the former Vice President of my current employer did the same thing and they don’t work for the same compony anymore.

I’ve been highly focused on work to day by listening to music as I do notes on clients and taking breaks. While taking breaks, I’ve been reading comic books. Both remind me of my childhood and can help me refocus on what I need to focus on.

And lets not forget the love and attention I have been receiving from my beloved cat, Billie Dean. Billie gives me a ton of unconditional love that I don’t even deserve. I love Billie so much and I am so happy to have him in my life. He is an amazing kitty.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing it. It is greatly appreciated from my end that you read my blog. Again from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. I just want you to remember that my readers of my blog a beyond awesome. Peace Out, World!!!

Sleepless in Seattle with Reminders of Childhood

First and fore most I would like to wish my friend Jodi a happy birthday. If she were still alive she would be 40 years old today. I think that is why I am listening to my childhood playlist on Spotify. To remember all the good things we had growing up.

I wish I could sleep but sadly I can’t. I think it is because I have so much on my mind which is why I am listening to childhood music and reading comic books. Of course Billie Dean my cat wants to help me blog.

Reading comic books and listening to childhood music help me grieve the death of my friend. She was a great friend, I should get going and try to sleep. I do have to work. Thank you for reading my blog. Peace Out World!!!

Still Sleepless in Seattle

Good Morning, again, World!!! I am still sleepless in Seattle. Apartment is still cold despite the heat being on full blast but at least its slight warmer than my last post. Despite the lack of sleep, I till plan on volunteering at PAWS Cat City at 9:00am in the morning, Seattle time. I love volunteering especially at PAWS Cats City. I do have say my cat Billie Dean is a wee bit jealous when I get home from volunteering but quickly goes away when he gets treats, cat nip, extra wet food and some play time. Billie is one spoiled cat. I love him so much. Billie and I seem to be going be be reading Wonder Woman Comic Books till I go volunteer. Both of of us seem to be homebodies lately which is good thing.

Well, I guess it’s back to reading Wonder Woman comic books. I have a lot of them plus collectable of Wonder Woman stuff. I hope to talk to you later. Have a Sunday everyone. Peace Out World!!!

A Nice Day off of Work

Happy Friday, Night from Seattle. In fact there is only nine minutes left of Friday here in Seattle. I decided to take a PTO (Paid Time Off) day off and I am glad I did. It’s allowed me to take a metal health break from work especially with the board of of directors are wanting to close the agency and the county wanting to keep it open. See very little hope from the county but I a not holding my breath.

Today’s day off was for self care. I spent a lot of time with friend pets and animals which is a good thing because it helped with my mood and helped me hopeful for the day. Of coursed spending the day with my cat Billie Dean aka Billie the Kat. I love having time with pets and animals.

I also spent the day doing artwork while listening to music. I colored and painted as I listened to various genre’s of music. I primarily listened to old school eighties rock. The kind with the big hair. I think it helped a great deal doing art while listening to music.

I also spent time with a family member who helped me with my taxes. We will finish them tomorrow. So I feel like I had an overall good day.

After starting my taxes with my family member, I decided to read. I read most of a book that I started today an will finish the book tomorrow. Looking forward to finishing the book tomorrow.

I don’t have much more to say but thank you for reading my blog. I am grateful for you the reader reading my blog. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Burnout is Real; Mental Health Day off From a Job I Love

Good Morning, World!!! I am starting to feel some burn out on my much loved job. My work colleagues, the supervisors and the leadership team are supportive of me taking off time for my mental health as well as the burnout I am slightly feeling at the moment which I am grateful for because they have my back just like my colleagues do.

So, I am planning on doing a day of self care today. That would include reading books and of course comic books are included in that list. I love me some science fiction and fantasy books as well as some pretty awesome comic books.

Another thing I plan on doing is some art work. Specifically, the art I will be doing is some coloring. While I color, I either listen to some music whichever genre fits my mood at the time or listen to a podcast about philosophy. Specifically, if I listen to a philosophy podcast as I color, I listen to “Philosophize This” which is an awesome podcast.

I am hoping doing this self care mental health day off will help with my slight burnout. I am grateful for a supportive employer. My employer is so awesome.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post except it was nice to sleep in. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you again from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Not a Productive Day

Good Afternoon, World!!! Today has been a pretty unproductive day. I have been asleep all day due to the fact I waited to attend a twelve step meeting. I got the right time but wrong day. I did attend another twelve another meeting last night. I’m glad I went.

I also did some reading of some science fiction and fantasy books that I could not stop reading. I love those king of books that I couldn’t put down because they are so good. I spent four hours reading two different books last night.

On another plus note, Billie Dean, my cat was a happy camper because he got a lot of play time as well as some catnip. My cat is now wanting my catnip but he will have to wait to later this evening.

As far as attending twelve step meetings today, I am not sure if I am going to attend as I am really tired that I might not be able to fully focus on the meeting. That kind of goes for my chores I was planning on doing today. I just don’t have enough energy or focus to do my household shores.

