Everyday Inspiration; Day 8: Reinvent the Letter Format

I’m not exactly like to reinvent something that works such as letters. I know there are different type of letters; like business letters, person letters to friends and family as well as Dear John letters. But why reinvent the letter. All it matters to me is that I have friends that send me letters that are delivered by the mail carrier. I happily respond to those letter to friend and family via letter. Hand written letters are so much more personable than email ninety-nine percent of the time. So why reinvent the letter.

Weekly Check-In

Good Evening, World!!! It is that time in the evening where I do my weekly check-in. It has been an up and down week for me. Sunday I volunteered a Paws Cat City and had a great time volunteering like I always do.

Monday, I took off because it was Valentines Day which is really difficult for me because my grandma died four years ago and Valentines Day. I didn’t know if I was going to be a hot mess or not so I took the day off from work. Valentines Day landed on a day I work from twelve noon to eight o’clock in the evening. I did pretty good till about six o’clock when the grief hit me like Tsunami. Besides being hit my a Tsunami of grief at six o’clock in the evening, I had a pretty good day. I went on brunch “date” with my grandpa at IHOP. We had an awesome time eating great food and remembering the good times with my grandma before she passed away four years ago.

Despite spending some good times with my grandpa as we remembered my grandma, I had a of friend call me to check in on me. I really think the support my grandpa and I gave each other as well as the support my friends gave me really helped with the grief. Of course my cat Billie Dean helped a great deal with help with the grief of my grandma especially when I became a hot mess with tears rolling done my face for about an hour.

As for work goes it went well. I really love my job. My colleagues are beyond awesome. All three of peers support specialist including myself got some add work to do which I think is awesome as it will ultimately help the clients we serve. I really love my job and the freedom they give use peers and how the supervisors don’t micromanage us peers.

I don’t have much more to say in the particular blog post. I do want to thank your for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Everyday Inspiration; Day 4: A Story in a Single Image

Hello, World!!! Today’s assignment is to have a story in a single image. Sadly, WordPress gives the same four images which doesn’t help me find inspiration anymore since I have taken this course before. I am choosing to not share the image I am choosing to writer about is for several reasons. One; I am writing under pseudonym which happens to be a nickname I had as a kid. Two; one of the people in the picture I am looking at to writer about has a lifetime restraining order against someone who nearly killed them. Three; I don’t have everyone’s permission to post on my blog which I will respect.

The picture I am looking a picture of a group of friend with me as we are doing a ropes course as part of a team building exercise for band camp. Yes, I went to band camp. I remember this quite vividly as many of my peers didn’t think I had it in me to do the ropes course much less ending up being the leader of it so my friends could complete the course. Hell, I didn’t think I had it in me.

In fact despite never being the best flute player in the band, this ropes course at band camp gave me the confidence I needed to keep practicing my flute. From then on, I was never last chair again. I ended up third to last chair. Still not even close to being first chair but kept me practice to make sure that I didn’t go back to second to last chair or last chair. I tried many times to be fourth to last chair but in all honesty the person in fourth last chair had more talent that I did.

The picture of the ropes course with my friends not only gave me confidence in myself but it gave my peers some much more respect and I also ended up with some self respect because of this. So, the picture or image I told you about is something to write about which is why I got my inspiration from it.

The Love Hate Relationship w/Social Media

Good Evening, World!!! It is almost ten o’clock at night here in the Seattle area. As some of you may be aware of that not only was yesterday (Monday) Valentines Day, it was also the fourth year anniversary my grandma past away. I had post several times yesterday on Facebook about how much I miss my grandma.

Sadly, I had to unfriend three so called friends. The all individually contacted me privately that I was being “too dramatic” about my grandma death. One even said that “loosing your grandma isn’t like loosing your mom.” This person does has a point but had no idea that my grandma was my motherly figure for a good portion of my life because my own mom was not able to be a mom to me at the time. Thankfully, my mom and are slowly minding our relationship which is a good thing as she did what she need to do to fix things in here life to be a better mom to me. On that note, I another so called friend let me that I “needed to kill” myself. So basically, was told I should die by suicide. There is no way in fucking hell that I will die by suicide as I have too much to live for.