I did get my daily walk in which is an accomplishment concerting how tired I am from not having any sleep last night due to my own doing. I at least completed something today. I also am planning on playing with my cat Billie Dean. He deserves all the play time he can get especially since he need to loose two to three pounds. I love my cat, so much It’s hard to believe that tomorrow will be his two you gotcha (adoption) date. I am love how loving and cuddly Billie is.

I don’t have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank your for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out. World!!!

No Sleep Again In Seattle, Last Night (But It Was Completely My Fault)

Good Morning, World and Happy Saturday especially those who have it off. It is now 9:00am Seattle time and I got absolutely no sleep. But this time it was completely my fault and nothing to do with insomnia, neighbors arguing and fighting with each as well as an idiot neighbor pulling the fire alarm.

I stayed up attending Twelve step meetings as well as reading twelve step literature. Specifically the Big Red Book (aka the BRB). I am learning a great deal from the meetings as well as the literature. I am grateful that I am making this part of my new years goals as well as my part of my recovery.

I am also grateful that I had time to read some books that I am reading for pleasure. Specifically, I am reading science fiction books as well as some fantasy books. It helps me with my self care and escape from the realities this world how now a days. Books are a great way to escape from reality.

Another thing that kept me awake and my cat was thrilled about it which as I played with him a good portion of the night now he is sleeping like the beauty queen (or should say king) that he is. My at is so amazing and tomorrow is is two year official gotcha date. I love my babe boy Billie and he has help me a great deal with my recovery.

I don’t have much more to say in this particular blog post. I will be going to a twelve step meeting before going to bet to take a nap. I also want to thank you the reader for reading y blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Have a good weekend all and happy Saturday. Peace Out, World!!!

Update on 2022 Goals (Part Two)

Good Evening, World!!! I just wanted to update you on my 2022 New Year’s goals. First and fore most, I started walking on the regular basis as part of my goals for the year and realize it can change but I feel like it is a good way to start the day.

As for as work, I am continuing to work which is quite helpful. I am also going to start volunteering at PAWS Cat City after taking time off from volunteering due to having Covid-19. I am looking forward to volunteering again with cat.

As fart as my art goal with coloring, I have been setting time to coloring for at least thirty minutes a day. It helps me get in a good head space just like doing a daily walk. My goal is to have my coloring time increase to an hour a day by the end of this year just like I hope to walk an hour a day by the end of 2022.

Of course I am dealing well with my reading goal and reading a chapter or two a day. I am really enjoying the book I am reading and hope to give some update about it.

As far as my mindfulness meditation practice on a daily basis it helping me a great deal with starting my day as as well as ending my day. I’m thrilled on how helpful mindfulness meditation is quite helpful for me.

As far as the the tarot cards as well the tarot card journal, I am reading up on tarot reading to make sure I am doing it right and this might take longer than expected but I am hoping that I schedule the learning part into my daily activities as I want to accomplish most of my goals this year. I know some might not be accomplished by the end of 2022 but I will continue to work on them into 2023.

I do have more goals to share with you and will continue to update you on them at least once a week even thought I hope to update more often like twice to three times a week. I just want to make sure I am held I am help accountable by you my reader.

I do not have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Have a great weakened and Peace Out, World!!!

A Late Post about New Years Goals for 2022 Part One

Good Evening, World!!! I know it’s the last day of January and many people have already discussed and started their new years goals. Some even failed at them already which is something that many people do including myself.

I have many goals for the year 2022 and realize that my goals can change for whatever reason and I am okay with that. So, as of right now one of my new years gIoals for 2022 is to learn to read tarot cards. This is to help me direct what my day will be like and focus on what I need to focus on for the day. I first need to first read and learn about it before doing readings on myself and hopefully others. I also have a tarot journal to document what my reading informed me for the day. The cool thing is that the first and only tarot card set is cats. It is my hope that as I learn about tarot as well as use my tarot journal that I will document here on my blog post.

Of course another another way for me to stay connected to the world as well as my self is to restart both mindfulness and meditation practices. I say this because when I started this last year that last one hundred days it helped a great deal with with not just my mental health symptoms but my everyday life like going to work and volunteering. I ended up having more focus on what I needed to do. I am also plan on focusing on journaling before and after a mindfulness and/or mindfulness practice so I can see any improvement in life including my recovery as well as my work and volunteer job.

Speaking of work and volunteering, I plan on continuing on doing both. I don’t see any changes in work or volunteering as I love doing both, I according to those in charge I am doing a “great job and always willing to learn.

As fart as my cat Billie Dean, I will continue to take care of him and most importantly, love him with all my heart. He is a sweet love bug of a cat that is such a cuddle bug. I love my cat so much. I don’t know how lucky I got with Billie choosing me to adopt him.

Of course I have other goals for the new year. On of which is to read. Specifically, read books that I have been meaning to read for years. It is my plant to read six books this year in 2022. To me this seems like a realistic goal I can accomplish when it comes to reading.

Another go I have for this year is to do some art work. My plan is to color two coloring pages as well as paint at least one painting. I feel like this is a realistic goal. I am looking forward to this goal as well as well as my other goals.

I do have have other goals in which I will share in another post within the next couple of days. I don’t have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciation from my end of things that you the reader read m blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writer my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. I hope you have a good night sleep. Peace Out, World!!!