The reasons I have to live for is one; I have have job I love with a passion. Two; I have the two loves of my lives; Billie Dean my cat and my teddy bear I’ve had since I was born. Three; I have friends and family that not only care about me but love me as well. Four, I want to let my clients know that suicide isn’t always the answer that they one day will do some great and awesome.

I am so glad suicide hasn’t grossed my mind in years. I’m glad that suicide is not an option for me. I love my live and am content with it. Plus, I have great supportive friend and family that love and care about me.

I do not have much more to say in this particular post except that I do not want to die or kill myself. I also want to thank you for reading my blog. It is also greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Weekly Check In

Good Evening, World!!! It is another weekend and it’s Saturday. Saturdays are the day I have chosen to do my weekly check ins with you my reader since Saturdays are technically the last day of the week according to most calendars.

I do not have much to check in about this week. Overall, work went well this week. Art group at work went really well and if felt really productive. Or at least more productive this past Monday than in the recent past. I think doing art group is one of my favorite parts of my job. I love my job and being able to help clients where they are at.

On the friend front, I went and hung out with a good friend of mine yesterday (Friday) evening. We went out to dinner. We of course went to our favorite restaurant, Red Robin. I love Red Robin so much that I ended up getting six gift cards for Red Robin for Christmas totaling one hundred fifty dollars. My friends and family know me well when it comes to my favorite restaurant of Red Robin.

As far as family goes is I went to my grandpa’s house today. I did some of my laundry which is nice because I don’t have to pay for it like I do in my apartment building. One of my uncles made some enchilada’s for dinner. Boy was is good. I love spending time with my family. My grandpa also took me to renew my driver license today. We waited nearly three hours which sucked but at least I got to spend time with my grandpa.

Now that I am home for the remainder or the weekend with a couple of exceptions, I am spending some much needed time with my cat Billie Dean. Billie has helped me quite a bit this week when I’ve been home. My PTSD has been acting up and Billie know exactly what to do and he didn’t need any training. When I haven’t been working from home, I’ve been spending time with Billie as well as doing artwork while listening to music very loudly. In fact the artwork I have been doing is coloring. I’ve been coloring to some pretty awesome music. In fact, I’ve listened to MxPx, ACDC, Guns & Roses and Twisted Sister. It’s been one of them weeks where I needed some very loud music.

I do not have much more to say in this particular post. I do, however, want to thank you the reader for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it was not for you the reader, reading my blog, I would not be writing my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. Peace Out, World!!!

Before Going into the Office Post

Happy Friday, Morning, World!!! As much as I really don’t want to work today, I am looking forward to it. In fact Fridays is one of the days I actually work from the actual office and not from home. There are pros and cons from working from both the office and from home.

The plus side of working from the office is that it appears that I am more productive. Another plus to working in the office is I get to see a half dozen or so colleagues in person. Plus, the cool thing is I get to have a couple of in person sessions with clients.

As far as working as working from home I enjoy it but sadly, I am not as productive. I do have to say working from home remotely has made my colleagues and I more closer as co-workers because we make an effort to have “get togethers” even if its only once or twice a week via Zoom after work hours. I another reason why I like working from home is I get to sleep in a bit longer and wear comfortable clothing from the waist down. My “professional” clothing is mostly comfortable. The best part from working from home is have my cat be my colleague. With that being said, my cat, Billie Dean, is sometimes the reason why I get so distracted working from home. Another plus is if I’m working from home and having a virtual appointment, sometimes my cat makes an appearance which helps build a positive rapport with clients.

Even though I haven’t met all my colleagues in person yet, I am grateful that I have become friends with them. In fact I have become close friends with three of my colleagues which is cool. I love the people I work with and love my job.

I have to get going and finish getting ready for work since I go into the office today which is why I don’t have much more to say in this particular blog post. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. It is is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. If it wasn’t for you the reader, reading my blog I would not be writing my blog. I hope everyone has a beyond awesome weekend ahead of you. Happy Friday and Peace Out, World!!!

Happy Friday

Happy Friday, World!!! Today marks two todays since I officially met my cat Billie Dean while doing a volunteer shift at PAWS Cat City even thought I didn’t officially adopt Billie till February 6th of 2020. Which was about a month and a half before lockdown happened due to Covid-19 the dreaded pandemic everyone wants to go away.

Even though today is the the two day anniversary of officially meeting Billie Dean while volunteering, I put him on hold for two days so I could adopt my cuddly, loving, talkative, fifteen pound kitty who knows how to love me unconditionally as well as a sweet cat who loves everyone especially me. I am grateful that in two days it will be the two year gotcha (adoption) day or Billie. I love my cat so much an am grateful that I was able to adopt Billie right before the lockdown happened and I truly think Billie helped me through the lock down from this stupid pandemic.

In fact today was the first day back to the office after have Covid-19 myself. My colleagues mainly discussed our cats today and how loving they are and how helpful they are for our own mental health. In fact my colleagues have been coming friends to me which is a good thing.

Since becoming friends with colleagues we decided to end our Friday and begin our weekend with going out to dinner. We has some pretty good food from a restaurant across the street from our work. Great food and awesome happy hour drinks at a cheap price.

Having the support of colleagues that are becoming friends as well as the love of my cat Billie surely help me with my every day life as well as my mental health symptoms. It’s great to have friends, colleagues and pet to help me through my depression.

Having great support is awesome. I do not not have much more to say in this particular blog post except thank you for reading my blog. It is greatly appreciated from my end of things that you the reader, read my blog. I am also grateful for it being Friday and the start of the weekend for me. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my blog. I hope everyone has a great weekend and a happy Friday. Peace Out, World!!!

Weekly Check-In

Good Evening, World!!! It is that time of week that I do my weekly check-in. First and fore most I have been working from home due to the fact that I have been dealing with Covid-19. My work is wanting me to come back to the office at least once a week if not twice a week. So I go a Covid-19 test yesterday to see if it comes back negative which I hope it does because I am going stir crazy isolating because of Covid. On that note at least my employer has be very supportive. I consider myself that I am able to work from home when I am not so fatigue from having Covid-19.

On that note, my family and friends as well as my neighbors have supportive of me going through Covid-19. My family, friends and neighbors have been making sure I’ve been getting fed with food they make me. They also provide me with stuff like toilet paper and cleaning supplies. I’m grateful that I have people in my life that care about me and willing to make sure I am doing okay.

Going back to the work issue, I feel like I am lucky that I am able to have the luxury from home. Yes, I did have to take about week off because Covid-19 sucks shit and was so fatigue from it that even working from home was challenging. Again, I am happy that I am well enough to be able to work from home. Yes, I still fill shitty but at least I feel well enough go work from home and I am lucky to be able to work from home.

As far as my sleep goes, it sucks shit. I didn’t sleep well last night and ended up sleeping all day today. My sleep hygiene sucks right now. I am not sure why but I would like to blame having Covid-19. Weather or not Covid is the reason why my sleep schedule is so off.

I don’t have much more lack of sleep issue. I sadly slept all day today due to the lack of sleep I got last night. I really do not like when my sleep schedule is so out of wack but I realize that I will get back to a normal sleep schedule for myself.

I don’t have much more to say about my weekly check in. I do want to thank you for reading my blog. If it wasn’t for you my reader, I would not be writing my blog. I greatly appreciate that you read my blog. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading in my blog. Peace Out, World!!!
